Thank you for doing these videos. I have a newbie question. I noticed that when you did the underwater shots there is a loud hum and buzzing. Is that from the filters ? if so, how much does that vibration and underwater sound disturb the fish. Should we be insulating/soundproofing on the filter side of the ponds ??

I have a 20,000 litre per hour vari pump set at 50% therefore 10,000 lph less any losses for bends and height.

I did add some plastic angle section stood on end to add support and leave an air gap otherwise they do stack together too tightly.
The surplus material off the spill trays was enough to make lids for the top planter.
They've been running 2 years now and work very well.

It would be hard to criticise this excellent installation on any basis except to say that it's hard to imagine a more sterile and unimaginative environment for the fish. Confined is a rectangular monotonous bleak tank lacking any stimulus or attempt to create a natural environment while being assaulted by the turbulence of that 'enthusiastic' air pump. One is reminded of a Bengal Tiger captive and pacing in a cage. The hobbyist is obviously preoccupied with things technical rather than fish keeping. Each to his own little foibles...
