I effed with Okafor heavyyyy man I'm sad he passed ep 1. Oh! Also, it looked like the top book he handed to them was "The Art of Peace", the book Eastman gave Morgan. 😢 seemed like a solid dude. I got the impression he felt "trapped too" but was tryly tryin too support Rick & and anyone who's got Ricks' back I'll instantly support.
The only thing Michonne was lucky was not to have killed Rick by accident by shooting down the helicopter unless she had Intel. I am glad she found him.❤

Just finished watching...this whole episode was an emotional rollercoaster🙆 The scream I scrumpt and the tears I cried when Michonne and Rick saw each other at the end😭 This was everything we wanted and more...I hope they go a little deeper into what happened in the 5 years from the time Rick was rescued but man oh man this was absolutely BRILLIANT!!! I'm gonna watch this episode again😀
The logic behind killing the A's is because they are seen as strong and have leadership qualities, therefore, they are killed or used as test subjects. 5 years since the bridge, we see Rick making his 4th attempt to escape and return to Michonne, so he cut off his hand.
Rick during his narration of how he got there said after he blow up the bridge he woke up to find himself in a army hospital, therefore at that point he didn't know it was because of Jadis. In his 6th year, 1 year into Okafor fast tracking Rick and Pearl into the CRM, Rick doesn't know that Michonne has found his boots and phone and with Judith's blessing has set off to find him. Thus, connecting the TWD and Towl timeline.
Shame Rick lost his hand for nothing, but the beginning was a great way to show how desperate he was saying “this is how”. Especially thinking about how he failed 3 times before
Extremely desperate, I mean I don’t know what it would take for me to do that. Rick is strong willed and bold as hell that’s for sure!

I wouldn't say for nothing. The 4th time he tried to escape got him on the inside and finally led him to Michonne.
it wasn’t for nothing tho, maybe in universe you could look at it that way, but it was a plot device to show how desperate he was to escape and get home.
the amount of will and down to the wire desperation it’d take to cut your own hand off is an insane amount.
I've been telling this to people in videos, cause they seem to not understand it either. Desperation to get home to your family will drive you to do insane things, I cannot imagine.
Glad to See Rick Grimes and Michonne back in the limelight. Rick is definitely my favorite character.
I love the delayed reaction to seeing the rocket lodged through Okafor's chest. Idk where exactly he got hit but judging by the blood pouring out of his mouth the warhead probably nailed an artery

The A's and B's make complete sense to me. They want to raise leaders from within. Bringing in people like that with independent experience creates a lot of uncertainty and chaos. It's not ideal, but it's so much simpler and way less risky than trying to adapt A's to the city. Plus they use A's for experiments

No i doubt Okafor was lying about changing things. He was pretty genuine, so think u misunderstood this whole brain washing scheme, niether of them were trying to brainwash Rick, just trying to get him onboard like they did. But they dont know our Richonne & rest of his family. Dying to see Rick find out about his 2nd son RJ.
Yeah upon first watch I may have misjudged Okafor slightly but he was still playing against what we wanted and I still have suspicions that he may have attacked Michonne, which is why she started taking them out but we will see. Throne definitely was brainwashed, their political agenda with taking out Omaha solidified her loyalty to them, which will more than likely be an issue later

To answer your question about why they would kill the A's because they're leaders, I think since they view them as leaders, they might revolt or take over, kill their leader, expose secrets, etc. they're already powerful in a way so they're a threat to them coming in if they're an A.
So do they just immediately execute them? Or send them on dummy missions til they die? Any more info?

Absolutely loved it!! That scene of him cutting his hand off to escape!? Damn he's desperate! Oglford was cool imo but we didn't get to see him take down CRM like he wanted and to make it better. I like the Pennsylvania national Guard stood up for civilians and disobeyed orders to bomb Philly, since I live in PA. Like Huck killing those marines too. And the bombing of Atl and LA was Oglford?! Nice tie in to main show and Fear. That reunion was surprisingly quick but awesome too!! Can't wait for more!! Great reaction Tomaj!!! ❤🧟♀️

I think some people were asking how come Rick didn’t just fly one of the choppers back to Alexandria, if I remember right back in fear.
The CRM has like transponder trackers in every heli, so if he were to steal one, the CRM would’ve still tracked him down based off the heli’s location.
I remember that he definitely would’ve had to ditch somewhere and find a new traveling method
@@BigBroLilSis Yeah, the CRM had to dispatch a kill squad to take out Isabelle after she defected from them. That’d be the last thing Rick would want to face, especially if it endangers his loved ones.
But tbf, he can just fly away with the heli and land somewhere completely different if he really wants too.
Okafor would try and kill them, our people are quite resourceful, Michonne killed him before he could see it coming. They definitely don’t know that our people are stronger than most of the ones they encounter.

Ok so when I kept seeing some potential spoilers or speculations of him loosing his hand getting bit and then cutting it off..I was like lame super lame just cause issues with budget and cgi
But I have to admit I was wrong. I love how they did it cause it serves a purpose of this man was so desperate he cut off his own hand to try to get away and so focused on that he couldn’t even see hey this is kinda dumb and not smart not gonna get far he was only thinking about getting away and getting back to michone. Even after 5 years.
So it served a big purpose. I love it now and it’s cool enough that he got a steel hand with a blade so will make Rick even more badass. See how in this episode when michone didn’t know and swung a Japanese katana and it served as defense and blocked it.

@@BigBroLilSis true, I deadass kinda felt bad for Okafor. Seemed like a nice guy and his concern for Rick appeared to be genuine. Sucks that he had to murder his wife and 4000 Marines to stop them from killing everybody, and that he died so gruesomely. I expected him to just get shot in the head or fall outta the chopper by accident. It might be him in the coffin we saw in that one extended shot of Beale with his army attending some kinda service of something cuz that coffin or whatever had the CRM flag on it, so maybe they were having like a funeral for him or something.
I get that he was a bad guy but Jesus Christ, he legit didn't deserve such a vicious demise

The way I see it Okafor is a good guy / in a bad organization - I think even without him saying anything he didn't like Beale...he knew change is in order. He could of get to Alexandria and take them out like he said...he is a smart guy because he knew if he pushed Rick into it he will come out as Triumphant - I wouldn't be suprised if Rick is like a mini boss there at this point in timeline.
That last scene got me confused did we timejumped again? aaahhhh and we got Michonne too...its time to F* sheet up like Mercer would say. Amazing reaction!
Most of the show was 5 years after Rick blew the bridge. Only part that was present time was the chopper crash
I feel like there’s more to be explored with Okafore. I have a funny feeling we’ll see him in Michonne’s episode. I am starting to believe he attacked her prior to her attacking them.

Wow strong episode well worth the wait loved it. Season 11 seemed a little empty but apart from the Darryl series this is the best episode since Season 10 but the end was brilliant 😊 looking forward to tonight's episode with the proper reunion

Hey Tomaj. I really hate that I was spoiled for how the episode was going to end because otherwise I would have had the same reaction you had in other fans had. It was so good to see Rick Grimes again. Andy did his thing in this episode for real. I take it the next episode is going to be about Michonne's journey to find her man just like this episode was mainly about Rick and his journey dealing with the CRM. I haven't really watched any previews for The Next episode I kind of wanted to be a surprise. I'm going to have to avoid Twitter AKA X for the time being cuz they're the ones that spoiled me.

Why didn't Rick try and cut the tether on atm instead of his arm? If he couldn't cut through then they should have showed that too. It would have definitely sold his desperation to escape
The CRM killed A’s for two reasons. 1. Major General Beale does not want anyone inspiring the military and the CR citizens to overthrow Beale and the power he has. 2. While B’s can be used and manipulated into working for the CR, they are not a threat to Beale because they do not inspire others to follow them instead of Beale. Also A’s are sacrificed for another equally important reason. They are the test subjects to study reanimation (which we see in world beyond) it’s called project Votus.

I was like you and I think I kinda misjudged Okafor on my first watch. Now that I've rewatched it and seen a couple reactions, I feel like Okafor wanted Rick to lead so he could reform or take down the CRM. Like he essentially wanted to build a team fight back, starting with Rick and Thorne. Which was why General Beale was questioning Rick about Okafor's plan. On rewatch I fuck with Okafor HEAVY lmao it helps that his actor and accent are kinda FINE
Okafor definitely had good intentions, however those intentions played opposite of what Rick and I want 😂. I will save my final judgement for Okafor after I see this next one because I have a feeling he tried to kill Michonne…

Soooo I just realized something. Esteban gave Rick the code for the gate at the end of that tunnel. Now, Rick’s plan didn’t work, but he can pass that info to Michonne and she can get in that way.
Also I question what Okafor said about A’s and B’s. It doesn’t fit with what we know about them from Jadis and WB.
I don’t believe Okafor told the entire truth and I feel like he already tried to kill Michonne!

Agree. And Jadis is smart enough to know that if Rick sees her, he’ll know there’s some nefarious shit going on. RN he just doesn’t want to be there. Jadis having a connection to CRM opens up a world of questions and suspicions.

Rick always got Michonne looking so gorgeous in his dreams Cleo! I have a strong feeling Okafor attacked Michonne already when he came back from that Michonne earlier in the ep covered in blood. When have we known Michonne to attack people without a good reason… she encountered them before and knew to take no prisoners. I’ll save my judgement for Okafor until I see if I am right or wrong. I have a good feeling Throne is gonna be an issue moving forward, she drank too much CRM tea. But I must day they delivered a masterpiece with this one 🔥🔥
