You could see michaels reaction as soon as they said the price, he didn't like it and he clearly doesn't like to be forced into buys. Adam knows that as well. However, I do agree that michael should've insisted on buying the watch when Adam said no thank you, since it's not that much money for Michael.

Exactly..who knows the true depth of their friendship and how much they support each other off camera both emotionally and financially. True, loyal friendships are very hard to find in life but I have a good feeling these gentleman have the recipe. Adam has integrity and honesty beyond reproach and Michael knows this as I suspect Michael doesn't suffer fools or financial parasites!

It is refreshing to see watch dealers that are genuine honest traders, as opposed to the myriad hustlers on the net posing as "experts". The secondary watch market con men have done significant harm to watch collectors and enthusiasts, by artificially inflating prices and causing fake shortages. Thank you Michael and Adam for your consistent reporting and for introducing the "Happy Jewelers" Danny and Gabe Arik. Cheers.
What I love most about this video is Michael buying Adam a watch he wanted. Then Adam telling Michael No and saying he will buy it himeslf. Love to see the generosity and care all around.
Adam is the kinda of guy who can stand with the wealthiest. His humbleness and integrity is felt and appreciated by Michael. The subtext is that he kinda blindsided Michael his ask and Michael went with it. Love these guys
I have no idea who producer Michael is but I really like him and I’ve watched 5 videos in a row. 😂 He’s a whole vibe. He’s honest and straight forward, and clearly very educated on time pieces. I’d love to go watch shopping with him for a day.

I just watched a video talking down on Michael. It bothers me how much energy people put into tearing others down. Look at how good of a heart each person here has. No one took advantage of anyone, even when they could have. I truly enjoyed this, like I always do.

Yeah, definitely the Oyster Perpetual, they’re going retail for less than $20k in the UK (factoring in exchange rates) so trade $18k-$19k max
Adam knows Michael better than most people, and rightfully realized that the forced joke on buying him a watch didn´t sit terribly well with PM.
(which I understand completely).
He even tried to cancel the whole situation by stating he wanted a version HJ did not have....Not Adam´s fault, the HJ guys (which are awesome by the way!) were just having some fun but Adam´s gesture once again amplifies the healthy relationship he has with PM. First off, he is paid to make this channel grow (and quite handsomely I would believe at this point) and secondly I am absolutely convinced Michael has treated him extremely fair/generous - behind the scenes - since the inception of their remarkable (unique?) relationship. One of the most interesting videos they have ever done. Michael’s world leading master negotiating skills on full display and the Happy Jeweler’s guys made it so much fun. You want to go and buy a watch from them just to say hello. The Pasha. Adam was on to something with the comment about the old diving helmet. That also inspired many other designs we love today by many watch makers including the Genta AP Royal Oak design.

In relation to all the money being spent on the watches for Michael, to have bought the one for Adam is a drop in the bucket. A nice way to have shown some gratitude for making these great videos. Plus his loyalty towards Michael. Oh well. He does and has shown his appreciation towards Adam in the past. Some people out there would do nothing extra for Adam.
