    My man! this is EXACTLY what i needed, local shop wants 800 bucks for parts and services. replacements are all under 200, so the hourish of work they wanna charge me 600 bucks? NOPE! I am learning a new skill today, and you were my absolute LEGEND of a teacher. Subbed and Liked. def the best instructional video I have ever seen. Kudos.

    Video was really helpful. Just an FYI, this water pump came out with the exact same color silicone on the gasket, so it definitely comes from the factory that way.

    I have to agree with everyone else who is saying that this video and your instructions and visuals are the best I have seen in a very very long time. if it wasn't for a lack of some tools and the jack for the engine, I know I could do this.     Tip, the bolts into the block for the motor mount do not have to come out individually, tilt the mount and pull out all at once

    I really appreciate this video! Swapped out my water pump and thermostat in my 2015 Buick Encore last night. Costs under $200 in materials (pump, thermostat, coolant) and took me about 2 hours. Thanks!

      Just change the thermostat take 5 minutes those pumps are made to last 200 grand

    The pump boult are tight to 71 inch pound (not ft pounds). One more thing you need to change boult #1 and #8 for new once.

      Yes. Broke one off and strip another! But good video. The screen shot of torque specs said lb inch. Please change. Love it.

    Where did you put the jack to support the engine? I would think I should avoid the oil pan but I want to be sure where the best, safest support location is. Thanks!

    Great video man, my 2014 encore is overheating thinking of replacing my thermostat. Truck sat for about 5 months without moving. So I'm guessing that's the problem.

    My 1.4 has 200 grand same pump 3 thermostat s takes 5 minutes instead of 1 hours an only cost 20 bucks instead of 490

    Dullah The spec sheet said to torque bolts to 71 lb in. however in the video you said ft lbs. that's 12 times more.

    I can't see where you attach the Jack to the bottom of the motor to lift it up. Do we just Jack it up on the oil pan?

      Yes but you have to put a piece of board on the jack then place it under there

      Flexible Hose Clamp Pliers they work great can get them off amazon for about 20.00 us dollars

      Shop rate is $100/hr+ most places, plus shop supplies, etc. $160 is about what I'd expect to pay honestly.
