Hi Stu,Thank you so much for this detailed and wonderful review!Your opinion is objective and fair! As for braking, beginners need to adapt to it. This problem is taken into consideration when we designing the brake. When braking, you need to adjust your center of gravity to the rear with the front foot as support, or slowly pull the wheel on the remote control. Don't pull it all the way. You can master it in about 10 minutes of practice. It is safe. Don't worry, it just takes time to adapt.
Like I said in my conclusion- the breaking is good, but for those that don’t expect it- it’s quite sharp. If you don’t practice/not used to it, you’ll end up with a few bruises!
Mikey Shelley again... I’m very aware, but tightening them up defeats the object of what they are trying to achieve with the double kingpin- lots of turning power, so reviewing as it came from the factory is an important element to giving a fair review- that way you’ll get the ride they intended and not the ride you have customised for yourself 👍
@@MikeyShelley agreed. you need to setup every board for rider skill level and weight for the turning sensitivity required and that means adjustign the tension of the truck pivot bolts. still would be nice if they included a range of bushings to help with this tuning.
This was awesome to watch because you usually review scooters. You almost have your skate legs altogether. Going 25mph on my board gets scary when my legs aren't in top form. I loved your Xiao Mi video. (I think it was...) The one where you changed the wheels, I got that for my GF. Cheers!
Speed Racer you could tighten them up for less turning power, but I believe the intentions were to have a board that does turn quickly! I don’t believe it would effect it a great deal... potentially off road more so than on road- but the boards flex would still give it good absorption of the grounds bumps!
How is the grip on wet surfaces? I own an eboard (regular, not all terrain) and if it has rained and the streets are wet, when I break the board loses grip and slides
ohhh no been looking and trying to find out where its made, in this video i see the underside made in china, was going to buy, if it was not made in china. What board is like this but not made in PRC??
Just tighten the nuts on the trucks to preference. Tighter the better for speed, otherwise you risk getting speed wobble, and believe me, that is not fun at 60 mph. Ask me how I know!
Well I’m taller than you Paul, and most other people... and I was alright 👍the fact it’s a huge deck helps a lot a think, but yeah it’s definitely more difficult the taller you are, as balance changes significantly!
In eco mode it limits the speed, so better for areas with people... but when in the countryside, put it in mega turbo death mode and have some fun! ☠️👌🥃
Hey Stu thanks for the review! i noticed that you said when you take your thumb off the throttle it slows down a little too dramatically and sometimes throws you. can someone point me to another review that addresses this topic? your the first review i have seen that reports this so i wanted to corroborate this a bit.
I think it depends largely on the skill of the rider... if you’re a better rider, I don’t see it being as much an issue. Also, I’m 6ft8 and 100kg, so being quite tall it means my center if gravity is higher and therefore easier to throw me on sudden speed changes and because of my weight when the throttle is released it loses momentum and slows down quicker. Hope this helps!
@@StusReviewsUK good to know. Thanks for the quick reply! I would think larger skaters would have good inertia after letting off the throttle. Daniel Kwan didnt mention anything about that issue in his review and im definitely less then his weight. Im only 125lb so im maybe half of you haha. anyways thanks again for the review. Im pretty sure ill be adding the x2 to my collection soon. i might wait for the x3 later this year. last question, i like you helmet and im looking for a light weight full protection helmet. what brand is that one?
I think Dan is a little smaller and less weight than myself... also he's a little more experienced than me at riding boards... Scooters are my usual go-to as I say at the beginning of the content 👍. The X2 is sick though... its seriously a powerhouse! The helmet I used was this one - amzn.to/2PXsjiZ Although upgrading to a slightly larger one for my big swede of a head soon. 😂 Full face helmets are a must when travelling at that sort of speed.
Only tip I'd give is wear the correct footwear. You have no feel in trainers. You are putting another quarter of an inch between your foot and the board, probably why you found it witchy. .

Mikey Shelley all important points that I’ll bare in mind for my next electric skateboard review! 👌
@@StusReviewsUK I have owned a 2nd edition ranger X1 for 2 years now.... Trust me after awhile you NEED to tighten your top trucks!!!
@@MikeyShelley agreed. you need to setup every board for rider skill level and weight for the turning sensitivity required and that means adjustign the tension of the truck pivot bolts. still would be nice if they included a range of bushings to help with this tuning.
Just use the T-Tool to tighten the front truck, it'll stabilize your ride. My Ownboard arrived super wobbly but it's an easy fix.
I was already eyeing up electric boards, but this has sold me. I need to start saving 🤙
Thanks for the review! Sick board.

Can you change the trucks for better stability? If yes, would doing so affect ride comfort?

you rock that stash bro

I was wondering (of the balance problem) if you don't have double kingpin what's the alternative?
Recorded with Insta360 one? Amazing how the stick disappears. Great recording, very pro
fofocho71 yeah it’s cool right! Makes it much better to see what’s going on!
Inferior to Go Pro Max in literally every way.
Hi could you use it regularly in our beautiful most likely rainy British weather without issues?
You are very charismatic and you have all the cool toys living the life. I am jealous 😄
Ninebot Max vs Backfire Ranger X2! Who will win? 😁🛴🛹
Comfort and safety - max.
Speed and acceleration - backfire hands down!
@@StusReviewsUK Going with the Max for comfort & stability :)
@@StusReviewsUK im thinking of getting the raldey v2 would the backfire ranger be a better option 🤔
Looks like great fun! I can imagine it being harder for the taller person.

Thats what she said....
Sir what is your weight? Does it work well uphill for 90kg?
Hey, good video. mustache joke was funny
Great video, but where could it be used safely due to it’s top speed?
In eco mode it limits the speed, so better for areas with people... but when in the countryside, put it in mega turbo death mode and have some fun! ☠️👌🥃
cycle path perhaps if you keep to 15mph. otherwise private parking lots, field, etc for nearer max speed :)
"How do I engage Turbo mode? " And he was never seen again... All a bit much for someone of my advanced age, but looks a blast
Tighten one of the trucks there are toe of them one fore minor adjustments the other for major
Scales of justice. Too funny.

Should I get the X2 or wait for the ranger X3? 🧐 🤔
did you end up buying the x2 or are you waiting for the x3?
X3 looks pretty decent, depends what you want it for, X2 is lighter but X3 is superior in power range and design..
When you say flex and loss of balance it's pretty clear to me you don't know how to use the board. You need to tighten your trucks more
Definitely keep the moustache! As well as the surprisingly luring stranger things-esque sound bites. Fantashtic 😉

Looks like god fun, but definitely not something I would get for city transport.
Rip it up dude :)
Should’ve got Sam doing stunts on it.
For the review obviously, and not for my enjoyment of him falling off!
He’s surprisingly good at it!!!
Death trap.
I’m still alive! 🥳
not if you can skateboard and carve
Not for me. I would end up crashing and hurting myself or worse.
