Michael, the JLC Duometre chronograph function you asked about is a Foudroyante, or flashing seconds hand. It's indicating fractions of a second when the chronograph is activated. You're a kid in a candy store and it's fun to watch. Keep it up.

I work for a luxury watch retailer (we also sell JLC) and there's no way our staff would not know every detail of these watches. They go on training courses with each manufacturer just for this purpose.

Anyone who really understands watches knows that the tiffany Nautilus actually damaged tiffanys brand more than it helped it, Patek were so annoyed that tiffany didnt respect its customers enough to sell it direct to the biggest spenders and just gave it to big time celebs that they have now completley distanced themselves from tiffany and will probably cease collabs before long
Collabs? You think you understand how it works. But you don't. Tiffany is a jewelry store. They order a number of watches. Those watches are made to their spec. Patek will fill orders for them for as long as it suits them to do so. It's JUST a boutique specific model. There are MANY of them across many MFG's and Boutiques.
That fast-moving dial at the 6-o'clock mark is a _split seconds hand_ in *one-fifth of a second* increments. They're very common, but they are not usually so large on a watch face. All of my Breitling watches run at one-fifth increments on the _seconds_ sub-dial or the sweep hand.

But today I have to say and thus thank you at the same time, because in this video you have shown that you have a real passion for watches. It was at the moment when the gentleman with the ponytail in the Hawaii shirt was showing you the Patek Tiffany one and you were running your glove through it while he was holding it like it was a $5 trinket. In general, you in this video always treat those watches with something of value that deserves to be thrown away for sure, which is wonderful. Unfortunately, the gentleman with the ponytail was the opposite, it looked like the presentation of the watch didn't even interest him much, he looked nervous, and he was oversleeping...Of course I don't mean to offend anyone with this, it just showed me who has a real passion for watches and who has less of that passion. Producer Michael (in my opinion) is a super cool guy and I love seeing all of his and Adam's watch videos. Having said that, I sweat bullets if I am buying a $500 Aragon watch (they are great for the price) so I'm not close to being in the league that Michael is as far as buying and owning expensive and very elite watches (ie, I'm a pretty middle class, normal guy who could never afford watches such as his). With that, I had to comment on this Tiffany Patek watch. I have seen photos of very wealthy celebrities wearing this teal colored watch and I'm completely blown away that a watch this plain looking and nondescript, could possibly cost what is does. If I saw that watch next to my much more attractive $300 Aragons, I'd normally walk right by that Patek. I don't think I'd ever buy it for $100, judging by looks alone.That this watch costs several million is insane. Michael even questions the value in this video. The so-called value of this watch is absurd in my opinion.
There are so many great independent innovative high horology watchcompanies, I just don´t get why still only these boring, same old same old, companies like Rolex, AP, Patek and RM are mentioned. If I had the money I probably would own a 100 watches before i would buy one of the old, old boring designs you find in the common market. Now we have a Royal Oak with a grey dial, now its mousegrey, now its wall grey and when they are very adventures they might even have a deep stone grey with moondust in it ... just great. And other great news the Nautilus now comes ... wait for it, wait for it in ................................. 40.34 mm, that shows what confidence in such innovations there is ... just great.
