Mate. I just want to know what shoes you wear. It’s so slippery washing roofs down here, that we strap sponges underneath our souls from siding off the roof. 🇦🇺
Yes a bit but we also have a large tile here as well and I am able to do the same thing. Just a bit slower and more missed spots that need to be touched up after.
@@stwanspressurewashing2282 thank you! Also what make and model of surface cleaner do you use on roofs? And do you have the throttle of the pressure washer up all the way?
How long does it usually take to use a surface cleaner on a roof. About 1600sf roof. I have a job coming up that I’m going to use a surface cleaner for the first time a a roof
Well you're gonna start out slow to begin with and if you're not using a 8 gallon per minute washer it's going to be even slower. If it's your first time and you have a 8GPM Id give yourself at least 2 hours up there. You're gonna want to go slow and pay attention.
Try to always have slack on the opposite side of a peak from where you go up at so the weight of the hose keeps it up. I try to keep 100 feet on the roof at all times myself. I try not to tie off on a vent easy way to rip it off. Hope that helps a bit.

Normal shoes from Walmart. Just good balance I guess I get that question a lot.
🎉🚀
The roof tiles in California are usually bigger and more spaced out. Would that make it harder for the surface cleaner to glide along the surface?

A big issue I have is the hose sliding off the roof the whole time I’m trying to work. What do you recommend I do?
