Hey Brother, love your content. did you ever make part 2 of this video. I bought the 14" rear wheel u recommended in another vid but im not sure where to get adapters to fit the 14" on the rear of my MX650. thanks again Voltron
Welds aint bad man. I can see welding that other parts from the original swing arm being contaminated and difficult to weld. But your not as bad as you think. Good job
That looks good! That’s how I started out. That’s how you get it right. I’m trying to make a pit bike out of a xr70r I bought the 110cc engine. I’ve been trying to find an ext swing arm for it. I got the swing arm but I’m not sure if it’s going to fit. I lost both of my legs so now I’m trying to figure out how I can shift and use the rear brake. I’m going to try switching to a rear disc brake and a hand brake on the right side of the handle bars. I am working out so I can even ride the thing. I’m going to subscribe to your channel too. Don’t let me down!! 😮 😂😂😂😂
That’s a great question. To my knowledge there are no direct bolt on alternatives. Everything you see on razor bikes that are not stock are most likely modified to fit. 😩
Man, that is a great question! And I have no idea😂 just gunna get a couple sprockets, do a little research and go from there. Basically wing it and hope for the best! Lol
Im thinking about making a fat tire, razor and switching out the forks from a pitbike minibike, you think id run into any issues w a fork and swingarm swap?
Not really…. I’d have to be careful not to go to wide for your rims and forks. The rear you might run into a chain clearance issue if you went to wide on the rear.
It didn’t at first because the wheels come with bearings that accommodate a 15mm axel. I bought bearings that will allow the 12mm razor axel to work. 🤙
This was a 5” stretch. Fitting the wheels isn’t hard. Had to get bearings that fit the axel. And I made spacers to keep the wheels where they need to be in relation to the chain drive and brakes.

Crushed it man! Proof that you dont need fancy tools to build awesome things, just a grinder amd some dedication! Stoked to see it all finished 🤘
Exactly!! Thank you for watching 👊
You are exactly right and the one. Who talk smack either can't do it or forget that they once was a beginner

I didn’t get around to a 2nd video. 😭 I had to make my own wheel spacers out of 12mm I.D. Round stick I got off of amazon 🤙

Aayyeeee ayyye practice makes perfect 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽 we all learn from each other
Amen brother! 👍
What are some direct bolt on wheel alternatives for the mx 650/500 front and back tryna avoid the regular razor wheels?
That’s a great question. To my knowledge there are no direct bolt on alternatives. Everything you see on razor bikes that are not stock are most likely modified to fit. 😩
Voltron the build coming along nice swing arm turning out nice. What gear are you going with for the 14 inch wheel.

@@VoltronWatts Nice I did the same thing I have 4 diff ent sizes to try .
What kind of steel did you use? Carbon? Alloy?

Can it wheelie with the swingarm streach?
Oh yea!
How many inches in total is the swing arm
Right at 4”

@@VoltronWatts makes sense, I appreciate it!
Of course!
off topic, when ordering your conroller directly from kelly website how long did it take
It took me about 7-10 days to get it. They ship via fed ex. It sometimes gets caught up in customs for a couple days.
@@VoltronWatts thanks! great vid once again!
@@VoltronWatts does it come with a cable to tune it with a computer when you order from kellys website ?
Does the bigger wheel fit on the stock axle?
It didn’t at first because the wheels come with bearings that accommodate a 15mm axel. I bought bearings that will allow the 12mm razor axel to work. 🤙
Do you happen to know how much the swing arm weighs?
I don’t, it I’ll weigh it and report back. 👊
Depending on thickness of metal a decent 4" "stretch" arm w 14g steel should be around 12lbs.
How much did you extended it? How much is needed to fit those wheels?
This was a 5” stretch. Fitting the wheels isn’t hard. Had to get bearings that fit the axel. And I made spacers to keep the wheels where they need to be in relation to the chain drive and brakes.
@Voltron Watts do you think a 4 inch stretch would accommodate the wheels. Plus not interfere with the motor??
Can I still do jumps even with the swingarm on ??
Jumps are better!🤣🤙
I didnt catch it, did you go any wider?
Nope. Kept the width the same for this one.
