Magufuli City is a project of $4.7 Billion almost $5 Billion not a $1 Billion as you mentioned.
This is what $ 1 billion dollars can do. Imagine $14.5 billion. That's what Konza is costing yet there are no buildings there.
Only through Magufuli not otherwise

Why is it so empty and it’s supposed to be finished by 2025? Plus I hope the government has a comprehensive way to pay back all these loans that’s not increasing taxes. Looks good so far tho but for 4.7 billion usd that seems excessive hope they bring jobs and affordable accommodation not just fancy government buildings

That's a govt city, all those buildings are govt offices, and this project is fully funded by the govt.
@@titokwareh1852 How about the 1 billion from China? They don’t give out money for free. If it’s an investment what exactly is the return. All I hope is that it is successful and not a waste of money because several new administrative cities have been built it other counties and not proving to be successful. But we are not a rich country and can’t afford to waste money. Obviously it’s a great initiative just hope it is successful and beneficial for everyone because it’s funded by tax payers money if the gov is funding it. Plus the president is saying that the government is not collecting enough tax for our gdp but people are already struggling increasing tax is not feasible for ordinary citizens. They need to create more high value jobs to increase the middle class not tax already struggling citizens.

I think that the Presidential Palace should have been built with modern Tanzanian architecture and not with Arab architecture... even to respect the history of struggles that these wonderful people had to gain their freedom

That’s what I’m wondering how is this place going to generate income the government needs to focus on building industries and creating more high value jobs+ investing more into agriculture since that is where a huge chunk of our gdp comes from so we can see a rising middle class not building a new nice looking city with only government offices with the few funds the country has.
@@dellanfuka2300you need to ask before criticizing ,i guess there clever people have thought through, Tanzania is a big country we can't all of us traveling thousands of km to go to Dsm , we needed government administrative city to be at the centre of the country, that is the reason Dodoma was chosen, and not by magufuli ,was Nyerere ,Magufuli enforced the dream
