Depends on a number of things mate. Biggest one being filtration. I'm building a 2500 Gallon pond at mo but only stocking it with 6 koi. Oh And 2 goldfish for the Mrs lol
I’m so glad I’ve come across this footage as I’m almost building the same set up .and I am now at piece of mind particularly on the skimmer set up on which I was a little concerned but seems to be working well and I think I’m going to do the same .well done it looks really well .
Very nice koi pond. Where is that loud droning background noise coming from... water or air pump? Must be very irritating, if your trying to relax while sitting on the patio? Would you recommend, placing the pumps and filter unit, in a sound reducing enclosure, to minimise the noise?
Nice pond and garden...shows what can be achieved with not a massive plot....Tim do you know the thickness of the laminated glass in total..cheers mate
Morning Tim, I have a pond at the moment, but it is quite small (about 450 gallons) and old. Looking to build a new, larger one - say about 1500 - 2000 gallons. Just wondered, do you have any suitable plan layouts / list of recommended fittings etc for a typical pond of that size?
Great vidio! I've just bought a nexus 220. Would you advise 1 1/2 return or 2" return. I have 2 returns going to my pond 1 mid level and one lower down. Thanks, Dave
Great set-up and another valued pond footage by Tim. OE, I also noticed the 112w on their varipump. I have my vari 10k (nexus 200) @60% on a split (pond MF & shower) reading 52w and when I crack it up to 100% its reading 92w (take in a few bends etc). Vari 20k (nexus 300) @46% reading 78w (rtn via evo55). Cranking my 20k up to 60% is exactly 112w, perhaps you are correct! Tim has sold/installed so many to remember who has what etc.
Does the Nexus not need a cover on if its outside? I think its ridiculous EA charge £145 extra for a cover and it isnt even a solid one like the EazyPod its a flimsy looking thing
I always like to see ponds that enhance a garden rather than overpower it. Quality job, love it.

Wow great view from the decking. Great owner.
Perfect location for a pond. You can see the koi from all levels. I'd be a very happy staycationer with that.
Entire garden Looks really good. Great family job. 👍🏻👍🏻
You swear by these nexxus pumps ...... I think they are top of the line also!!! What beautiful pond and backyard, this guy did great job!!!!!

I'd love to see an update on this pond. I based my build on this one.
How may koi will he be able to keep it a pond that size. Lovely pond can’t wait to get mine started 👍🏻👍🏻
Nice pond very similar to mine some good info there mate
Nice pond and garden...shows what can be achieved with not a massive plot....Tim do you know the thickness of the laminated glass in total..cheers mate
Nice and simple and looks great! Interested to know the dimensions?
Lovely pond would like this in my garden ,just one thing that noise would drive me crazy seems quite loud to me
Awsome as always..what would be the stocking rate on say a 50cm koi average be on that pond size.
How have you fitted the glass panel with a frame or rebated the block work can you give us a close up if possible.
Nice set up, how much does it cost to run?
I would imagine the pond takes around 700watts so work it out from that.
Tim is there any chance of doing a revisit on this pond?. It was the inspiration behind mine.
I was actually thinking about them the other day. Will have to contact them
Do these pumps make a lot of noise when covered?
Pozdrawiam serdecznie cię kolego👍👍

Looks really nice, size don't matter
which skimmer is it?
How many returns can you get away with on a 10, 000 vari before it’s to weak pushing through?
I do love that cladding , nice rustic look , did you find out where they are from?
I have similar looking tiles on my pond i think they are called splitface porcelain tiles you can see them on my channel
DXB DXB thanks I’ll have a look

Its nice to see diff ideas , tim you still got some fish for sale ? Or all sold now
Hi,can you tell me where they got the cladding tiles from?
i saw the tiles a B&Q
What fibreglass company did you use as I have decided to fibreglass and looking for a recommended company .many thanks
Do you and your father have any pictures of the build that i can see?
Cracking little pond how thick is the glass Tim and what speck please 👍🏻
He's got 5 koi in there Tim. How many more could he safely add? The beni kiko n goshiki u delivered r doin brill cheers 👍
Ric koi all depends what he wants to do, less koi better growth. I would say 20 smaller koi
@@TimWaddington woah higher than i thought 👍
Isn't it a 20000 pump as it was running 120w so is it turning the pond over twice an hour?
10,000 pump
@@TimWaddington I thought the 10000 would only run 75w. Sorry just a bit confused
You have me thinking now... I’ll double check

Great pond, very similar to mine. Nice bit of info on the 220 levels cheers. Tim, do you sell the skimmer on your website ?
No Simon sorry because we won’t post them.
@@TimWaddington ok fair enough. Don't blame you lol.
@@TimWaddington One more question, if that's a 10000 varipump how is it running at 112 watts at 65%. Mine only goes up to 95 watt at 100% ?
Where did you get your skimmer from ?
They are our own
Cool I will look on your website to buy 👍🏼
The skimmer in this video is exactly the dimension etc that I am after. How do I purchase from you as there is none in your website ?
Sort of cost you looking at for a pond like that?
From your experience with koi, what is the best size for a koi pond, I'm thinking about tearing mine down and going bigger.
It has to be manageable, that’s all. 5000 gallons is a great size, just depends what you want to do.
I've had a 2k gallon for 15 years and I notice my koi only get so big. 20 to 25 inch.
Jeremy Wade wants his T-shirt back.

If the pond gets rain in it, the filter can too
Where is your shop in Wigan
Woolston, Warrington 👍
Nice shirt, lol
Tim Hopefully you will sell a few more fish soon so you can replace that tatty t-shirt 🤣 great video mate 👍
Maybe mate! Fingers crossed!
Please tell your video editor to NORMALISE the INTRO AUDIO, it almost broke my ear drum!
