Starting at the CURRITUCK county line ,the beach is known as the CURRITUCK Banks also known as the Northern Banks. Carova is the last three miles of the beach next to the Virginia line……..not the whole beach.
I appreciate the video…I’ve driven down there in a Ram 1500 five or so years ago, but I’m looking forward to doing it again in the 2500 this spring/summer. One other tip: clean your undercarriage once you’re finished! Beach salt makes for quick rust, maybe even with your undercoating!
Be safe and have fun
This was very helpful. I have been wanting to go there for a couple years. I feel prepared, thanks!
This is a very useful video to those who are nervous, but I still have to point out you pronounced the town wrong. Its more like ka-rawl-uh
Thanks for the tips! I’ll be visiting this summer and I am really looking forward to it

Don’t Be A Clown Air Down. Please Air down to 18lbs when you go out because I have seen tons of people getting stuck that didn’t air down
CORE-a-la? Never heard anyone pronounce it that way. Ker-AH-la.
Guess he isn't from here or stopped to listen to the radio advertisements. LOL.
How many miles can you drive on the beach . 10 , 20 ,50 miles ? Is there any campsites close to the beach ? ⛱️
11 miles of beach. No campsites. You can’t camp on the beach at all. There’s houses all through that stretch.
Oregon Inlet Campground is right next to ORV Ramp 4, Cape Hatteras National Seashore.
Will FWD handle the OBX sand well? I have an Acura RDX that isn't AWD!
I don’t think so. RWD is pretty bad on sand. Sorry about that.
Ya I would not try it
@@NickMango the RDX that @GeneralDodo is talking about is an FWD crossover. Not RWD. RDX is basically a Honda CR-V.
would a 3500 dually 4x4 drive fine on the beach?
Close to the water shouldn’t have an issue. Garbage trucks drive on that thing.
its like driving in snow in pa or ny lol
It’s totally different from driving on snow
OK video. You should educate yourself on the proper pronunciations of towns you visit. It's KA-RAH-LA and KA-RO-VA. And spelled Carova.
Not coral:( ca-rah-la.
No, it’s pronounced kerala
