Dear Mary, you have already received wonderful advice. Do you have a spiritual director? I know a lady who recently went through something similar. She did not fast every single day, but had Masses said for her adult child. Also remember from the saints, "The devil loves to fish in troubled waters." She attempted to stay at peace, knowing that Our Blessed Lord sometimes asks us to participate in the Passion of the Church, and that His almighty power is greater than all this. She imitated some of the actions of St. Monica, namely, trying to do something for someone else's child, confident that Our Lord would send someone to minister to her child. She attempted to think and talk about something else. She went to Confession weekly, and tried to forgive those who were causing the trouble. Finally, she confided in Our Mother of Sorrows at the foot of the Holy Cross.
Dearest Mary, I did not see all your comments. I am sure that Our Lord and Our Lady will hear your prayers and receive your sacrifices. I will place all your intentions on the paten at Holy Mass tomorrow.

Does God forgive and grant any grace to those loved by him only?
Christ had said ''knock and it will be opened to you'', ''seek and you will find'' ''ask and it will be given to you'' ''whatever you ask to the Father in my name he will give it to you'' and ''whatever you ask for you will receive if it is beneficial to your soul''. Are these promises valid for everyone or only for those whom God loves? Same question is in regards of Our Lady's promises. It is also said that God knows what is best for us.
God is Our Father, he knows everything and knows things before they happen, which good loving Father who loves his children would grant his daughter to someone who had the intention just to use her and when she got pregnant left her? Seems that God is not so offended by the man's sins and actions because to him he granted more. God seems offended by the woman's sins only in this case. Does God really want to save everyone or only those loved by him? For who's soul was this beneficial? Man? Woman? Baby? Which good and loving Father would deny a daughter having another relation with someone who really loves her because according to him it is adultery? .
News flash, He didn't.
