  • A tutorial! Broken into two parts since I really get into the weeds.
    Part 1 covers modeling the soda bottle. Part 2 covers UV unwrapping and rendering. It's here: • Soda Bottle Blender Tu...
    Trying to make this a little more through and include the keys I'm hitting. But I'm sure you'll still have questions. Feel free to ask them in comments.

    Bridge Edge loops not working for me. The circle closes and I can see lines going from one extreme to the other.
    I'm using version 2.83.2

    Actually you can look up the IOR for low density polyethylene (LDP) for that extra touch of reality😀

    Hi. Just started using blender. I created the circle but I don't have the same interface. So I can't change the number of vertices on my circles.
    I been searching for a while now but... yeah. No results.

    Hello, I have a problem making a flat texture. let's say I want to get an image texture for the wine bottle when I take the image from the camera. the image looks curved so when I am trying to make a flat image then the information inside the image e.g. details/text/logo becomes wavey. So do you have any information about how to resolve
    please share !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi, Thanks for the interesting tutorial. I have a question. I am a Mac user too, I noticed when you hit the "Space" bar you brought the search menu up, but when I hit the same key my playback button start playing in time line. How can I modify that key to be as my search button? Thanks

    i m new with blender, i made a bottle, but i see that yours is so smooth and round, with no pointy edges, mine is more geometrical i don t know how to say it,. How can i change this, maybe i lost something you did in this tutorial, but i can t understand it, rather than that it helped me a lot, i have a bottle :D

    How long did it take to go through the whole process from start to finish?

    • @blenderfordesigners1312
      @blenderfordesigners1312  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It really depends. This was a tutorial, so I wanted to plan the steps and try to cover a few things, so it took me more then a few hours to make. And the oddly shaped base took the longest to figure out. If you're only doing a simple bottle, you may be able to get it done in an hour or two. Though probably not the first time you try. Add to that if you have a complex base, cap or other elements.

    how do you select individual vertices around 9:53 I heard the word “shift but maybe I heard wrong because it doesn’t work for me am I in the wrong mode or something ?

    • @BlkReginaGeorge
      @BlkReginaGeorge 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      just to clarify absolutely nothing happens when I click on a vertex

    • @blenderfordesigners1312
      @blenderfordesigners1312  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      :You have to right click - use the right mouse button. And you hold shift to select multiple verticies. Blender is weird - you select with the right mouse button. You can change that to the left in user preferences, but most of us who've been using Blender for a while are just used to it.

      still not working could it be because I’m using a MacBook with the mouse touch pad instead of a mouse?

    • @blenderfordesigners1312
      @blenderfordesigners1312  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Clicking with two fingers (right-click equivalent) on my mac trackpad worked for me. That said, I'd strongly recommend getting a 3 button mouse to use in blender. So many things in blender involve using the right and center mouse buttons and they're fairly cheap. If you still want to use the trackpad or a wacom tablet, go to File->User Preferences, click on "Input" and select "emulate 3 button mouse". You can also set "Select with:" to "Left". More on that here: docs.blender.org/manual/en/dev/preferences/input.html
