Why do I crochet 4 rows at the beginning in hdc and then switch back and forth the rest? Why not switch back and forth right away? If this is the case, do I make 4 hdc rows at the end also?
It's just how I designed it. When making your blanket, you can vary it how you like. Yes, to make your blanket symmetrical, end on the four rows of HDC. 😊

If I want to make it bigger, like 50 x 70 show I make sure my number of chains in the beginning chain ends in a 4?
This pattern can be adapted easily to create any size blanket. You just have to be sure to start with an even number of chains.

So just to be sure you start with a hdc foundation row Plus 3 more rows? For a total of 4 hdc rows before the filet stitch? Ty!
