DI box isn’t necessary! Unless you have a DI that has post EQ to tweak your tones even more going in. If your interface has a quarter inch input with the XLR it should say Hi-Z Or a Scarlett for instance you plug it in then turn the switch to “Line”
I have a 16 inch floor tom conversion that I want to sound deeper but I don't want to have to mix it I just wanted to be live sound. How do I make that happen
@@namesake7139 I’m honestly not sure what you mean still. The Guitar amp with the speaker cone is turned into a microphone and you place that in front of your kick drum to capture the sub frequencies. Like I said taking the resonant head off your floor Tom and micing from the bottom will give you a deeper sub frequency sounding Tom recording.
Hi, is a DI box neccessary, or can the tr cable just be plugged into the line input of an audio interface?

Oh sorry I was thinking of a different video. Yes you need to have a DI Box to make it a balanced signal *****

Thanks for commenting. Can you re-word your question? having a hard time understanding what you mean.
Take the reso head off the floor tom usually makes the drum have sustaining sub Freqs.
Oh sorry for the confusion but I was basically asking how to hook up my floor time conversion to a subwoofer.

@@thirdislandproductions9708 so this will work even if the speaker cone does not work anymore
