A big THANK YOU goes to Beachcomber Resort & Hotels who partnered up with us to produce this Mauritius Travel Documentary. Special thanks to Lena Kleininger of LMG Management for organizing the collaboration. Another big thank you goes to the Mauritian Tourism Promotion Agency (MTPA), especially Joan Lamy, as well as Cornelia Fischer of Aviareps, for organizing several of our amazing tours. Furthermore, we want to thank Christopher Sainte-Marie of the Rodrigues Tourism Office for his assistance in discovering Rodrigues. We are also very grateful for the amazing insights gathered from Stacy, Supporting Officer & Ranger, and Stephen Kirsakye, Ecotour Officer, of the Mauritian Wildlife Foundation. Last but not least, thank you to everyone who made our stay special, including Sylvain, Kandy, Ved, Stephan, Ravissen, Gideon (Trou aux Biches), Audrey, Victoria, Baboo, Hemant, Ravi, Agen (Dinarobin), and Aurelie, Denny, Ivan, Ricardo (Shandrani). This trip was supported by Beachcomber Hotels & Resorts as well as the Mauritian Tourism Promotion Agency. As part of our collaboration, we were lucky enough to experience a complimentary stay at all three Beachcomber Resorts, whereas MTPA paid for several of our excursions, i.e. the helicopter flight. All other expenses, i.e. domestic flights, car rental, etc., were paid by ourselves. As usual, all opinions are our own.

      Ahhh mine too!!
Mauritius was once quoted by the famous, Mark Twain, that "Heaven was copied after Mauritius!" He must have surely loved it there!
The people are so warm & friendly there & seem very inclusive of everyone, no matter where they hail from.
Lovely culture & great food there.
I like to travel the world & see what's outside of my country.
At present i'm in Australia & it's pretty amazing here too. An amazing coastline in Aus & friendly locals.
      Cheers.

Hi, I am looking to visit the island for about 2 weeks in March and am unsure about the weather (mainly the rain) - am I to expect a potential string of 3-4 days of rain or would I be ok just having several hours of rain spread in the period? Any input/help and experience of visiting the island in March would be welcome!

    • @seyshgoburdhone7841
      @seyshgoburdhone7841 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@RayniacW Hi! Sure, I could give you some info. So March is generally quite rainy but you will get several sunny days. It’s hard to say if it will be continuous rain for a few days or a scattered distribution over the span of a week but some regions of the country are less rainy than others. The temperature is usually comfortable during this period although sometimes it can get a quite hot (H 30°C, L 20ish°C). But overall I think you’ll really enjoy the island.

Protection from the sun i suspect.
The sun's UV rays are indeed dangerous, specifically to those with paler, olive or somewhat darker skins.
My Doctor informed me a while ago, that even those with darker complexions must slip, slop, slap these days.
It's pure fallacy that only pale skinned people burn and get skin cancer.
My Mauritian & my Indian friend, both had benign moles removed from their skin, so they were very lucky!

@@MYLOVEOFIRELAND2303 Indeed, it hits regardless of skin tone. But you're correct, Lucas snorkel in shirt to protect himself. He confirmed it in his Maldives episode.

I hope you could also visit Philippines. I enjoyed a lot watching your rugged trips and it's so soothing to hear your voice, the way you narrate the wonders of nature.

What an outstanding tour of the entire gem of Mauritius. Thank you kindly for showing us the entire country and it's rich culture and the warmth and love for the environment, visitors. Just a marvelous trip that you took us all the viewers of you and your wife. Bless your heart. Note: What is the secretary of tourism for Mauritius & Rogrigues doing to fined the polluters and litter bugs as well as laws penalizing such perpetrators?

Hi guys, loved your personal way to travel and execute your travel vlog. It was something special. You differentiate well from many other travel vloggers, to your advantage. Also your production skills were excellent : shooting, mapping editing, including manuscript. Very pro 👍. Thank you for sharing ✌️.

Very well made documentary! I appreciate your focus on the birds. Hearing them is what reminds me of being back home.
On a side note, I'm salty about the fact that the cook didn't mention Chinese cuisine.😅 Chinese cuisine makes up a big part of Mauritian cuisine.

You are absolutely right about the influence of the Chinese cuisine! He probably mentioned Chinese too, but it might have become a victim of editing 😅
