    The problem is most of the western commentators think that
    1. Everyone has a price
    2. You just got one life and one prime and therefore you have to make as much money as possible during that time.
    The problem is Khabib and in general people in those cultures don't care as much about money as they do for old world charms such as honour, respect and religion. That's why Khabib never talks thrash, he knows at the end it's only the fight that matters.

    Khabib is one of those guys everyone roots for to win. He's so humble, so disciplined and respectful. And all that plus his absolute dominance in the sport, thats why people rarely root against him. And when an opponent is talking trash to khabib, he stands his ground like a G, then beats them. No facade, no games. He's really about that.
    The example Andrew gave with Floyd mayweather... even though mayweather is also great at his sport, he intentionally paints himself as the villain to promote the fight. His whole gimmick of "money mayweather," people see him flaunting and they want him to lose. Then if he fights a mexican opponent, he intentionally disses them coming in with a sombrero to promote the fight. So then it stirs interest but it also has ppl feeling like "alright, dude is getting too cocky, he needs to get beat so he can shut up." To floyd's credit, he thrived as the villain

      @Kevin D I didn't criticize GSP, in the contrary I said he is the only one that can be put in a goat Convo with Khabib. But to correct you, he had a shot at the vacant belt after 2 fights in ufc and lost to Hughes. Then after a 5 fight win streak he got a shot again at the belt and won. He lost his first title defense against Serra, then had to win 2 fights and got a shot at the belt for the 3rd time and defended his title 9 times. Khabib won 9-in-a-row just to get his first and shot at the belt.

    • @khabibmma9382
      @khabibmma9382 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Kevin D I can recall several fighters that have the same amount of title defenses like Khabib, that's not what seperates Khabib from the crowd. He dominated and cleaned the most stacked division before getting his shot at the title winning 9 fights in a row. You cant say the same about Cejudo, he fought in a weak division, still did not clean it and lost to DJ and Benavidez, and won his title via split decision. His only recognizable achievement is being a 2 division champ. Khabib never lost, never had a draw or split decsion and just crushed the competition.

      It's annoying as shit, but..I mean the good old days are over. The days when giant freaks fought tiny karate black belts in Pride and UFC are over. No more my discipline vs your discipline, which was interesting. Now I it's just youtube attention whore influencers fighting has-beens or whatever. Meaningless fights, but science experiments none-the-less. Kids watch the crap...but eventually it'll get old.
      When it starts to suck is when these idiots pull actual fighters who are in their prime out of the fight game for a year to waste on them. It fucks up the rankings, it wastes their prime, and they get so rich they don't even need to fight anymore.

    *"Justin came real close"*
    *"He was really fucking up his leg"*
    *"But khabib figured out a way to get the fight the ground"*
    1st: Justin landed one perfect low calf kick in round one that wobbled Khabib, but khabib didn't show any signs of slowing down . He also outkickboxed Justin completely on the feet. Landed a beautiful knee, teeps to the body and jabbed at will. He had the most violent lightweight on his toes and Justin landed some shots that had other opponents flying across the octagon, and khabib took them without issue
    2nd: Khabib ate those leg kicks full strenght since he was fighting Justin on stand up , but if he wanted to take him down and G&P Justin, those leg kicks would have been way weaker and useless.
    3rd: To be honest he could of took Justin down at any moment in the fight lol . I don't think he really had to figure too much out
    He fought with a broken toe and his foot was a balloon, after probably the hardest year in his life with thousands of bottled up emotions and a lot of pain. His father was everything for him. And we still had the pleasure to watch him give ya that beautiful farewell performance.
    I love Joe Rogan, but I realized that for some reason, he'll never give Khabib the respect he deserves
