Hi Daniel, i have an explanation/solution for your speed wobbling issues with double Kingpin trucks. It happens to you because of the way you put the front foot in the board, it's not centered but right-sided, not covering all the board surface and forcing you to put your weight on your fingers to maintain it straight. so, having it placed at the right makes you turn right way easier BUT, when turning left your front foot can't help because it's not covering the left side of the board, that makes you turn mostly with your back foot. When you use the back to turn that's exactly what gives you unstability, and you can notice it with double kingpin trucks because they turn way more than reverse kingpins needing to control it better. If you place the front foot using all the wideness of the deck and placing your fingers at the left end and your toe at the right end, you will at first feel strange because the way you are used to ride, but soon you will notice you can handle the board much better and make turns more naturally. So... after 2 months of watching you and ronnie , and ur china trip might i add was amazing, i decided to get the ranger 2x. And that code helped keep the pockets from breaking. Thank u for all ur great detailed info..
Great video review, pretty much exactly how feel I about my X2 except I might be a bigger fan of the double-kingpin trucks because I really like them a LOT. There is a slight learning curve to getting comfortable with them but I really like Backfire's implementation, and I appreciated this reviews detailed look. Something I love about the X2 is the sheer *comfort* level of the ride experience overall, and also how incredibly confident I feel while riding it even at high speeds and going on and off road at will!
With regards to the DKP trucks, on my X1 it took me about 3 different bushing configs until it carved right, so I definitely recommend changing the stock bushings. The problem with the stock setup is much like Dan described - too twitchy and not confidence inspiring at speed or during deep carves. Now I have them dialed-in I can do high speed carves which hold their line and it feels absolutely amazing, so I HIGHLY recommend playing with your bushings and don't be afraid to try different configs.
That makes no sense. You don’t need dkp for high speed carves. You could be running rkp as tight as you can get them and at high speed you will still be able to carve easily as hard as you want. At speed you don’t need gimmicks to turn, the slightest movement and you’re turning a lot. Now at slow speeds (10 mph or so) this is where dkp comes into play and gives you much more ability than rkp, NOT AT SPEED. At speed it makes zero difference, dkp will only give you an easier time wiping out lol. And if you’re manipulating your dkp bushings to where they’re “stable at speed” then you essentially are losing some of what makes them great at slow speeds, which again makes no sense.
@@gonzoschmalanzo3066 that's a lot of words to say you didn't understand what I wrote. I never said you NEED dkp for high speed carves, I said its possible to achieve this with the right config (of course keeping low speed carvability, otherwise whats the point of dkp).
I had a street bamboo evolve gt and I sold that for a new backfire ranger x2 and the first time I rode it I fell in love. it was the first all terrain board I'd ever ridden and it's seriously so much smoother than street wheels. all my friends who ride street boards said it was like riding on a cloud
So my Ranger X2 arrived. I tried it for the first time today and wow man it’s incredible for city riding on wet roads. It gave me a high level of confidence, wasn’t worried about bumps on the road and it is incredibly smooth. The best part is how quiet it is. Damn man I’m used to some loud boards with Boosted, this thing is silent.
8:12 someone has probably pointed this out already, but using a different remote will let you just set "turbo" as a speed mode. I feel certain that Backfire does not recommend this as a means of conserving battery and motor life... but... you know.
matt green for me that’s super fast enough. I guess if you want faster another board would be better. I like that it’s so quiet too. There’s so many cool boards out there that I’d love to have but cost a ton
DK's review only briefly talked about some of my biggest issues with the board: 1. The remote switches too easily between forward and reverse, which causes people to get thrown off if they're not careful (or haven't taped the switch in place). DK experienced that in the video. 2. The turbo mode shuts off without any warning, such as a countdown or a vibration to notify the rider that turbo mode will shut off in three seconds. Between this issue and the fact that you can't engage Turbo without letting off the throttle makes turbo more trouble than it's worth. 3. The remote sends low battery notifications (via vibration) kinda of early and a bit too often. Somewhat annoying, but I wonder if this is by design to encourage riders not to ride till empty and thus preserve battery life. 4. Rolling resistance is very high which makes it difficult to push manually. Personally, I find this a bit annoying because I like to do a little push start to conserve battery life and get my center of balance established as I start to move. On my other esk8 with a hub motor and PU wheels I have to apply the brakes on one of the hills along my commute, but the X2 goes down the same hill so slowly that I'll actually apply some gas instead. 5. The board's max speed is kinda slow. Personally think that it'd be better off with a slightly higher top speed as a third speed mode using the S/E button. 6. The ESC gets pretty hot. This is probably to be expected since it's an AT board and it's cooling options are limited. However, it does make me wonder about the board's durability. I guess time will tell. 7. Overall water resistance is questionable. Other riders on Reddit have noted that their remotes stopped working for a few days after it got wet, so it makes me wonder if Backfire skimped on waterproofing the remote's internal components. 8. Riding through bad terrain reduces your speed drastically. While this is to be expected, I didn't think it'd reduce it down to about 40% of the board's max speed on asphalt. Given how the ESC throttles the board's speed at lower battery levels, I'd be hesitant to take this out for any extended ride on rough terrain. Just keep this in mind if you're considering the board for riding on mtb trails, which is probably a bag idea because the board lacks any real suspension. 9. There's very little information on how to optimize the board's double king pin trucks (DKP). Although Backfire advises not to adjust the trucks, that's not reasonable as riders of different weight and skills require different settings. I'll probably swap out the board side bushings for something a bit harder and maybe barrel shaped. One annoyance with the DKP is that a standard skate tool cannot adjust the boardside bolt, so you also need to carry a small wrench with you during your first rides as you dial in your ride. Other than those issues, DK's review is super thorough and addresses about every topic. All that being said, the board is absolutely fantastic. It handles all the rough roads along my commute well and it amazingly even handles train tracks that'd otherwise throw me off my other esk8. The ride is super buttery and a lot less taxing on your feet. The brakes perform very well and can take you from top speed to a stop in about half the distance that my other board requires, which makes it a safer ride for commuting through traffic where cars will try to cut you off.
I just got mine days ago. I found the ESC got pretty hot too. Even the battery case is hot too. And for the speed mode, I can only use S mode. On E mode the brake is too weak. BTW it's good board. One thing I dont like is the light, I cant mount the light to the base they offer. I cant pull it to the end and get locked.
@@puluzusa467 If you want to keep the ESC cooler, you can stick a bunch of small heat sink fins with thermal glue. I ride G2T on turbo all the time with older remote and did just that to help dissipate heat better. Can't say by how much, but they get pretty warm so I like it.
Been riding mines for two weeks already. Waaaay better and more affordable than Evolve GT. I Have an evolve Carbon GT. Love the hubs vs the belts system on the Backfire.
"This is fast and dangerous so you need to exit." This is what I hear from security guards all the time here in Shenzhen as well while they just let electric scooters blast through crowds all the time. Which one is more "dangerous and faster?" lol Great review as always. Thanks!
240 lb person and I got about 11 miles on it. I'm gonna have to do a 12mph cruise and an 18mph cruise test to see how well it actually goes. My g2t lasted 13.5 miles, completely dead, but that was also a full cruise speeds mostly.
Great video and I love my x2. Just finished my first repair after cracking the deck. I put it together with looser trucks so hope I can manage the wobble.
For a board that cheap, it looks really good. I have a Lacroix board which has a lot more power and range but over 2 and a half times the price. Good video.
Hi Daniel. After riding both boards (Wowgo AT 2 and the Backfire Ranger X2) which one would you recommend? What about the Ranger X3? Thanks. SurfNorth.
Haha same here, Ownboard looks badass, I love the looks and sound of the belt drive, with cloudwheels it should be great for city riding. I like the Ranger X2 remote and hub motors but I'm not a big fan of the bare looks. Have you decided which one to get?
You should cover the raldey carbon at v2. I have it and the brakes are super strong and I'm above 260lb. Not sure if you have v1 or v2 but for me it'll violently stop me if I floor the brakes
@@cscott4806 They changed the deck on the X1 and X2 now to be stiffer i think but that's about 30-40lbs more than me. I'd suggest you contact their support to figure out if the deck can support you. Though at 250 you're probably better off with a stiff deck.
Hey DK, just wanted to share that your discount code 'DKWAN' does not work on the BackfireUSA website. I want to support your channel and use the affiliate code, however I am unable to do so :(
Love your reviews, I've been riding a year now so I'm still a noob, but I think you missing the point of turbo. If got a G2T. The down side of hub motors is cooling. If you could ride in turbo all the time I'm pretty sure the right rider in the right spot could melt the motors. That's why the 30 second cool down period is needed too. So in turbo torque it's max, speed is not software limited. Take that board to max speed in sport mode with a fresh charge, then hit turbo. Maybe that will change your might about turbo. For me sport mode what I ride in and is more than I can do anyway so turbo it's Overkill. Love your reviews Keep it up
On the RX2 the top speed is still capped at 35 km/h in turbo. That’s fine for me. My main complaint is turbo’s implementation. For example the 30 seconds cool down thing - what if I only use turbo for 5 seconds? Still have to wait 30 seconds to use it again. And other annoyances. The way it’s implemented just makes it very inconvenient to use.
I really like your review of this board! I think it's sad that this security guard send you off, because this bike trails look really nice! Fortunately you didn't get a fine. I think we all should unite to make eskating more popular and to stand for our right to eskate. Every personal electric vehicle is better than a typical combustion engine car in many ways. (pollution, traffic, parking space, safety for pedestrians, ...)
it works, check channel called PRESS RESET. But I wouldnt recommend it, as the hubs arent designed to go in turbo forever, so there is a chance of overheating
Hard to hold remote with pucks on the glove.with my Blink S2. So remote must be better. I'm looking into it all terrain hybrid board. For mushing my Husky off road... Currently we stay on the bike trail boardwalk. And street... Working on my video editing of that...
Duuuude you should try the Miles Rampage that’s being released in a couple of weeks. I’m soo looking forward to getting it. Awesome review btw, keep it up.
Hi Daniel since you know so much about backfire boards i wanted to ask you, i got the g2s and brought the g2t motors for it. but i have slow acceleration and bad brakes, do i need to upgrade my esc also ? ore is it my battery that's bad ? my board is around a year old. btw wery good video about the ranger :)
So not get city rider, I got both of the board, the city rider is no where close to ranger x 2 experience, the brakes are inaccurate strong and sudden and its very heavy to carry around even just for a short time, they changed the Hobby wing esc to Ling yi esc, so far on other board is good but not on city rider
@@DanielKwan this was helpful thanks for your reply. I will definitely buy a board using your discount codes! For Bangkok city roads, do you have any recommendations for a board and the wheels?
I was thinking about a board like this. I only wonder how easy it would be to pull it around if I needed too or how difficult it may be to put in my car.
The board fits into the trunk and backseat of a Honda Accord. It's a bit bulky and the big wheels make it almost impossible to lean against a wall vertically, but that easily solved by either leaning it on its side horizontally or buying a cheap guitar stand. When walking into my office building I just mall carry it and roll it behind me like a suitcase. Do note that it's got a lot of rolling resistance and you're better off calling Uber if the board dies on you because pushing manually would be pretty miserable.
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent Depends on how much you weigh and whether you have a lot of hills in your area. At 210 lbs I max out my speed at 20mph on flat asphalt.
Ik is a dumb question but where does the light go that comes with it? The red T on the board seems to be the front but it seems the light should be on front
Any idea about where to get good bearings for X2? My original bearings front and back have given up already, and I do not want to use the same bearings again. Sizes are: 1614 and 6906
@@DanielKwan yes, sorry that's what I meant. Good to know. Maybe not enough for my liking, as saw a dude the other day blasting up an down some grassy hills the other day on a GTR, and they were grassy hills that I wouldn't even attempt on my x1, because I know it wouldn't have the power
Disappointment you didn't' threaten to throat punch me in the intro! anyways awesome review as always! :) might get one since we got horrible roads here
Ho Daniel, I bought the G2T way back when thanks to your advice. Now I need your advice again :D Between the Ranger X2 or Ownboard Bamboo GT (maybe get the Evolve 6" kit later too for it), what would you recommend? I loved my G2T but really need something for rough country roads and cobblestones somtimes. I'm veering towards the Ownboard as the cloudwheels seems a great mix beween street and AT wheels, then I've got the option to add EVolve pneumatics to it too. Anything I'm missing? Build quality on my G2T was amazing, but I've never seen an Ownboard so cant compare. Many thanks man for all your work!
Hey Daniel, I have the Ranger X1.. I feel like you might not have a better experience with the double king pin trucks if you stand a bit more back with your front foot.. The one thing I think isn't great is that I feel like my range is descreasing bit by bit everytime I ride.. I'm about 70kg and I get around 22-23 km in range.. was hoping for more
Dude I want to start my own Eskate channel. I already have a bunch of videos on the topic. Which camera did you use this time ?? Your content just keeps getting better and better !! I have made my own battery packs & a decks to..
Yo Thanks !! I am in the process of making my own Eskate company & already have made a Website ( not Live yet ) & Already talked with Wowgo & Meepo for parts...
Any cons in using third-party silicon to seal the housings for water resistance? I mean, aside from not being able to _hot swap_ the battery? I live in a rainy area.
You’d only see noticeable regen if riding the brakes continuously like when going down a hill, and even then the regen is very little. On level ground it’d be almost nothing. This applies to all eboards. Some regen better than others but still not much.
Are you sure that the boards speed is controlled by the ESC? I thought it was limited by the motors Max kv rating. I had purchased the previous motors separately for a custom build using a Vesc and a 12s⁴p battery. Turns out it still was limited to about 22mph, witch is not fast enough for me. So could you let us know if the new motors are ESC or Kv speed controlled. Thanks
Daniel :) Excellent review young man! I have an X1 (very happy with it) and have been thinking about getting the X2 or a ONEWHEEL? (have you ever had a onewheel?) Still on the fence. I do notice that the distance on my remote is often about 1 mile to 1 1/2 miles off from what my ride app says. Any ideas on why that would be?
Graeme Franks In my opinion the most significant upgrade on the X2 is the brakes. If you’re fine with the brakes on the X1, I think I would just keep it! Never tried a onewheel but would like to. As for the range, maybe your remote is not set to 165mm wheels? Not sure.
@@DanielKwan Thanks for the info (great advice). I also contacted backfire and they lead me through resetting my board and remote, so maybe that will solve the issue.
TheKrokomaster it’s easy to do, just hold down the board power button for 5 seconds (until it flashes continuously) then turn on the remote. Once it pairs, it’s reset. Then pick you wheel size.

Ohhh my good...here we go again...Price matters ..You can buy 3,5 times a backfire x2 for the price of a LaCroix...which is not 3,5 times better ...just overpriced...my car is cheaper than this board..Boosted have done the same for many years..but now with competition from wowgo 3x seems the sale has topped ...
Hey daniel! I received my x2 last saturday and put 200kms on it already. Really love every aspect even the doublekingpin . I used your code and wanted to know how i can get grip on the dkwan stickers. Would love to put some on my deck...
Sion Hannuna They were fine but our remotes needed to dry out. To be safe we opened the board enclosures and let everything dry for a day before riding again.
I hope to see 1 day a 4x4, very powerful for slopes, IP68, all full powerful LED lights, handlebar with all buttons, less than 15kg and range on battery removable more than 45km, app so I can block the speed to max 20km/h (my very secured standard country). That will be in the standard of my country with snow etc so I can use it. Thanks if you know something like this.
Really nice and detailed review this time, absolutely nice job as usual Mr. Kwan :) I really wonder how videos from you would be like if you would have the chance to try one of those expensive boards like Lacroix, Kaly NYC, Metro X or even an Evolve. Nice dude, really nice. BTW..... I NEED your shows, what's the brand ^^ damn they're sweet
Daniel Kwan doesn't sound bad you I actually like that idea, you should test it with the caliber they need to hear you and see other options, that is the point of you making a review of it and doing long trips.
Your video is very informative. You ride in Thailand? How did the police response whne they see you ride on the road? I am haveing no e-skateboard yet but plan to order the onewheel XR and would love to know how the police react to e-board rider in the road. Cheer for the nice video Daniel.
Is that another advantage of hub motors, that security guys might not notice you? And I like your performance tip, if you want more torque, lose some weight.
Yes actually. There is a park where skateboards are allowed, and security there never bother me on hub motors but tell me I can’t use the board when I’m on belt drive.
How do dogs react to the belt drive sound? The path where I ride is always filled with people walking their dogs. They don't mind my longboard, but I think the sound of a belt drive electric skateboard would irritate them.
I had tightened the trucks because at a higher speed it does wobble because of the sensitive nature of the turning ratio.I don't feel comfortable going fast on this board unless the trucks are tightened. It does make it harder to do sharper turns but I'm a noob, this is my very first board and I bought it because of your review.I am getting better at higher speeds and carving but carving at a higher speed or even standing straight at higher speeds is tougher with the truck set by the factory. The board does wobble but that also might be my lack of experience.I am used to the way a snowboard reacts and this is way different and slamming on pavement at a high speed will hurt like hell vs sliding on snow.
To prevent speed wobbles make sure your putting more of your weight on the front of the board. That being said, be sure to shift your weight back a bit before braking so you don't fly off. Highly recommend wearing a helmet and if you're risk averse consider getting a motorcycle hoodie that has built-in pads for your elbows, shoulders, and spine, but looks like a normal hoodie.
@@jleebadger I do lean forward when stopping and I am shifting my front foot more forward for stability.I am also wearing a full face helmet and I bought motorcycle knee and elbow pads. The pads are pretty good but not the best on the market.I also ordered wrist guards.Thank you for the tips.Spin guard would help.I have these padded shorts that I wear snowboarding but they don't have a spin protector

Nice, I received mine as well over here in Canada. Super quiet and smooth.
i want one now
How did you find the speed ? I’m stuck between this and the g3 but worried it won’t be quick enough!
Hey rahul, 5 months later how are you liking the ranger x2. Does it still hold up? I just placed my order
8:12 someone has probably pointed this out already, but using a different remote will let you just set "turbo" as a speed mode. I feel certain that Backfire does not recommend this as a means of conserving battery and motor life... but... you know.
Aldous Yelxuh Probably fine for me since I don’t stay in full throttle most of the time.
I bought one and it’s pretty much everything I have hoped for and more
Tony Aiello how do you find the speed ?
matt green from km/h or mp/h?
Mph I have seen people just getting 20mph
matt green for me that’s super fast enough. I guess if you want faster another board would be better. I like that it’s so quiet too. There’s so many cool boards out there that I’d love to have but cost a ton
DK's review only briefly talked about some of my biggest issues with the board:
@@puluzusa467 the light may not click into place or anything, but it doesn't really go anywhere if it's slid all the way on.
@@puluzusa467 If you want to keep the ESC cooler, you can stick a bunch of small heat sink fins with thermal glue. I ride G2T on turbo all the time with older remote and did just that to help dissipate heat better. Can't say by how much, but they get pretty warm so I like it.
My ranger x2 is on the way 😍
how do you like it?
Been riding mines for two weeks already. Waaaay better and more affordable than Evolve GT. I Have an evolve Carbon GT. Love the hubs vs the belts system on the Backfire.
"This is fast and dangerous so you need to exit." This is what I hear from security guards all the time here in Shenzhen as well while they just let electric scooters blast through crowds all the time. Which one is more "dangerous and faster?" lol Great review as always. Thanks!
Great videos. This one helped me to decide to purchase an x2. Looking forward to checking it out.
240 lb person and I got about 11 miles on it. I'm gonna have to do a 12mph cruise and an 18mph cruise test to see how well it actually goes. My g2t lasted 13.5 miles, completely dead, but that was also a full cruise speeds mostly.
Good video.. enjoyed this while drinking my morning latte. Now to work 😜
Just got mine and I love it but I had the same issue with the bolt/washer loose that rattles. Thanks for the code DK
Same. Just apply some blue loctite and tighten them. The loctite will prevent this from happening in the future.
Great video and I love my x2. Just finished my first repair after cracking the deck. I put it together with looser trucks so hope I can manage the wobble.
I love my double king pin compared to all my others, but I run pneumatics and love carving and skidding out when off-road
For a board that cheap, it looks really good. I have a Lacroix board which has a lot more power and range but over 2 and a half times the price. Good video.
Lol love how you highlighted "deck" on back of the infamous "deck" video
What video was that? I've been looking for it.
😂
Hi Daniel. After riding both boards (Wowgo AT 2 and the Backfire Ranger X2) which one would you recommend? What about the Ranger X3?
Thanks. SurfNorth.
Excellent Video Daniel!
This video is a Subscriber Boost !!
Such a great review. I really like your style!
I love the SUV comparison. Clever💡
It would be nice if the remote vibrated once turbo was available again.
I am trying to decide between the Ranger x2, and the Ownboard Carbon AT. Any information or suggestions on which I should get?
I address that in the final section of this video ;)
Haha same here, Ownboard looks badass, I love the looks and sound of the belt drive, with cloudwheels it should be great for city riding. I like the Ranger X2 remote and hub motors but I'm not a big fan of the bare looks. Have you decided which one to get?
Will you review the ranger x3?
You should cover the raldey carbon at v2. I have it and the brakes are super strong and I'm above 260lb. Not sure if you have v1 or v2 but for me it'll violently stop me if I floor the brakes
My X1 deck just broke so I'm purchasing the new deck.
How did that happen? Mine is still good, allmost 2000km on it in 5months
@@scufitzuca I'm a heavy guy. But the deck is just weak at the drops. I've also been using it for 12 months almost everyday.
@nuur How heavy? I’m 250 and between the X2 and the Ownboard Carbon AT for my first board.
I want to support your channel and use the affiliate code, however I am unable to do so :(
You can order from backfireboards.com and use the code there instead, the board will ship from the same warehouse. Thanks :)
First thought that the “T” thing was the skate tool, they missed a trick there, they could’ve incorporated a holder on the board.
Hi Daniel, can you do a review on the X3?
Love your reviews
Keep it up
On the RX2 the top speed is still capped at 35 km/h in turbo. That’s fine for me. My main complaint is turbo’s implementation. For example the 30 seconds cool down thing - what if I only use turbo for 5 seconds? Still have to wait 30 seconds to use it again. And other annoyances. The way it’s implemented just makes it very inconvenient to use.
@@DanielKwan What is the top speed in Sport mode?
I think philip DeFranco owns that intro :p
I really like your review of this board! I think it's sad that this security guard send you off, because this bike trails look really nice! Fortunately you didn't get a fine. I think we all should unite to make eskating more popular and to stand for our right to eskate. Every personal electric vehicle is better than a typical combustion engine car in many ways. (pollution, traffic, parking space, safety for pedestrians, ...)
bro where do you live ? those bike path and some of the views you shot were beautifull, i really enjoyed it :)
Shanghai
Have you tried pairing it with the wowgo3 hobbywing remote? Let us know if it allows you to ride on turbo endlessly 😂
agreed. lets get this answered. My belief is... YES.
@@pedxing I've seen this on someone else's channel before but they just briefly mentioned it. If it works I'm so getting the X2 😂
it works, check channel called PRESS RESET.
Looks great but they gotta change that remote.
Hi Daniel since you know so much about backfire boards i wanted to ask you, i got the g2s and brought the g2t motors for it. but i have slow acceleration and bad brakes, do i need to upgrade my esc also ? ore is it my battery that's bad ? my board is around a year old. btw wery good video about the ranger :)
you need the g2t esc upgrade too.
Yes you’d need the G2T’s ESC.
@@DanielKwan thank you for your response :) i will order the esc to
could you please do a review on the meepo City rider? I was curious to know if you could somewhat off road with it
So not get city rider, I got both of the board, the city rider is no where close to ranger x 2 experience, the brakes are inaccurate strong and sudden and its very heavy to carry around even just for a short time, they changed the Hobby wing esc to Ling yi esc, so far on other board is good but not on city rider
Daniel how did you take it to Thailand? Could you took it with you in the cabin in the plane?
They had to be shipped separately. Can’t take batteries > 160Wh on a passenger plane.
Do note that it's got a lot of rolling resistance and you're better off calling Uber if the board dies on you because pushing manually would be pretty miserable.
jleebadger ok thanks for that feedback. Trying to decide between this or a belt driven board.
@@MrPhillipsTheChangeAgent Depends on how much you weigh and whether you have a lot of hills in your area. At 210 lbs I max out my speed at 20mph on flat asphalt.
What electric longboard would you recommend for really going off road?
That Phil DeFranco intro though!👌
Thanks Daniel for your DOP VIDEOS 😃👍🏻😎
Could you please show us how to calculate the range of any board?:)
How often do you get wobbles on double king pin? I don’t see why manufactures keep upgrading the motors when you can’t safely go that fast.
Going to review Raldey carbon AT anytime soon?
I’ve tried it. Wheels touch the feet during turns. Deck too short for AT. Bad remote. Etc. I don’t like it.
@@DanielKwan right, thanks for reply. What you would recommend for allterian under 800usd? Seen this yecoo gts . Did you tried it?
Never tried it. Also don’t have any recommendations for AT under 800 at the moment.
Ik is a dumb question but where does the light go that comes with it? The red T on the board seems to be the front but it seems the light should be on front
"do you want some torque? lose weight", words to live by, lol
I have the backfire g3 and love it but roads suck everywhere. Would this ranger x2 be a more significant comfortable ride to upgrade too?
Any idea about where to get good bearings for X2?
My original bearings front and back have given up already, and I do not want to use the same bearings again. Sizes are: 1614 and 6906
So is the promoted increase tourque and acceleration only come from using turbo mode? And not increased tourque and acceleration in standard modes?
You mean compared to X1? It does have increased torque even without turbo.
Backfire Ranger x2 vs Ownboard AT in your opinion?
Disappointment you didn't' threaten to throat punch me in the intro! anyways awesome review as always! :) might get one since we got horrible roads here
Ho Daniel, I bought the G2T way back when thanks to your advice. Now I need your advice again :D
Between the Ranger X2 or Ownboard Bamboo GT (maybe get the Evolve 6" kit later too for it), what would you recommend?
I'm about 70kg and I get around 22-23 km in range.. was hoping for more
What do you think about the skate bolt tornado pro?
Dude I want to start my own Eskate channel. I already have a bunch of videos on the topic. Which camera did you use this time ?? Your content just keeps getting better and better !!
I have made my own battery packs & a decks to..
NeX Tech Projects All the action and talking shots were Yi 4K+. The slow motion b-roll stuff were other cameras listed in the description.
What do you think real off-road board? I’m looking for that one.
Any thoughts on the "Regenerative Braking"? Have you tested if it makes a difference on battery life?
Thanks
Rusty Shackleford I don’t know, you might be right. Would explain why turbo on this board doesn’t increase the top speed.
what about the reverse double kingpin trucks
Does anyone know what the first song is? I cannot find it from the link in the description :(
What Ride App? I have a BAckfire G3 and cant find an app
@@gfranks007 Id sure like to know how to reset it, didnt know of the possibility
TheKrokomaster it’s easy to do, just hold down the board power button for 5 seconds (until it flashes continuously) then turn on the remote. Once it pairs, it’s reset. Then pick you wheel size.
@@gfranks007 oh just that, thanks much!

Shanghai on the Pudong side
Im really considering getting a LaCroix board because it has a 50 mile range and can do almost 40mph.. would you be able to try and get one and do a review, it's hella expensive but the range, pneumatic tires and the speed seems worth the $3499.99 asking price..
If it’s not made and sold in China, it’s unlikely I’ll be able to try one here since importing these things would be problematic. :/
@@DanielKwan I'm sure the owner would help if the cost to import it is crazy? I met him out in a ride in Boston Ma, he's wicked cool and always willing to help reviewers and customers. Their super passionate about there boards. I'd say their customer service is actually better then boosted. Their company is in Canada. I'm thinking about out right buying one just for the sheer fact that it has a 50+ mile range. It's like the ultimate board. If you're ever in the states near the East coast after winter I'd definitely be down to let you borrow it for a video 😁😁
Ohhh my good...here we go again...Price matters ..You can buy 3,5 times a backfire x2 for the price of a LaCroix...which is not 3,5 times better ...just overpriced...my car is cheaper than this board..Boosted have done the same for many years..but now with competition from wowgo 3x seems the sale has topped ...

what shoes you wearing?
What happened to those X2s you used in Thailand that got so wet?
Sion Hannuna They were fine but our remotes needed to dry out. To be safe we opened the board enclosures and let everything dry for a day before riding again.
@@DanielKwan Ok cool. Interesting video :-)
The shoe brand is Huili or Warrior. Not very common outside of China.
Those are for madmen
What setting do you like since you kinda hate double king pins?
Just a wider RKP truck would be nice. Something like Caliber but wide enough for this board would be good.
Daniel Kwan doesn't sound bad you I actually like that idea, you should test it with the caliber they need to hear you and see other options, that is the point of you making a review of it and doing long trips.
Okay, that's cool and all, but what kind of pants are those? Link / brand?
They’re sold at every other tourist shop in Thailand. Ripped after wearing a few times :p
Hi love your vids n info thank you. Tried to use your discount code when purchasing and exway flex riot and it did not work
It works when I tried just now.

Tie a wagon to the trucks
They do! It's called another board!! More fun for her😂
hi Daniel.. I'm 170 kg .. can you tell me which product is good for me ? ( btw, thx for your awesome videos)
Can you review the ownboard muni belt driven version?

We passed policemen several times and they never cared at all.
Great video, great review! I know they are 2 completely different boards but which should I get Ranger X2 or Exway Pro Riot?
both 😁
Maybe consider if you need portability more or all-terrain more
Daniel Kwan wish that was an option right now, limited to ☝️but will most likely end up with both some day 😁
Daniel Kwan what about the Ranger X2 and the Own Board Bamboo AT?
Depends which wheels option you’re considering for the Ownboard. See my newest video :)
What gloves do you use?
amzn.to/2WSL5uL - Not this brand but exactly the same. This is sold under many different brands.
They don't mind my longboard, but I think the sound of a belt drive electric skateboard would irritate them.
what are the competitior anyways?
