As usual, great video! Adriana, I made an attachment for my GRS (they can be purchased also- but they are pricey) QCX Benchmate. I used 1.5mm brass sheet and cut out two squares and soldered them together into a "T". One is the perfect size to slip into the ring clamps of the holder, the other is like a small table on top. I drilled holes in the "table" so I can put warm thermolock on it - press it into the holes in the table for good hold - and place any piece I want to work on in the thermolock. It's great for anything you'd use your ball vise for - and maybe better. I'll message you my measurements. It's a fantastic DIY workaround if you want to use the QCX Benchmate for everything! Oh, and I actually made a few of these and just keep the thermolock on each one. I heat a 4 cup glass measuring cup of water in the microwave and just drop my thermolock on the "T" attachment in the hot water and use. Sometimes I have all 4 of them loaded and ready to set. I pop each one into the clamp/jaws of the Benchmate and get into production mode. Hope that's a helpful tip. My very best upgrade tool? Ditching my pendant motor for a micromotor- (for my everyday, all day usual work at the bench) absolutely saved my hand and arm. That said, because I don't use the Foredom hammer hand-piece (I have the Swiss Badeco) I have a dedicated Foredom Tx pendant motor for it - it needs the "key" on the flex shaft. The Tx is recommended for the hammer hand-piece because it most importantly does NOT go in reverse, which will ruin a hammer hand-piece if used in reverse accidentally (SR pendant motor). 0:02 TMI!! 😂😂😂❤❤❤
Thank you Adriana❤ i am new jeweller and honestly your channel was one of the first i found and watching your work was very good exprience , so you kind of a roll model to me🌹🙏🏼🥰 This video really made me think why shoudn't I tell you this and appriciate you.
Thank you very much for sharing! Very helpful! Purchasing quality tools from the start makes such a difference. An example: I bought a $15 riveting hammer and thought it was fine until I bought the $45 dollar one. I realized that the inexpensive one was making marks on my pieces that needed to be removed and the handle was so uncomfortable. Even something simple like a quality hammer can make a difference.
NIce video, thank you! That little sander tool, so adorable. Didn't know it existed much better than the big ones tha can be intimidating. Do you care to share about your jewelry furniture as well, and where do you order it from? You have a nice setting
Nice video young lady 👍 👌 *A cheap workbench idea is go to a building supply store and buy a damaged length of kitchen counter top You can usually get a pretty good discount 😉
I love your content ! I started silversmithing this year and I love all your content ! I’m looking to be stone setting by December 🫶🏼 thanks for helping new jewelers 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
My absolute favorite upgrade is my gentec small torch!! I knew shortly after getting my first butane torch that it wasn’t going to work out between us 😅 The gentec torch was my first major investment and I’m soooo glad I chose it! Fantastic video, as always, and beautifully said 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you Vanessa!! 🥹 I’ve always wondered what torch you had! I don’t know my torches very well so anytime I see one that looks like what you use, my brain automatically thinks smooth little torch! Working with gas bottles and regulators kind freaks me out 🫣👀😂
I just got a Pepe Tools bench and the Foredom S motor (with the hanging rack) these last two months. My favorite splurge buy was probably my Formdom, my favorite upgrade was just getting a Pepe Tools hardened bench block, and my favorite-okay, I need to be smart about this-was taking out a small loan to buy the Pepe Tools Professional Jewelers Bench...And i just realized the belt sander is a VSD unit when using the foredom and that is nice. I have a larger one I use for Blade smithing that is single-speed, so I might have to splurge soon to get that.
So many exciting things, a bench AND a pendant motor! 🙈🎉 congrats 🎉 I’m happy to hear you say you’re happy with your Foredom! It really is great how versatile it is and how many future tools it plays well with. Very exciting stuff! ☺️
I was curious: What table polisher are you using to get that shine on your rings? Also, are you able to use it on both the stone and metal, or do you have two separate pads so the stone isn't scratched? I can't find a link.... this might make a great short video. :)
Ah you caught that huh! 🙈 lol I have a whole video coming on it soon about the differences between the two, but to give you some answer, I LOVE IT!! One of the biggest differences is that it’s night and day quieter than the pendant motor 💜 but each serves their purpose I feel, stay tuned! 🙏🏻☺️
I absolutely love watching your videos. But as a request, can you make another video of how you manage to organize your workspace? When I do my work, my stuff is just everywhere and time is wasted because of it. I’m so inspired by how you manage everything.
Thank you so much! 💜🥹I do have a recent video that is an updated studio tour and it shows a lot of my organization/where I keep things. I hope that can help you 💜
You may have just motivated me to set up my proper bench I bought one but haven’t set it up yet been using an old desk with a McDonald’s tray in my lap
Good informative video. I know I would have trouble talking like you can I'm not a very good talker lol. I have an idea of just starting off making handmade stuff. I live in Thailand and anything to do with buying things for the trade you have to go to Bangkok for everything lol. 4 hours away! P.S i DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE SO SMALL LOL😆
Thank you! If you edited my videos you’d see how much I start over just to not say “um” all the time. 💀😂🙈 I hope you can find a way to make it work! 🙏🏻 maybe one quick trip in a month to restock? And yup, I’m a short human lol 5’1 🤌🏼🙈
The TouchAmatic…it comes with 4 tips-but others are available separately. Are there tips you use/recommend we just get up front? I started with a cheap little dental wax carving set from Amazon…was good enough to make me want a nicer one. :-)
Ok. Lol. I was just wondering how much it would be if you made something with a fake diamond? If so I was thinking about getting me one I was wondering the price
I can see where that thought comes from, but they are items that I 1000% would have bought myself so that’s why they’re there. 💜 I also can’t withhold my genuine opinion on a tool from my fellow jewelers just because it was a gift, ya know? 🙏🏻💜 This is a side note but, it’s important to know that I have never asked to speak anything but my genuine opinion on anything I’ve been given.💜 Thank you for the support and for watching! 🙏🏻☺️💜

Diamond burs are pretty good for polishing off the spruce from casting, especially for difficult places. Or steal burs with sharp edges good, too.
You may have just motivated me to set up my proper bench I bought one but haven’t set it up yet been using an old desk with a McDonald’s tray in my lap
Whaaaaat, Dylan, how could you not!? 😂🙈 Set that baby up and let her liiiivveee! 🎉☺️ let me know your thoughts once you do if you have time! 🙏🏻☺️

The “Lion Punch Forge” as you’re calling it, is the hammer handpiece engraving ADAPTER made by Lion Punch Forge.
Thank you so much for clarifying that! 🙌🏼🎉
If you do have a resin 3D printer you can also get castable resin. They can be pricey, but it is another possibility
Make mold of that cute little spider!!
I love that idea 🙈😂 I haven’t touched him yet, I’m wondering if he’s strong enough to not be crushed under the weight of the investment 🙈

Have you made anything with a fake diamond
If a CZ counts as fake diamond, then YES! Lol 💜
Just need a saxophone hanging on the wall in your office and your set
Foredoom LX is better to set stones i might say
I might have to buy once cry once. No point buying all the extra bits to make the hammer handpiece work with a SR
