thanks a lot. this was a great tutorial. ATN should have worked a lot of these things out before release. I had to send my scope back and it sounds as if many others did too. Because of this I have not suggested to friends that they get one. I also have a Burris eliminator which was foolprroof, shoots accurately and I just love. Much preferably to this one.
There has been a lot of issues with scope many comments from people, but i will say ATN tech support has fixed most of them, unfortunately you have to send the scope back to get it fixed. I had a long talk with tech support, find out good info, i will be doing more videos regarding it
The X Sight 5 has been out almost a year now, they have corrected almost every issue, I am on my third scope as of right now i have had zero issues with this scope. I am seeing less and less issues to almost none from comments and posts. Yes this scope had issues, but ATN Tech Support is A+ they will either walk you thru a fix or replace scope.
I highly recommend you call ATN tech support before updating any firmware. Both times there was an update i was informed not to update. If your not having any issues with the scope, i would not update.(my experience) From comments and post it honestly is a 50/50 chance of having issues after updating firmware. Tech Support has been great talking me through several settings. I hope i answered your question.
I just had the SD card fall into the scope. Is it advisable to send it back to ATN or can I just put another one in the slot and leave the other one in the scope body?
That happened to me the first time i went to put sd card i had to send it back, my personal opinion i would send it back because i don't know if it will interfere with any internal parts or cause digital issues.
Make sure WiFi is turned on, on the scope, than go into your phone wifi turn off and than on let it search for nearby wifi signals, your scope WiFi should show up. Did you download Connect 5 app?
Thank you very much for the answer! Yes, I did as you said. After I even rebooted the sight and did it again, but there was also no signal xsight5 for connect. Yes I downloaded ATN Connect 5.
What firmware do you have? I do know some people had the same issue, they had to send it back to ATN, it's an internal problem. I would call ATN Tech Support and explain the problem. Tech Support is great i have had to send back my scope 4 times, i got my scope back within a week. They will fix it or replace it.
Curious if any of you have seen this. brand new scope with version 376 from factory. Lock up all the time. Zero menu would not work at all. Never had the white reticle. Just sat there with the red cross. So no way to zero. Sent it back. Still waiting. I had 5 other scopes, this is the worst release so far. Very disappointing.
Do you mean version 476? We tried to zero our scopes few days ago, the problem we had was trying to make a profile, it did not allow us too, but zeroing work kept zero for 4-5 shots, hopefully it saved. But yes i have had comments with this issue, same thing they had to send it back to ATN
i believe you can use the USB cable that came with the scope to hook up to your phone and update firmware through the app, i will do some research on this , if i find anything i will message you. But give ATN Tech support a call they can tell you your best options.

technically its a 2shot zero, after first shot, you hit a button and it zeros it.

Great video, want this scope to work but all the reviews say the Thor 4 is better choice
The Thor is almost 2x the price, didn't want to spend that much until testing out ATN

Mines just gone back to atn for exactly this problems and it was on ver 476 firmware as i really hope they sort this

it's the X-Sight 5 3x15 LRF, i just checked my scope and box did not see a model #. It is the newest Day / Night digital scope they have.

I don't have a computer. I don't know how to do all this high tech stuff , so who do I get to update my scope. I can't do it.

ATN will update your scope for you & they'll cover the shipping cost... just give them a call like I did and explain your situation
A pretty bold flag for a made in China scope.
The scope is made in the USA most of the parts are made in California, not sure what the flag has to do with the scope
