    While such info is not technically blocked by the U.S. media, it's not spreaded by the major media outlets. The new hybrid cars that they just released in 2024 with the DM-i technology have the practical range of over 2000 KM, which is 1250 miles, on a 17.1-gallon tank. That translates to 73 MPH. That's mind boggling.

      In the U.S. Tesla are the most catch on fire EVs
      1. They're mostly the only EVs on the road (being first in mass production in the U.S.)
      2. Tesla uses a battery pack system which create condensed heat
      3. Batteries generate heat hence vulnerable to anything electrical can spark electrical fire. But ICE vehicles fires completely outnumber EVs (flammable fluids, motor heat, electrical sparks / shortages).

    • @AmpedAuto
      @AmpedAuto  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for sharing your perspective. It's true that incidents of vehicles catching fire can occur in both electric vehicles (EVs) and vehicles powered by internal combustion engines (ICE). While it's important to acknowledge that fires can happen in any type of vehicle, it's also crucial to recognize that the concerns surrounding EV fires stem from the relatively new and evolving nature of electric vehicle technology.
      As electric vehicles become more prevalent, it is natural for people to have questions and concerns about their safety. It is essential for automakers to continuously improve and enhance the safety features of EVs, including battery technologies and charging infrastructure, to mitigate any potential risks.
      It's worth noting that the incidence of fires in electric vehicles, while relatively low compared to gasoline-powered vehicles, has garnered significant attention due to the novelty and public interest in EVs. This attention can lead to a greater focus on safety and ongoing improvements in EV technology.
      Ultimately, the goal should be to ensure the highest level of safety in all types of vehicles, whether they are powered by fossil fuels or electricity. As the industry progresses, it's important for manufacturers, regulators, and consumers to work together to address any safety concerns and continue advancing the safety standards of electric vehicles.

      One only has to see the videos of the removal of EVs off of the RORO ship that had a large fire. They pull the EV off and then drop it into a large shipping container full of water which is then covered with a very heavy and special fireproof tarp to contain the toxic fumes. They then let the submerged EV cook for a number of days before they will dare to move it to an open storage yard to allow it to sit separated for an extended period of time to verify that the EV will not reignite again. The gasoline cars have no special handling. This is what the professional do to be safe.

      Thank you for your comment! It's an interesting perspective, and many experts and enthusiasts believe that both BYD and Tesla have the potential to become major players in the automotive industry, particularly in the electric vehicle (EV) sector. While BYD and Tesla are currently competing in terms of sales and market share, their shared focus on advancing the adoption of EVs ultimately aligns them against traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.
      BYD has experienced significant growth in the EV market, particularly in China. Tesla, on the other hand, has established itself as a leading EV manufacturer globally and has been instrumental in popularizing electric cars.
      Both companies have their unique strengths and strategies, and it's possible that they can coexist and thrive as the EV market continues to expand. It's important to note that the automotive industry is vast, and there is room for multiple players to succeed, especially considering the gradual shift away from traditional gasoline-powered vehicles.
