Watch again with subtitles and you will see the translation as intended. If you want another banger from them look at Gadaar. All their lyrics are meaningful and they do a lot for their community,

    Hey guys.
Dana Dan is essentially a song about taking a stand against grapists and those who commit SA. Basically, the song lyrics are about having to do things that normal people shouldn't have to do, but have to do because government fails to punish those who commit those kinds of heinous crimes.
From the very first line, "I put my fist through the face of a [grapist]/here's a fist for the nameless faces he disgraces" -- that's the most metal way of saying, "If you've been a victim of these kinds of crimes, we see you."
That being said, the lady in blue is reminiscent of the goddess Kali. The protector of innocents, justice, and transformation and change, Kali is, in Indian mythos, who carries the heads of the guilty on her belt. Armed with a sword, she pursues and takes down those that would harm the innocent.
It is against this backdrop that Jayant, the screamer/growler, seemingly fills his voice with anger and rage. One only wonders if he knows someone who was the victim of grape or SA, as he is seemingly screaming to the heavens for Kali's blessing to bring the perpetrator to justice. And when the female vocals come in, it feels like Kali herself has heard Jayant's pleas for justice.
In such a way, this song not only is a call to action, but also is a way to have anyone who has ever been a victim know that there are men out there who want heinous offenses like this stopped in such a way as the guilty get punished, and at the same time, recognizing that this is a problem in modern society that needs everyone to solve.

Watched without subtitles... Generally they themselves put it out on screen.
Do check them out... They are good samaritans too who walk their talk and not only sing.
Recommended: JEE VEERAY (on fighting depression), YAAD (in memory of loved ones), ENDURANT (bullying) and so on.

(also worth of note is Skinflint from Botswana but they don't ussualy have much folk elements)
Al-Namrood- Saudi Arabia (They played metal when it was punishable by death... IT DON'T GET MORE HARDCORE THAN THAT!)
Hassak- Kazakhstan (it's an ethno band but listen to their song Amanat and tell me it don't belong on a metal concert)

Thank you! You gave me a long list of bands to explore! I have listened to folk-metal since I discovered metal almost 30 years ago, but based as I am in metal-heaven Scandinavia it took me lots of years before I started to look outside the rich ensemble of folk-metal based in northern european folk-music. But it's so much more, so thank you!

And if you want a sort of Pagan/Folk non metal band but some how one of the most Metal things things you will ever see look up Heilung they are from many countries and they don't do gig's they do Rituals, Heilung means Healing in German.

Bloodywood are absolutely amazing! In some countries victims of ( I am going to use the actual phrase because they used it in text during the warning) sexual assault are victimized twice. Most often this comes from religious beliefs that have formed a countries culture. In these cultures a female sexual abuse victim can be shamed, disowned by their family and worse for even reporting such a crime. This creates a situation where there are no penalties to deter anyone from committing such crimes if they want to. Clearly Bloodywood has a BIG problem with that. Technically the theme of the song would be vigilantism however..they are discussing taking things into their own hands because the authorities won't keep such things from happening to innocent people. While it may seem a little overboard in other countries...it can feel like it's what is necessary under certain cultures. The real magic is the bridge (which is musically amazing!) and they say that they want to use their mind to change the mind of would-be attackers. Use words to make them understand how wrong their actions are. But until they can get their point across to get them to stop....then they have to use their fists. And the "Fuck every man for himself It's every man for every man and everybody else" lines state that they have to act together to protect each other. I also like the line about Anarchy in the Patriarchy... pointing again to religion and the culture and cultural leaders. They are saying that them performing this song and pointing out wrongs that apparently are acceptable for many...should and will cause problems for those that benefit from this belief system. I love them because they write bangers but for those of us that also look for meaning in songs...there is so much. And yet going to lengths to make their points doesn't hinder the song being a banger. Sorry this was so long...just wanted to try to give some background on this song.

Ah nice, yesterday i watched the video and was shocked that it has so much less views than i expected.
Edit: i too suggest to watch the video with subtitles, they are really helpful and the message can get lost when its translated differently.

For sure, we’ve had complaints in the past about having the captions on but I think it’s more important to really understand what’s being said. And sometimes videos are slow and don’t reach the right people but that’s ok 👍 cheers

Yes indeed that´s neat Beatdown!, as that´s what Dana Dan means yep lol ...and just a bit wondering these reacting channel in U2B having folks who have been already watchin´ else than American England etc. being based bands´s videos yep, but still don´t understand to but them CC-captions already on when they start watching yet another musick video from...as you are missing so much of the context, specially when (a too rare) case when band has something Really good important clever to say and give out in their Lyrics too in there. ;-) :-)
Well this DD is actually the only one of Bloodywood´s many Grrreat musick vids to be seen in U2B which doesn´t has subtitles/lyrics automatically running there at the bottom of the screen ...most likely because they have quite a strong message and few a bit controversial lines too, so understandable, and so of course you Should (all) definitely watch it Again switched them ON and doing a big favor to yourself on that too oh wow. :-)
