    dude great work and sub'd! Im in California and unfortunately have to soft pressure wash these concrete tiles and 2 hits of 6% SH wont remove the 30 years of dirt. May I ask what pressure you use as I did my own home at about 1800 and it came out great. But I may have to go to 2000. Whats your max pressure used?

    • @stwanspressurewashing2282
      @stwanspressurewashing2282 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks I appreciate it, and ya some jobs are worse than others. My machine runs at 3500 but I lose psi with 200 feet of hose. Using a surface cleaner it basically reduces it in half so the total is about 2800 at the end of the hose and that is divided by 2 so each tip is about 1400 each or so. But ya like 2800 or so but I can adjust it with my throttle down depending on the job. Hope that helps. (Ps it's even lower than that because angled tips the rotation of the bar the fact that the pressure is hitting water and how fast you move, so it's hard to tell exactly how low the pressure that hits the tile is probably like 1000 to 1300). Pretreatment is key otherwise you need to move slower and more pressure to get the same visual results. Also I lightly post treat after, getting the remaining pores cleaned for longevity.

      Yes most everyone who can not surface clean or walk a roof softwash them. Or if that's how they seen or were told how to clean roofs. Most soft washers have never tried surface cleaning but most surface cleaners have tried soft washing. I have been cleaning for about 15 years so I have continued doing it the way I have mastered. Thanks I hope that. helps.

      Well you're gonna start out slow to begin with and if you're not using a 8 gallon per minute washer it's going to be even slower. If it's your first time and you have a 8GPM Id give yourself at least 2 hours up there. You're gonna want to go slow and pay attention.

      Try to always have slack on the opposite side of a peak from where you go up at so the weight of the hose keeps it up. I try to keep 100 feet on the roof at all times myself. I try not to tie off on a vent easy way to rip it off. Hope that helps a bit.

    Does the use of Bleach also remove fungus and Moss from the tile? You probably use a bleach with a 10% concentration of sodium Hypochlorite, but do you dilute the Bleach to 5%, for example, or do you use the bleach with the concentration that comes with it? If you dilute what percentage is it? How many inches is your surface cleaner? Sorry for all this interrogation but these are beginner's questions 😅😅😅

    Watched many of your vids and you do a great job and nice work. I understand you have a 8GPM so do you ever have issues with the pressure getting underneath the tiles causing damage? 99% of the roof cleaners only spray on SH but I like your method better but sure am wondering how much damage you can potentially cause to tile roofs. Let us curious minds know and keep up the great work.

      No pressurized water gets under the tiles, I'm starting from the top and working my way down so the water flows down the tiles. If you were shooting pressure up from the ground towards the faces of the tile then the water has a chance of getting under the tile. When I'm cleaning I always make sure I'm spraying towards the way the tiles are laid so the water will always run down off the tile (like it does when it rains) instead of up towards where the tiles lap over each other. Also please understand that if water (not pressurized) gets under the tile it's not going to hurt the roof because the tiles are not the actual roof, it's just the decorative covering. The roof is the underlayment that's under the tile and it's not water that does the damage if it gets under the tile it's bleach. If bleach gets under the tile that is what turns to salt and corrodes the nails that hold the roof together. I hope that makes sense.

      Hey brotha....just chill! Here are the fact! 1) This cat has been doing this for years and has a good reputation. 2) He's 120lbs with wet clothes on. 3) He knows how to walk on tiles. 4) Those tiles are concrete and will withstand pressure from a surface cleaner or a Lance. And He's only using less than 1200 psi. 5) Exterior cleaners are on roofs everyday taking risks and often the only way to get a roof with stains and Algae removed and rinsed. This dude is legit! Don't hate! And I am sure that if he was breaking tiles he wouldn't be as successful as he is.
