Love the build just wondering what rear suspension you used and what rims+tires. If I could get links too that would be awesome. Once again love the build and keep up the good work.
Hey thanks! The rear wheel is in the description. It comes with a wheel and tire. However I had to flip the tire because of rotation. The rear suspension I will add some links. I prefer DNM or JFOYH. Decent shocks for the money
Suprised you didn't add a link for a sprocket. I like the idea of a bigger wheel, but id want yo know what sprocket would work, then id need to fore sure upgrade to a bigger wheel in the front! Maybe you have another video for a bigger front. Looking next! Great video btw! And i dont know yourwebsite existed! Nice fork kit!
Well to be honest kinda forgot about the sprocket haha. I had it made a Rebel Gears. Regarding the website it’s actually not mine. All those kits actually belong to a couple of close friends. I have often help design stuff when I can, but I can’t take credit.
Great video. Are you going to drop the foot pegs next? I'm building two MX650 for my son's and they both are taller. I was thinking about doing it for them.
@Nick's Garage Builds i agree . On my RSF650 I just mounted 1x1 onto the bottom of the stock pegs and made them 1" wider and the ride is way better. But the way I did it isn't very clean. I still need to box in the stock tubes to clean it up.
Great video! I am looking to also do this because it looks like a better choice than spending a fortune "for me" on paying someone else to do it. Do you know when the slotted brake brackets would be up for sale on the rod website and ball park of how much they would cost?
I’m hoping to have some available in the next 2 weeks. Not sure on cost yet but it should be cheap. Hoping to stay around the $30 mark. Ideally cheaper
I did actually just didn’t love the design so I never really posted it. Looking back I should have tilted it back to create a larger radius. I just had them water jetted for ease so they are all just basic steel and not painted
How are the tensioners holding up with offroad use? I'm building a swingarm and I'm since it's steel I'm worried about rust on the inside and seizing the tensioner block
That’s tough to say. I know most the cheaper ones on Amazon are genetically the same. Resembles more of the Chinese bikes though. Can’t say I’ve bought a wheel off eBay before, but chances are all the same.
I do not. I remember going down this rabbit hole and never being able to find any stock that fit inside of it. This is definitely all metric based stuff which is not very abundant in the states
Not yet. I personally put it on a couple bikes and want to test it for a bit. I also want to play with the CAD to optimize the shape and make it the most appealing as possible
people suck at making in depth videos on razors we appreciate you
I really appreciate comments like this! I love doing in depth stuff despite they are not the most popular videos.
8:32 when that lap top started to move I was like "nooooo wayyyyy" nice work.. step by step video, keep up the great work 100%
Thank you!! I try and I hope this helps

Now I’m getting a welder! Just when I thought I was done spending 🤣🤣
It never ends lol. My welds are less than pretty, but I find it difficult to get flux core to look nice. But with that I’ve never had a break either!
What are the odds I could buy a copy of that brake bracket from you that you developed
Very good actually. I just had 10 of them made. Just need to get them up on the ROD website.
Sweet I’ll definitely take one
What’s the link to the website?
excellent craftsmanship!
Thanks!
great video helped alot
Great video. Are you going to drop the foot pegs next? I'm building two MX650 for my son's and they both are taller. I was thinking about doing it for them.
That was something I was thinking about doing next. I think even 1” would make it much more comfortable

Definitely interested!
@@maukaman im interested as well lmk when they are up for sale!!
Got the brackets cut. Surprisingly not terrible on cost. Will be uploading them to the site soon.
Any leads on used swing arms? Can’t seem to find any..
I still can’t find any :/
Nicely done!!
Thanks buddy!
Did you ever get around to making the rear brake brackets? Need one bad.
I did actually just didn’t love the design so I never really posted it. Looking back I should have tilted it back to create a larger radius. I just had them water jetted for ease so they are all just basic steel and not painted
Awesome bike. What plastics and seat did you use?
Plastics are a CRF50 and the seat is CRF50 tall seat
Did you ever add that brake bracket to your website? I did this exact setup.
Sadly no and simply based on timing and craziness at work. Feel free to email me. I will send you one since you’ve been waiting.
What’s your email?
Nicksgaragebuilds@gmail.com
Why do you like the 12" 14" set up better than 14" 17" rear front?
For the frame of the bike a 17/14 doesn’t feel right. I have that setup as well and it works great, just looks kinda funny in my opinion
How are the tensioners holding up with offroad use? I'm building a swingarm and I'm since it's steel I'm worried about rust on the inside and seizing the tensioner block
Haven’t had any issues. I put grease where the blocks slide though
Hey Nick, is the hole spacing on these pit bike wheels pretty standard? I bought one off eBay and I need to find a rear sprocket.
That’s tough to say. I know most the cheaper ones on Amazon are genetically the same. Resembles more of the Chinese bikes though. Can’t say I’ve bought a wheel off eBay before, but chances are all the same.
@@ReuterLithium I actually found the same brand you linked so figured it was OK.
@@ReuterLithium What size rear sprocket is on this bike?
How much of a stretch did you end up with? More than 4-5 inches?
It was all of 5 maybe slightly more
Those handlebars lol
Do you know the size of the swing arm you used to slide in?
I do not. I remember going down this rabbit hole and never being able to find any stock that fit inside of it. This is definitely all metric based stuff which is not very abundant in the states
I believe the outside diameter of the donor swing arm is 40mm x 20mm. Stock razor looks to be 45mm x 25mm
Is there a file available for the brake mount to have it laser cut?
Not yet. I personally put it on a couple bikes and want to test it for a bit. I also want to play with the CAD to optimize the shape and make it the most appealing as possible
🏴👀👌
How long did you extend it?
5 1/2” to 6”. Can’t remember the exact length. Enough to fit a 14” wheel and a decent amount of room to spare
Ive never met you. But i feel like you know me. .
Well than you must also enjoy spending way too much time making a cheap kids toy rideable lol
Sell me a swing arm setup.
I wish I had that kind of time
Bro.
Dude. You can have this
