I want years of televised congressional investigations and then public trials. If Benghazi warranted 8 Congressional investigations over 4 years, everything over the last 4 years deserves at least 8 multi-year investigations (and resulting charges).

Because many of the, I can't believe I'm calling them, "minor" scandals would normally have direct political repercussions that would require investigations and some were impeachable like the emollients or tampering with official data with a sharpie. But most of them hit the news for a few days to a week and forgotten. If any one of these events happened to any other president, particularly Obama, we wouldn't hear the end of it and he'd probably be impeached for those too. Others like Bush or Clinton could possibly deflect a couple without too much trouble, but the sheer numbers are dizzying by comparison and there is no guarantee that other presidents, past or future, could get away with anywhere near things Trump got away with.

I don't know what you mean with issues in the UK - they basically have two parties, too, and some fringe-groups. I know in the Netherlands, they have hundreds of small parties and they have real trouble forming a government, but they definitely know how to argue and find compromises that way. So there are benefits to it and disadvantages. As a nation, if that was really something you'd want to tackle, you have the advantage of looking at other countries and see what works and what doesn't, while many have long-established systems that grew over time.

In Germany, we have laws that say that any legitimate party that reaches a certain amount of votes will get funds from the state for their election campaigns and all the staff and paperwork and stuff. That way, you can have parties that are not connected to big money-givers which still speak for their voters without getting out-voted in the big elections. I always though that it's a great way to minimize bribes and "donations" from huge companies. Sadly, it's not illegal to get donations as long as it's visible for everyone from where they come. So yeah , it's not perfect - we still have the "party for the richer" and the "parties for working-class", but at least we have options within those categories. Best plan would be to use the 2020 census for the covid vacine cue. It is the latest govenment database with job, age, and address. Easy to sort medical, police, firefighters, teachers, people over 75 etc. Add a row for contacted, first or second shot, refused, not found, or unknown and you can reach a high percentage of the population and verify that you did. Other other methods all seem to go sideways with large gaps and no verification.

That joke doesn’t make any sense though.
Because many of the, I can't believe I'm calling them, "minor" scandals would normally have direct political repercussions that would require investigations and some were impeachable like the emollients or tampering with official data with a sharpie. But most of them hit the news for a few days to a week and forgotten. If any one of these events happened to any other president, particularly Obama, we wouldn't hear the end of it and he'd probably be impeached for those too. Others like Bush or Clinton could possibly deflect a couple without too much trouble, but the sheer numbers are dizzying by comparison and there is no guarantee that other presidents, past or future, could get away with anywhere near things Trump got away with.

But hearing it on the car radio(my babysitter was retired military) and on the evening news constantly. It really shows how literally untouchable he thinks he is, with all of the technology advancements, reporters and news channels 24/7, everything being recorded on WH phones, and still carried on the way he did. I want this impeachment to go all the way, so he can never hold office again. I want every state with just cause to prosecute to the fullest extent that orange asshat, his ridiculous children, their spouses, and all of the underlings that were doing his bidding. I want to see them all in prison. And broke. I want to see them all absolutely penniless.

@@frizzlethecat2084 I agree that two party FPTP politics is ridiculous and hinders progress, but having more parties has massive issues too, like we've seen in France and the UK recently.
@@BonJoviBeatlesLedZep We have a more-party-system in Germany, and while it's definitely got its flaws, it's working well so far. I don't know what you mean with issues in the UK - they basically have two parties, too, and some fringe-groups. I know in the Netherlands, they have hundreds of small parties and they have real trouble forming a government, but they definitely know how to argue and find compromises that way. So there are benefits to it and disadvantages. As a nation, if that was really something you'd want to tackle, you have the advantage of looking at other countries and see what works and what doesn't, while many have long-established systems that grew over time.
@@frizzlethecat2084 there is a 3rd party. Technically George Washington was a 3rd party candidate but they overlook that since it was the start of Democracy as far as I'm aware off hand. However roughly 5% votes for them on average. I'm guessing because they are not sucking u ppl to the 1% for finances which allows those whatever perks which are sometimes negotiated behind closed doors n yada yadda...
@@BigSteve_Gaming187 Yeah, I know that there are more than two parties in the US, but they never really get started. In Germany, we have laws that say that any legitimate party that reaches a certain amount of votes will get funds from the state for their election campaigns and all the staff and paperwork and stuff. That way, you can have parties that are not connected to big money-givers which still speak for their voters without getting out-voted in the big elections. I always though that it's a great way to minimize bribes and "donations" from huge companies. Sadly, it's not illegal to get donations as long as it's visible for everyone from where they come. We have one party that wants to ban donations to parties completely, and I have to say that I like the idea A LOT. So yeah , it's not perfect - we still have the "party for the richer" and the "parties for working-class", but at least we have options within those categories. Oh, we also have a "party for right-wingers who are probably racist but maybe only a little", but ... yeah.

Best plan would be to use the 2020 census for the covid vacine cue. It is the latest govenment database with job, age, and address. Easy to sort medical, police, firefighters, teachers, people over 75 etc. Add a row for contacted, first or second shot, refused, not found, or unknown and you can reach a high percentage of the population and verify that you did. Other other methods all seem to go sideways with large gaps and no verification.

3:40 Trump waving around that hurricane tracking map he altered with a black marker pen was the incident which finally convinced me that Trump is an actual moron. Him doing that came closest to actually making my jaw drop. That a 74-year-old US PRESIDENT would try that was and is truly beyond belief.
I found it interesting how I " hardened my heart" so to speak... over the past four years. I used to be more empathetic prior to tramp! My constant anxiety and outrage took a toll.. I now want to recommit myself to service and just being kinder and gentler person.
