    Today's video we will be turning right at the yellow box junction. People tend to get so confused when turning right at traffic lights because there does be so much happening. When turning right at the yellow box if we have a green light just treat it like any other right turn. If we get a green filter light or a green arrow we generally proceed if it's safe to do so.
    If we are turning right at the lights and it's in the shape of a T junction, there is no need to slow down too much we should be okay to keep the car moving.

    Theres a junction in blanch on the Ongar road when turning into Hartstown that has 3 regular lights and then a filter light at the bottom. But the filter light never seems to come on. Any advice on what to do and how to know when to wait and when to proceed ?

    What to do if a car is already waiting on the junction box. Do we need to queue up or stand behind white line?
    Thanks

      It depends on how big the junction is don’t stop across a pedestrian crossing or anything

    I got a question. When turning right, if it's a full green, we should proceed to the middle and wait for a chance to turn. But what if there's a forward green arrow (right filter lights off), should we prgress in this situation or we should wait behind the line? Thanks sir.

      @admdrivingschool5033  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Forward arrow means forward only wait behind the line if turning right

    What if the light goes red when you are in the yellow box?

    • @admdrivingschool5033
      @admdrivingschool5033  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      This can happen in your test if the oncoming cars break the amber or red light. Your only job is to get off the junction. You could potentially fail your test because of them but you will definitely fail your test if you wait at the line without moving to the middle

    If you are turning right in a yellow box but you see pedestrians crossing the road from the footpath, should I wait until they get across to start turning or should I turn right but let them cross the road?

    • @admdrivingschool5033
      @admdrivingschool5033  13 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yes let them cross don’t drive at pedestrians in your test

      @@admdrivingschool5033 thanks that’s what I thought. It’s what I did when I was out driving recently and got a beep from behind. Other drivers impatient I’m guessing.

    on the second right turn you went up to the middle but there was no road marking to indicate doing that , so how did you know ?

    • @admdrivingschool5033

      Green circle light up to the middle… watch the video again and listen out for me saying that

      So on all right turns if there’s a green circle I go up to middle ?

    • @symple-pedia8211
      @symple-pedia8211 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes i think so, full green u can stop in the middle, then give right of way for oncoming traffic and turn right, if there's a green arrow other oncoming traffic should have red so u can turn right normally. That's my understanding plz correct me if I'm mistaken

    What’s defensive driving

    • @admdrivingschool5033
      @admdrivingschool5033  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Defensive driving is a set of driving skills that allows you to defend yourself against potential collisions caused by bad drivers, drunk drivers, and unpredictable weather conditions. It aims to reduce the risk of accidents by anticipating dangerous situations, despite adverse conditions or the mistakes of others. Key principles include:
      1. **Awareness:** Constantly being alert and attentive to the road and the vehicles around you.
      2. **Anticipation:** Predicting potential risks by observing the behavior of other road users.
      3. **Safety margins:** Keeping a safe distance from other vehicles, allowing ample time to react if necessary.
      4. **Speed control:** Adjusting your speed to suit the driving conditions.
      5. **Adapting to surroundings:** Modifying driving based on weather conditions, road type, and traffic flow.
      6. **Knowing your vehicle:** Understanding the capabilities and limitations of your car, such as braking distance.
      7. **Avoiding distractions:** Keeping distractions to a minimum, like not using a phone while driving.
      Defensive driving courses are often available and can even lead to insurance discounts in some areas.
