I'm honestly glad that the story hasn't progressed since release, the less the books and extra lore make up the rela story the better. I LOVE the books, but shadows of Reach, Bad blood and Rubicon protocol should've been the game between 5 and infinite, the game stories should flow together with the books adding context, filling in gaps and expanding the universe, the story continuing in books should only be done to tie up loose ends after a shit campaign like 5. So infinite should go straight to halo 7, not books, because its story didn't suck ass.
It'd be even cooler if he got re introduced in a mission. Like all those banished prison camps you crash. I wanna find Lasky the same way I found Keyes in halo ce

A single Autumn class ship (essentially the upgraded PoA with shields, better armor, and a heavy coil MAC battery) would have destroyed most of that fleet, possibly all of it if it was commanded by a competent captain with a capable AI. And the UNSC has definitely gotten at least SOME of those things either back online or into service given that Earth's home fleet was disabled, not destroyed. And the UNSC obviously knows how to and is capable of building their own damn standard capital ship. And with how fast the UNSC builds ships, you best bet that the only reason the Banished are not getting planted right now is because of plot armor.

Hope we see him again at some point! I really liked lasky! He was one of the best things brought in from halo 4. He's a cool guy and I like his history of the Spartans and chief saving him, so he looks up to them! Good connection with the characters. As great as the Halo games are, they really aggrevate me with how each game picks up at a very different place to where the previous left off and then they don't answer questions they just pose more. Halo 5 and Infinite are just the worse offenders.
I really don’t understand how with the success of ODST, we’ve never done a semi-DLC campaign built on the existing engine again. I could totally see H2A’s engine being used for a First Strike campaign to bridge halo 1 and 2. Halo 5 and Halo infinite could have easily had one or two campaigns, given that their respective lifecycles are two full halo games on top of their own.
One of the developers of odst came out and mentioned they had plans for an odst game similar hell divers 2. And deal with terrorist and or other covenant missions. That would have been amazing
Lastly may not be Johnson, hell, he isn’t even close but he’s one of the very few marines that I can really relate to he even has his own movie and it’s great imo

Yeah, over the past 2 or so years i would get really worked up with what I wanted the game to be and have it improve. I still want that. I feel it has so much potential! But after being so busy with school and such and not even being able to play games that much i just can't care or worry so much about it anymore. Jul was well written in some media, but they didn't do anything with his character and killed him off before they should have. Same thing with atriox, good intro, good concept, killed him off screen and then pulled a Disney star wars and brought him back. As of yet he still has been entirely useless since hw2 other than how other brutes speak of him with respect
343 has fucked up a fair bit for the beginning of Halo Infinite it really makes no sense they cut so much information unless you read the books and killed way too many people off screen. It just seems weird the direction they are going in for the series

Halo 5 was the nail and infinite was the coffin. Both games killed the franchise story wise. Halo 5 was just awful and infinite just time skips massive events.
