Tomaj, I am so with you. This is the best of TWD and you can’t tell me shit, either. 😂 Did you notice Rick finally called him RJ? In the last episode, he kept saying “our son” like he was still too broken and stunned to personalize the child even after Michonne told him his name. He said “RJ” this time. ❤ Rick is back! (I agree with you about the hypocrisy of Jadis having the freedom to go on these little “confession outings” to see Gabriel and unburden her soul but Rick was being held captive cut off from everyone he knew with no affection, emotional support, or friendship from anyone.)
I love that Episode 4 & 5 are it’s own romantic mini movie inside this series ❤

What a great send-off for a frustrating character with a shit haircut 😂!! The trash people drove me crazy in TWD but it was nice to see Jadis come full circle. Loved the flashbacks with Gabriel, did not see that one coming, but still holding out for some Morgan Jones!!! There's no way they paid for Terry O'Quinn to just have him featured in one episode so there HAS to be a season 2. There just HAS TO!!!! ❤
This was another amazing episode!! Well done in concluding Jadis's character arc and having Gabriel back, made Jadis story come to life. And then, the episode built up the story for the finale which is going to be epic!!! And we got RICHONNE proposal/ wedding!!!❤❤❤ TEAM RICHONNE...THE KING AND QUEEN OF THE APOCALYPSE!

Telling gabe about Rick would spark a rescue mission leading to the CRM finding out about Alexandria. The CRM would take out Alexandria so by not telling gabe she’s saving his life

WHAT A EPISODE!! I was shocked to see Father G too but like you said it makes sense with his connection to Jadis/Anne. And there absolutely has to be a season 2 unless they can make the finale like 2 hours long and tie things up.

Yeah…..there’s nothing in the Echelon briefing that justifies what eleven seen the CRM do - bombing allies, abduction and false imprisonment, gassing folks randomly. The CRM is beyond corrupt!
I’m obsessed with this show. Great reaction and analysis. Rick was always my favorite character, and I loved Richonne before there was an official Richonne. I can’t wait to own this series!! I haven’t watched the other doing-offs but this one has been excellent, esp for the Rick/Richonne fans!!

This was a cute episode, with great throwback moments, but it felt the closest to filler than any other episode this series. Still loved it and it pushed the story forward a bit, so what does it matter. Very old school TWD of them to give Jadis a backstory right before she dies tho lol. The finale is either going to be rushed or left open ended for more in the future in some capacity. Idk any other options.

I’m glad they finally took out Jadis, but overall my concern would be for Beale. Say, if he survives the finale, who’s to say what’s going to happen to the pair, since there has to be some consequences.

I think that was the beginning of the flashback because they showed him looking up at the helicopter. The latter is her walking up on him for the first time.
Ok, but what about the machete? TWD don't normally show ppl having the same weapon... and for Rick to find his in a walker...idk maybe it's a coincidence.
What differentiates this season is that Danai and Andrew's hands are all over it directly. I like seeing their names under the "Created By" credit. I know that Danai has pushed back at/called out AMC, so I hope that they don't hold it against her and do her dirty in the future like they have so many black actors/writers. I hope they continue to let her (and Andrew) cook. Because they, along with Gimple, have given us some high-quality television. Now they just need to stick the landing (though I suspect there could be more).
Danai said the AMC president complemented the decisions they gave push back on once they seen it all put together. With the numbers and money this series brung, they will be begging for Danai back!

I’m slightly annoyed that they didn’t have Rick or Michonne catch that, as Jadis, she took Gabriel’s last name. She kept a shard of humanity with her, even in her darkest form.
I thought about that but they probably wasn’t up in Gabe’s buisness enough to know his whole government. Michonne ain’t never even tell nobody her original last name. (We know it of course)

I really enjoyed this one, I’m kinda sad about Jadis as I enjoyed her character. Seeing gabe pop up was a complete shock. Only 1 episode left and I’m bummed out

He saved Judith he was changing and then eventually they see Maggie and Negan working together and then that’s when Rick is like ok hold up wtf did I miss lol

Negan was such a huge story ark and what Carl visioned what Rick did by not killing him and everyone was against it carls vision of a better world. Rick learning even a mention with Michone saying people can change I saw it negan saved Judith in a storm risked his life to save her. Not talking about a huge ordeal just a mention.
Out of the cast Andy & Danai are the biggest advocates for Negan being locked up so I don’t see them writing anything like that. Plus so many in story events have happened that Rick will come to learn about, I just don’t think that is particularly relevant unless like you said Michonne is trying to appeal to him to get him to spare someone but it’s not on my bucket list. Negan is not one of our group so I’ve always been against the idea of forcing him into our main storylines

I mean it’s kinda a pipe dream or hope for this season even with them only mentioning even Daryl once so far.
I personally thought the way they did negans ark and redemption ark was great we can disagree nothing wrong with that. It’s great to actually discuss a walking dead topic all my friends who did watch it were like millions of others that either stopped watching “when glen died” or when “carl died” they weren’t us that are still here still watching and it’s nice to actually discuss the topic.
I do think it’s safe to say that we can agree Rick and Michone is the goat couple or at least my favorite couple ever on tv film movie.
Lori weeks after Rick’s dead in the very beginning is sleeping with his best friend…Michone truly loves Rick and visa Versa. I just love the couple my favorite and waited for this show for so long it felt…I was a little let down on dead city …suprised Daryl show was better than I thought and thisssss did not disappoint.
We deserve our reunions the fans who have been here from the beginning. Want to see Rick meet rj and reunion with Judith all of it. We who never dipped out deserve that

I thought those portraits of Glenn and others were hanging in the home at Hill Top. Didn't they burn during the Whisperer War? I don't recall any significant scenes with Anne and Maggie so when did Anne paint the portraits?
The portraits were at Hiltop yes and they unfortunately did burn 😢. She painted then inbetween the time jump from season 8-9. Probably as a peace offering to Maggie if I had to guess
She also painted a portrait for Gabriel, of the organist at his church. They found her as a Walker in the basement of the flooded food pantry. Art represented her humanity.
Why didn't Jadis push the button for help 🤔. I mean I'm glad it ended how it ended but I'm confused as to why she wouldn't get someone to come get her to keep her from dying. I know she would have to lie about why she was even out there.
She didn’t want CRM to know about Alexandria or her connection. She hoped Rick would join the cause. She truly believed in it.
