As a hand engraver, watch many videos. Sharpening them is another learning process. You will find that in jewelry engraving , you will have to grind them very small. Under I microscope they look like cleavers. Way to big to do fine work. As a world renowned master engraver said," I am a part time engraver and a full time sharpener." Different metals not like gold and silver are rough grain and hardness for true bright cuts. Dont give up the learning. Your so far ahead of many in this .
New subscriber here. I really enjoy your videos. This whole jewelry thing is very new to me, and I'm trying to pick up what I can without spending a ton of money on classes and instruction. These videos are very helpful and I greatly appreciate it. I've worked with wood for around 28 years, but decided to expand my knowledge and work with metals and jewelry as a change of pace.
Trying my today, even though I bought it quite a while ago. I only got one square graver - dang! That's the problem with buying when a tool first comes out. It's untested en masse. I'll have to reach out to Chris...
What a cool tool. Love it. Can I ask whether you recommend the GRS benchmate stone setters package or one of the GRS ball vices for setting stones? Trying to decide which to get.
I belive it’s only made to fit on the Foredom hammer hand-piece attachment which would make it only work on the Foredom flex shaft 🙏🏻 anyone please correct me if I’m wrong on that 💕
Y’all will need the flex shaft speed regulator in order to get the speed right, as recommended by Chris at Lion Punch Forge. Listen to the speed of the “ tap tap tap sound “ of the motor. You want it to go slow.

I bought one when they first came out and had much difficulty using it. Plus, I was only sent one graver with my purchase😔

Is this tool “stand alone” or do you need the full micromotor machine?
It is a stand alone accessory to for the Foredom Pendant motor. 😊
It’s called the hammer handpiece engraving adapter.

Is the square graver you are demoing in the video? Thank you so much for this tutorial
