Sacred heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore thee, I love thee and with a lively sorrow for my sins I consecrate myself to thee. Make me humble, patient, pure and holy obedient to thy love. Grant good Jesus, that I may live in thee and for thee. Protect me in the midst of danger, comfort me in my afflictions, give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs, and the grace of a holy death. Within thy heart I place my every care. In every need I come to thee with humble trust saying heart of Jesus help me.

Thank you, Father, for this helpful sermon. My pastor allows me to offer my Communion the Sunday after First Friday since I cannot attend Mass on Fridays. As you suggested, I’ve already offered this Sunday’s Communion so that it is made in reparation even if I forget. Three Hail Marys have been offered for this priest.

I've heard of First Friday Devotions, but I never heard of this promise, associated with the Sacred Heart of Jesus, by attending mass, and receiving Holy Communion, on 9 first Fridays each month, in a row. Very Useful to know.

I love Jesus and his heart like David I'm a girl after his own heart but I struggle because I feel so unworthy of everything he's given me even enjoying mass I cry because I just feel so unworthy that someone like me can take part in this mass I dunno I been through a lot and made the worst choices. I really pray God helps more lost girls like me because it's now more then ever we need him.

He loves you with an infinite love, He said if thy sins be as red as scarlet He will make them as white as snow. I too lived a bad life in my ignorance but I live a catholic life now and am so grateful that He forgave me my sins. Although we are unworthy we need to give Him great thanks for this precious gift of forgiveness. Thy sins gave been forgiven thee, go and sin no more. God bless you

I used to focus on how unworthy I am of the Lord's patience & love because I totally don't deserve it, but then I realized that I was struggling because I was still focusing on myself.
The reality is that we're all undeserving BUT what matters is that the Lord is so good & full of love for us ANYWAY - and we need to focus on HIS love instead of our own defects.
It's much like how parents love their child regardless of whether the child has "earned" it or not. If we humans are capable of that sort of love, how much more so is God!

When I look at all the supposed Gods of the various religions I think "Who can compare to Jesus?". What sort of God with infinite power and wisdom would sacrifice His only beloved son for a race of sinful and ungrateful creatures? What sort of God loves and only loves, always forgives and even craves our attention? What sort of God is infinitely merciful to even the most relentless sinner? What sort of God is He? I have looked at it all, I see nothing but lies, falsehood and deception everywhere except in the words of my saviour Jesus Christ. I see His church, His bride, the Holy Roman Catholic Church, I see it suffer, I see it being attacked from within and from without. Although His bride is wounded, it is still the light of the world as it alone offers us our saviour in the Holy Eucharist. That is why this world attacks His bride, that is why the Catholic Church is vilified in our media because ONLY in the Catholic Church can you receive Jesus Christ Himself.

I know very little of Sacred Heart but I want to learn more. Some of my favorite teachers and defenders of the faith have strong devotion to the Sacred Heart but I struggle to find a good source of information.

When can we start the first Fridays ? In June or anytime?

    • @melmckenna4599
      @melmckenna4599 ปีที่แล้ว

You can start them on any first Friday off the month as long as you do them for nine consecutive months

Maybe musicians and other performers can relate to this pretty well.
You can go up there and play your heart out, and at the end of your set, covered in sweat, you look up and hear (mostly) polite applause and [worse] people tapping into their phones, gossiping, etc. 😖

In America’s modern times, some people think that the month of June is about LGBT 🏳️‍🌈 rights but in my honest opinion and facts, the month of June is about the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ and the Immaculate heart of Mary. So LGBT rights is strictly forbidden during the month of June and in America.

The heart is a muscular organ in most animals, which pumps blood through the blood vessels of the circulatory system.
Blood provides the body with oxygen and nutrients, as well as assisting in the removal of metabolic wastes.
In humans, the heart is located between the lungs, in the middle compartment of the chest.
In humans, other mammals, and birds, the heart is divided into four chambers: upper left and right atria; and lower left and right ventricles.
Commonly, the right atrium and ventricle are referred to together as the right heart, and their left counterparts as the left heart.
Fish, in contrast, have two chambers, an atrium and a ventricle, while reptiles have three chambers.
In a healthy heart, blood flows one way through the heart (due to heart valves, which prevent backflow).
The heart is enclosed in a protective sac, the pericardium, which also contains a small amount of fluid.
The wall of the heart is made up of three layers: epicardium, myocardium, and endocardium.
The heart pumps blood with a rhythm determined by a group of pacemaking cells in the sinoatrial node.
These generate a current that causes contraction of the heart, traveling through the atrioventricular node and along the conduction system of the heart.
The heart receives blood low in oxygen from the systemic circulation, which enters the right atrium from the superior and inferior venae cavae, and passes to the right ventricle.
From here, it is pumped into the pulmonary circulation, through the lungs (where it receives oxygen and gives off carbon dioxide).
Oxygenated blood then returns to the left atrium, passes through the left ventricle, and is pumped out through the aorta to the systemic circulation − where the oxygen is used and metabolized to carbon dioxide.
The heart beats at a resting rate close to 72 beats per minute.
Exercise temporarily increases the rate, but lowers resting heart rate in the long term, and is good for heart health.
Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are the most common cause of death globally (as of 2008), accounting for 30% of all deaths.
Of these, more than three quarters are a result of coronary artery disease and stroke.
Risk factors include: smoking, being overweight, little exercise, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and poorly controlled diabetes, among others.
Cardiovascular diseases frequently do not have symptoms, or may cause chest pain or shortness of breath.
Diagnosis of heart disease is often done by the taking of a medical history, listening to the heart-sounds with a stethoscope, ECG, and ultrasound.
Specialists who focus on diseases of the heart are called cardiologists, although many specialties of medicine may be involved in treatment.
