Top water bite in the dark is best. You can't see where your bait is & the strike scares the shit out of you. I get the chills thinking about it.
Man Ive had some Wakebait bites in the dark that Ill never forget!
Nighttime walleye topwater is insane if you've never done it. They don't fight hard but they hit with some crazy violence, and sometimes right at the boat and it'll make you shit your pants.
You're not wrong. My first buzzbait bite was at 10pm right at the bank. Legs were shaking!

Man in my area I haven't had a topwater bite since early July. I usually throw a topwater or two most times i go out but they just havent gone for it. Having no troubles catching fish on chatterbaits and Texas rigs though!

Ive never had much luck on topwater while the sun is hitting the water. Only during overcast or after the sun goes behind the trees
Looks like your casts are a mile long. The retrieve takes forever to get the fish back to the boat. Good times 😎
You got that right! I try to cast as far from the boat as possible.

it will work but I like it better in cleaner water
I've got a terminal tackle question; do you two ever use clips instead of knots to attach lures to the line? If so for what techniques?
Clips can fail. You still need at least one knot to use a clip, so I guess you are referring to changing baits without having to use a new knot every time?
We personally don't use clips. We've had them fail in the past.

How come i always see youtubers fishing the middle of the lake (even with topwaters…?) yet i only ever catch bass closer to the bank & only ever see guys bass fishing the banks in person
