+Mini Mini Not really. The inhibitor chip explanation is much more plausible. Had the clones known about order 66 beforehand, the Jedi would have found out before it ever happened. Jedi, especially those on the council, are adept at sensing and reading thoughts. It may not have worked on the high-ranking clones, but a low-level Private? They wouldn't have been able to hide their guilt about the impending executive order. Yoda would have read one of them like a book. With the chips, the clones had no idea that order 66 was even a thing, so none of them were feeling any sort of anxiety or guilt about it, beforehand. This element of surprise is what made it so effective. There was almost zero chance of the Jedi finding out about it. Also important to note that without the inhibitor chip that essentially forces them to carry out order 66, there would likely have been many more clones who would have rebelled and refused to carry out the order - due to their immense respect and admiration for their Jedi commanders who fought alongside them in battle.
it doesn't need remasters, mods have that, however playerbase? I'm sure a remaster would actually attract a lot of attention and keeps the game spinning
Most of all THAT LINE IS FROM THE FUCKING TUTORIAL. It sets the tone immediatly, and it's not even the best of he story. It then slowly gets better and better, more and more ominous, until we reach Knightfall.
Isn't it funny how simple, yet awesome the story of Battlefront 2 is? You get one good voice actor reading lines written by 1 good writer. Mix it with Star Wars music and record appropriate gameplay footage of what the voice actor is talking about, and BOOM! Fucking epic story. Sad how something so simple, so easy to make, yet so brilliant, couldn't be replicated in the new Battlefront, despite the much larger scale and budget it has. There are some things money can't buy. For everything else, there's Battlefront 2
Lol, you know everybody who plays this game is autistic when blatant developer laziness can be somehow construed as meaningful dialogue. People will literally defend every element of this game regardless of how superficial and weak they are.
@@sr3982 The story campaign was actually just added in the last minute so it felt rushed. It wasn't anything on the laziness part. Temuera Morrison's voice acting was really good, and still is. The writing is pretty good, and it still is. Plus if something this simple and done in a very short time of the game's development cycle can wow so many 17 years ago in the minds of thousands of kids and still do to this day, it is considered timeless for what its worth.
@@Ainomato 100% laziness and rushed, boring and repetitive. Simple as that. Neither Morrison's monotonic delivery, nor the three lines of dialogue we get between missions will change that.
"What I remember about the rise of the Empire is... is how quiet it was. During the waning hours of the Clone Wars, the 501st Legion was discreetly transferred back to Coruscant. It was a silent trip. We all knew what was about to happen, what we were about to do. Did we have any doubts? Any private traitorous thoughts? Perhaps, but no one said a word. Not on the flight back to Coruscant, not when Order 66 came down, and not when we marched into the Jedi Temple. Not a word..." This is fucking Golden globe material with an oscar worthy story..
+eddieguererro46 Im so happy SWBF is back, I heard there wont be a story for the campaign but we at least deserve this quality of narrated story telling in between missions. Game is great for being straight to the point so you can get into the game.Dynasty Warriors meets SW, neverending potential, plus there was no DLC for BFII so this franchise has alot of catching up to do. :)
+Justin Davis Not true actually, there was one piece of DLC for the original Xbox Live that gave you two new heroes; Kit Fisto and Asajj Ventress, added four maps from Battlefront 1 being Bespin: Cloud City, Yavin 4: Arena, Rhen Var Harbor and Citadel, and added Hero Assault on Kashyyyk, Coruscant, Mygeeto, Yavin 4: Arena, and Naboo as well as the new maps with Anakin being selectable on the Hero side for Hero Assault on Yavin 4: Arena and adding Hunt Mode to Rhen Var Harbor where it's Wampas vs Rebels.
+eddieguererro46 And thanks to the brilliancy & enlightenment of the good people at Di$ney this great story is no longer canon. But hey at least the Rebels will now use bubble shields & jetpacks in new Battlefront! So that's canon! Fair trade right? Well I was born during the night but not last night!
It's truly embarrassing that a campaign from a game over 10 years old with no actual cutscenes has a FAR more compelling story than the generic crap that DICE churned out in the new game.
No 2nd mission of 7 defection* Its important to denote that. Besides, Disney has made the Empire as incompetent as the FO. Why destroy the only systems that were loyal to your reign? Why take orders from a dead person? Really makes no sense. Thrawn's campaign really should have been in the canon.
@@civilwarfare101 Very sad indeed. And despite it just being a guy narrating over gameplay footage, it actually takes more "risks" by having the entire campaign from a clone's perspective and eventually the Empire's perspective.
@@LordVader1094 Yeah no stupid defecting bullshit here and not only that, but it even filled in some of the lore inconsistecies that the prequels established.
Luke Cause they were fighting for Palps, and waiting for the time when they would kill the Jedi due to the inhibitor chips. Because it’s customary to show HOW it happened, and you can’t just have it done right away at that moment.
The dialogue is brilliant, further moved by a well-organized musical score. It's my favorite part. Honestly this campaign is my favorite Star Wars video game story.
khovland92 I honestly think this was the best depiction of the clones. Non of that clichéd "We didn't kno we were evil gaise" that later representations put out. They knew damn well what they were, and what they would do. And there was either nothing they could do to really stop it, or they agreed. They agreed because it's way they were designed for. That right there is a bloody tragedy.
nentendoboy12 The Felucia bit, the Knightfall bit, and the Yavin IV Orbit bit I think all deserve an award. It's an emotional, yet restrained (which is very hard to pull off).
"Calling us the bravest soldiers she'd ever seen. It was a good thing we were wearing helmets... because none of us could bear to look her in the eye." This line alone is heart wrenching.
Imo, much better than the generic inhibitor chips, eh we're suddenly evil now because of a chip. I love the idea that they were bred to knowingly be double agents.
@@snackeater4990 if you can believe that they've been genetically altered to be more obedient and less independently thinking, and heck, whatever The Bad Batch is doing with the cloning genetics, then why is it hard to believe they were bred to be Sleeper Agents.
The 7 Super Souls I think it's because they heard stories about them but they never saw them up close. When they did, when they saw them rip droids in half and help them out. Well the walking carpets earned some respect.
"It was a silent trip. We all knew what was about to happen, what we were about to do. Did we have any doubts? Any private traitor's thoughts? Perhaps, but no one said a word. Not on the flight to Coruscant. Not when Order 66 came down. And not when we marched to the Jedi temple... Not a word". Whoever wrote this, is a genius.
Most of this I can quote, especially Knightfall. These lines are usually so emotional. Also, the voice gets deeper and more menacing as time goes on, showing aging and a darker, more Imperial tone.
CapColdblood I'd prefer if disney never happened and we could place that it was only after the chips were activated that these thoughts of this clone could've happened. When The Clone wars series came and so did the chips, it just made things even more confusing when you are listening to this. Yet let's be glad the two are separated now well sort of.
Jacob Jimenez I hate the idea of the "chips." Mostly because it takes the blames off the clones and makes the war one-dimensional, which is the exact opposite of what Lucas was trying to show through the prequels. The whole point is that there were no real winners and no good guys to root for, which is often what war is really like (think ww1). There were people on both sides whose plight was understandable and people on both sides who were evil and manipulative seeking power. The clones themselves were essentially just mercenaries, like Battle Droids. They follow orders to the dot, whether they want to or not. They were also genetically modified to be more docile (except for ARC Troopers, Republic Commandos, and certain generals, but most clones were.) Nonetheless, they were still living beings consciously making a wrong decision because from their perspective it really looked like the Jedi were attempting to overthrow the republic and they had been brainwashed and trained only to defend the "republic," no matter how bloated, corrupt, and totalitarian it was.
Karl Hiramanek Look what we know is of the clone wars series and lets be honest here the show did explain alot what other previous attempts (movie and etc) couldn't. Now What you're going on about is of the now legends or old canon. Again when the clone wars came out and the chips it was confusing. Now did the clones know about the order yes, but it was not meant for a large scale massacre as we saw in the movies. Now wouldn't it make more sense that what the clones and jedi had gone through together formed a bond of which would've been too difficult to break and let go/ betray if the order came and they didn't have the chips? Yes in the old canon there was many interesting and great stories of the war yet the involvement of the jedi encouraging the clones to think independently would've been very strong. This would've been so strong that without the chips the clones would've been too resistant to comply with the order. As we've seen in legends and now canon clone wars, the clones were brave, loyal, and had close friendships with their jedi generals. Honestly to me it makes way more sense of them being forced into complying with order 66 instead of doing so without hesitation. The without chip story just threw away the influence and friendship the jedi gave to the clones, it just doesn't seem fitting.
Jacob Jimenez No they wouldn't. Episode 2 already said the clones were genetically modified to be more docile and follow every command. Then on top of that they were essentially brainwashed all their life into believing the Republic is always right. That's more than enough to make them loyal. You don't need chips. Yes, the clones still felt emotional ties to their Jedi commanders. But they did not dare question their orders and risk insubordination. "What I remember about the fall of the Jedi...is how quiet it was. A contingent of the 501st was discreetly transferred back to Coruscant. Did we have any doubts, any private, traitorous thoughts? Maybe. But no one said a word. Not on the ride to Coruscant. Not when we marched into the jedi temple. Not when Order 66 went down. Not a word."
Karl Hiramanek ok look yes the movies said they were docile, and we're modified with beliefs, however what you forget is that what you've stated is no longer canon nor is it true. The part of the clone journal is legends now, the part about them following orders no matter what is false. We've seen clones disobey orders in the clone wars series. Remember Umbara? They were ordered to keep moving even to do so and ignore the clear loss of soldiers that would happen, they went along part way yet they devised their own plan and went along with it even despite the generals opposition. They did so again when it came to taking out the air supplies the umbaran militia was receiving from the sepertists. They did this to avoid any further casualties and showed clear regard for life when it came to lives being at stake. Stop going on old canon, it's now irrelevant, were they modified yes, but they were not completely compliant as we've seen in the clone wars. It makes total sense and if old canon was still canon it would go against the morals that the clones clearly showed in the clone wars series.
"The success of the mission on Mygeeto was something of revelation for the men of the 501st. Suddenly, we realized that the Jedi could be fooled. And if they could be fooled, they could be killed." Damn, the chills.
"Oh-Noooo chips are soooooooo much better the clones didn't want to kill Jedi, this goes against Cody+Obiwan best friendz BFF " this what a typical TCW fanboy would say and what is "canon" now instead of clones being free to follow orders I was glad that all clones were not idiots
@Ethan Schmid the clones weren't evil, they were lied to. They believed the Jedi were a separate political/militaristic faction that threatened the Senate. Order 66 was a contingency order to be executed if the Jedi attacked Palpatine. The clones believed the Jedi revolted and tried to take down the chancellor and therefore the republic
"When the Death Star was destroyed, about half of the 501st Legion was still in the hangar getting into their ships... of those who made it out, another third were caught in the explosion. *I'd fought with some of those men for over 20 years...* " This is what I loved about the story from the original Battlefront II: it really makes you look at things from a different perspective. Up until this point, the destruction of the Death Star was almost always seen as a monumental victory. This storyline, however, makes you pause and wonder... "What about those whose friends were on the Death Star? What must it have felt like for them?" Powerful stuff, made the original Battlefront II phenomenal.
What about all the innocent contractors building the new death stat. They're just men wanting to feed their families and the terrorists killed all of them
@Viktor Samoja they were innocent people working on a massive public works project for the legitimately appointed galactic government. All rebels are terrorist scum . Palpatine was elected and given power through democratic reforms
@Viktor Samoja there were only a few million on alderaan . They knew what kind of scum the rebel terrorists were , but allowed them to occupy the planet. It was a decision that would of saved billions of lives in the long run if it weren't for the religious fundamentalist jedi
+Damian Hawkins Normally, I would just bait the Jedi and lure them into the large open room. Their lightsabers hurt, but they are no stronger or smarter than a trooper with a decent aim.
+Tac Son (Jackie Nam) What you do with Anakin is choke a Jedi out then ignite your lightsaber and stab them in the chest, behead them or slice them in 2
The Kamino Uprising should be brought back into Canon, It just makes too much sense. Perfect explanation as to why clones were gradually replaced in the Stormtroopers.
Rocco Leipold Wat...? Stormtroopers aren't clones. They never were, for the most part. The 501st was one of the few clone groups that remained, it has always been canon that the vast majority of the Empire's troops were recruits, which accounts for the lessening of combat talent in the Empire post-CW.
While I agree the Kamino Uprising should be brought back. The new Disney canon comics did something interesting with the last batch of clone. The clones that were never assigned into a legion before the Empire became Inquisitor troopers. Basically Jedi hunter clone troopers.
Order 66 still gets to me, mainly because that version is retconned. This shows that the clones were still humans and not under heavy chip influence. They KNEW what they were doing and had all the memories of working with their Jedi commanders. Its one of the few tragic and horrifying parts of the story that I actually wish Dave did not change.
did they ever say why they retconned the change? I agree with you, it's so much more powerful and horrifying. I wonder if in this version,t the clones would be controlled through intense propaganda. Why else would they shoot Jedis instead of sparing them? Perhaps they were promised rewards. very chilling and dark what the reality is without control chips.
@@adamsdioramas It's implied the Sith religion may be illegal. And Sith or not Palpatine was still secretly working with the Separatists for over 3 years to bring the Republic down. The Jedi had every right to arrest him.
This campaign, these Journals are exactly how I see the Clone Wars, exactly what I feel about them. These little clips before the hardest campaign missions I've ever played are the largest reason the Clone Wars is my favorite era in Star Wars.
@@plissken94th57 it fits in the show, but morrison fits in everything else, in the new bf2 they have morrisons face but dees voice. is kinda werid considering they dont fit
CT - 7598 I think 15:27-16:15 is the greatest part of the game. Morrison actually makes me feel like I was witness to a terrible war crime and his PTSD. He really makes it convincing.
@@ugiustuskeiserus8066 It actually was pretty unplanned. They decided to add it in last minute, so they threw it together in the last few weeks of development.
What I remember about the rise of Disney, is how quiet is was. During the whaning months of the Clone Wars animated series, Lucasfilm was discreetly transferred back to the studios. It was a silent trip, we all knew what was about to happen, what they were about to do. Did we have any doubts, any private, traitorous thoughts? Perhaps, but nobody listenend. Not on the new board of directors, not when the script got written and not when we marched into the theatres. Not a word.
"It was a silent trip, we all knew what was about to happen. What we were about to do. Did we have any doubts? any private traitorous thoughts? Perhaps, but no one said a word, not on the flight to coruscant, not when order 66 came down and not when we matched into Jedi temple. Not a word." My Favorited quote from Star Wars Battlefront 2!
+Cyantile *it Also, your comma should have come before the "but" in your sentence. If you're going to be a grammar nazi, I would suggest that you make sure your grammar is correct, too.
Bit of revisionist history with the ending but perhaps I can give something for if the campaign had continued to Endor. *501st Journal - Endor Orbit* *Second Chances* "While we had believed that the rebellion had been defeated on Hoth and sent scattering over the galaxy, a straggler group of rebel forces had amassed near Sullest and planned to take out the new Death Star hovering above the forest moon of Endor. Needless to say the men of the 501st weren't exactly eager for a repeat of what happened over Yavin IV despite their increadably low odds but we didn't take any risks plus it was a chance to make up for not protecting the Death Star the first time. So the men of the 501st took to our ships and engaged the rebellion one more time for old time's sake. Even though we felt this was the end, we wanted it to end with a bang." "As we received word that a strike team had begun an attack to destroy the shield generator protecting the Death Star, the 501st tore through enemy fighters in space and landed on the planet. It was time to put this rebellion to bed for good." *501st Journal - Endor* *Our Final Stand* "As we landed on the forest moon, we knew that things had become a mess near the bunker where the generator was located but we didn't expect the natives to put up a fight with such primitive weaponry which caught us all off-guard. Regardless we pressed on and while we didn't know this would be the final stand for the 501st, we were going to make sure it was a memorable battle and finally bring peace to the galaxy ." "As the Death Star exploded from orbit, we realized the battle was over but not initially. As we fought on we slowly realized we were fighting a battle we couldn't win but we made our stand and lost alot of good men on that dark day. I now sit in a rebel cell as I dictate this journal waiting to be tried for my actions. Do we regret what we did? All the atrocities we committed in the name of the emperor? Perhaps some but I don't. This was the story of a legion of men who fought and bled together as one, a group who could make planets quiver in fear and respect at the mention of our name and while history may not look kind upon us and what we did I wouldn't change a thing if I could do it over again and I will always be proud of the men I served with. This was the story...Of the 501st."
Parker Livingston Dice have had a stab at trying to create a good story for their other games, but they're often rubbish and very few people ever actually bother with it. If the development would of gone to Bioware or Visceral, we would've gotten a good story like this for sure.
and I loved the clone's battle speech "Light 'em up and knock 'em down" "I've lost count, how many does that make!" "I guess they never learn, do they?" I loved those lines... they were my favorites...
there has not been a clone story since 2005 were in 2016 yet still they are not being told they are mere forgotten its all ahsoka this ahsoka that there stories should be told when will the clones have there time when will we get a story about there time being stormtroopers till there retired or what there doing during retirement something about them when will they get there turn
I know this campaign is no longer considered canon, but I find it interesting that the Clones seemed to know full well about order 66, and that they knew their prime objective since day 1, look at what he says about Mundi, about how the Jedi could be fooled, and especially Aayla Secura, about how after she saved them all, and called them the bravest soldier's she's ever met, the troopers couldn't bear to look her in the eye, and that they hoped her death came quick and painless when it was her time. I just find that differentiation in canon really interesting.
Sean Mansfield It was always that way up until The Clone Wars changed everything. I personally prefer the old canon as it makes Order 66 much more impactful to the clones and it made for great story explorations. But now that they've decided to make it less mature for the younger audiences who can't bear to see the clones be evil all that possibility for great storytelling and perspective has gone down the crapper.
It was more of a humanizing look at it. They think of the chips as the kid friendly way of approaching the clones betrayal, but really they dehumanized down to a piece of technology. That right there takes away from what the clones were bred to do and be a part of. They knew they’d fight the Jedi one day
this is what DICE obviously doesn't understand a star wars game without a story is no star wars game at all people actually played battlefront 2's story the clone wars is amazing and has lots of really good things it needs to be apart of a new battlefront game don't just start doing the new trilogy stuff
Funny gaming video's The best the new trilogy has a chance to show the perspective of a faceless soldier, but the clone wars gave us insight on the thoughts of each soldier in an entire fucking army
This whole thing is golden, and the Knightfall and Felucia sections obviously deserve all the praise in the world, but what I don't see enough people talking about is the Hoth section. The bittersweet joy and desparation in the narrator's voice, the parallel with the Geonosis section (Complaining about the heat VS accepting the cold) hammering home that over twenty years have passed by this point, and the way you can feel every one of those years as he talks about how it's finally over. Just masterful.
The moment you realize that even though Battlefront 2's graphics weren't the best, it was a much better game then EA's shitty servers, zero space battles, and unbalanced games. God damn it Dice/EA
“It was a good thing we were wearing helmets, because non of us could bear to look her in the eye.” I remember this quote as a 7 year old kid and it made it real to me. It felt so grounded and dark, it was like a distant memory.
These guys strapped a bunch of multiplayer maps to some cutscenes and dialogue and it worked perfectly. Some other guys have made a high-budget campaign with high quality cutscenes and it somehow sucked. *That's odd.*
@@wkbostian7880 PT have hundred layers and all come around for spectacular finale. RotS perfectly portray corruption and fall of the Jedi with their plan to remove democraticly elected Palpatine from office before they even know he is sith. Also show how Jedi have fallen and are not even different from the Siths because both deals in absolutes and both looking for their own interests Writing was excellent and film structure was excellent. Sequence of scenes and developing story was excellent. Acting was also excellent from everyone. Lian Neeson as different Jedi master and rogue in his own way. Ewan Mcgregor as young angry Obi wan who looks down on other spicies to wise master. Ian Mcdiarmid as Palpatine was master of puppets controling everything.. Natalie Portman as young queen who fight for her people and later was senator and among first starting to talk about rebellion. Samuel L Jackson as brooding leader of Jedi Council who was suspicious of everyone fearing loosing power after Jedi becomed generals in Clone War. Everyone was great. Each character was well written having right reason for their actions. Prequel trilogy is great and can stand alone unlike OT movies that never explain anything about universe or anything except that empire rule and rebels fight it. CGI is faaaar better then in moder movies and that can be seen in bluray and flatscreen with surround sound, unique expirience You believe that stone age teddy bears defeated strongest imperial legion like in ep VI? That was comedy. Rebels could when arrive with fleet send soldiers down and that would be realistic while what ep VI done was joke. Ep I made better fight Gungans vs Droids and gungans had chance because they had some technology. How Rebel fleet even survive against Imperial fleet that had more and better ships on their side. And Leia being Skywalkwer was comic and put last minute so that Luke had more to fight for. Entire OT is just comedy repeat destroying death star in IV and Vi, great villians like Boba Fett was never used unlike Jango Fett and his battle strenght vs Obi Wan plus his excellent ship. Prequels: Ep. 1 We saw master student relationship with Obi Wan and Qui Gon What mean to be Jedi and their powers, Corruption in democracy which eventually led to rise of the Siths. Better look at Tatooine and their customs and their way of life Qui Gon gambling. Jedi and Sith and their prime Arrogance of Jedi council about Sith Queen that actually fights for her people Podracers The Chosen One Duel of the Fates Rise of Palpatine Ep. 2 Civil war in Republic. Separatist with leader Count Dooku which is one of best characters in prequels. Palpatine started his scheme to bring close Anakin and Padme to make him that eventuale choose between Jedi and Her making him susceptible to dark side. Palpatine worked on turning Anakin from Ep II asking for him and Obi Wan to protect her knowing how Anakin feels toward Padme.. Also on note that in Ep II Anakin was creepy in his approach toward Padme is easily understood because Anakin as Jedi should never be in position to make advance toward girls because Jedi lives in celibate and he was teen who didn't know better. Jedi is huge numbers. Creation of Clone Army and their first battle where they had many Jedi, control over air with those gunships and Capital ships. Ep. 3 Great space battle at beginning, great swordfight soon after. Palpatine started to pull strings to show that jedi planning something against democracy while he worked on Anakin to show him that he need to look force from all angles if he want to be most powerful to save life of his wife. We realize that clone army was trap because they was created by Sidious and Count Dooku to create conflict and had army loyal to Palpatine/Sidious. Killing of Jedies under cover of their rebellion against Republic Palpatine play with Anakin emotions and leading to moment where he choose between Jedi Order that doesn't trust him and Sidious who claim that can save his wife from death. Anakin chooses side that would I because he had no reason to be loyal to jedies because they don't trust him. While Palpatine put Galaxy under his control in senat, Anakin started to kill potential enemies to bring peace to his new empire. Leading to this Fight on Mustafar where Obi Wan won and didn't kill him because he still was The Chosen One and sooner or later Obi Wan knew that he would destroy Emperor. Before mask he wasnt full on dark side which show that he cried after he killed everyone on Mustafar. He just went on dark side to find way to save Padme from death. After cutting Mace Windu hand he didn't have any other option anyhow. Prequels develop cast and story in remarkable way. Just from beginning how Sidious become Chancelor, his manipulation of senate, both side of war and Anakin and ultimatly leading to Anakin cut hand of Mace Windu to stop him to kill Sidious because Palpatine had knowledge how to save his wife. After being part of killing Windu, Anakin choosed his side and he cannot go back so he accepted, otherwise he would be also killed by Clones and his wife would die certanly. Great story connect prequels, and that is story of rise of Dark Side while story of OT is boring except Vader, Emperor and Luke final clash. Obi Wan from young angry padawan grew to one of the best jedi, Anakin from Teen with long crush toward Padme and having no control of emotion because Jedi teachings that emotions don't exist to great warrior, Padme becomed senator later and among first started to talk about rebelion which can be seen in deleted scenes. Haters like to joke about line I don't like Sand which is not bad as they make it to be because why would Anakin have any good feelings about Tatooine where he was slave. Still he return despite all that sand to try to save his mother. Luke's story was brilliant and I like him very much because of his point of view. He was last real Jedi after Qui Gon that followed what Force told him and not what Yoda and Obi want who told Luke that he must kill Vader. Luke went his own way and redemed his father. Anakin story was darker and was forbidden for him to see if feelings and premonitions that he had about his mother suffering and dying making Jedi guilty for his fall in darkness. Later when he had same premonitions about Padme, he knew that this will come to pass so he acted. Palpatine played him from ep 2 asking for Obi Wan and Anakin to protect Padme from hitman knowing how Anakin feels toward Padme because Palpatine was only one who Anakin consider as father and he told him how he like Padme even before he saw her again in ep 2. Palpatine when he revealed that was Sith lord told Anakin that he can save his wife from dying and when Mace was ready to kill Palpatine, Anakin disarm him, didn't mean to kill him, but Palpatine used oppening and killed Mace and after that Anakin choosed his side because he played part in killing leading member of Jedi council so life he knew was over so he went with side that had possibility to save Padme and Jedi constantly undermined Anakin not giving him recognition he deserved and was obvious that Obi Wan was jealous of Anakin power holding him back. Also love story between Padme and Anakin wasn't bad because we can see how Padme changed toward him when they went alone on Naboo making him jealous, starting to know him better and see how he care for others. When Anakin was in pain of loosing mother and murder entire tribe of Tusken raiders, he was in real pain claiming that he will become more powerful so that can save others from death at same time he was in horrible grief because killing Tuskens although they they were monsters, tortured his mother for month and killed majority of peoples that went search for her. Padme saw that he was good but made bad choice. Only funny part was Anakin aproach to Padme at beginning of Ep 2, but he had crush on her 10 years and Jedi don't teach about that kind of fellings so he was just teen that didn't knew playing cool. And he was slave on Tatooine and later slave to Jedi order while Padme being Queen and later senator also having no relationship as she said that last crush was when she had 12 years. Also in extended scenes this was also mention. So they were both kids falling in love not having prior expirience while their civilization was falling apart around them. As Dooku said in extended editions to Padme and Anakin: Republic cannot be saved. Prequels gave us better story of Fall, they explained universe better and had better action scenes.
Real Star Wars Scenes: Huge clone army at end of ep II Great number of Jedi in ep II Superb lightsaber fights in all three movies Clash of Republic and Separatist fleets in ep III Order 66 Podracers Slave 1 and Jango Fett in action both with blasters and bombs in ep II Story of Darth Plageous etc... Prequels themes: Rise of Siths through corrupt system Faults of Jedi order and their arrogance Real galactic war where no one was underdog Fall of Hero Show universe before the dark times, before the empire All videos that trash prequels usually have huge number of dislikes and Prequel videos are more viewed then OT. There is more and more sites on net saying that prequels become more appriciated and have aged well. What OT had? It had so many flaws that was funny. C-3p0 and R2 adventures in first 30 min of New Hope. Leia leving Death Star knowing that they follow them and didn't show any emotion when her planet was destroyed. Dumb plan of Rebels to enter the trench of Death Star so far from target and not even moving when Vader was behind them. Killing Biggs few moments after we met him. How Han found Luke in wasteland of Hoth. Luke jump to his death after learn that Vader is his Father, Vader chasing Falcon was dumb and only good thing was that they never managed to fix it so was funny. Chewie try to repair C3po and is terrible. Ep VI was worst of all. I barely made through first 30 min. Jabba Palace was dumb and so was Luke plan instead to just enter and choke life from Jabba until he release Han. After that crap things started to look better then Ewoks happened. Only thing that I liked was Vader vs Luke fight and clash of fleets although rebels should loose there because imperial fleet was far far better.? David Stewart and CinemaWins made excellent analiysis of prequels. TPM 7/10 AotC 8/10 RotS 9/10 Disney Soy wars: TFA 4/10 TLJ 1/10 Solo 4/10 Rogue 1 4/10 Rogue 1 would have 5/10 if were epic scenes like in EP I-VI But cast was forgettable and story wasn't needed. Prequels had better shots/ directing, stories/characters, humor, villains, imagery, payoffs, lore, effects, style and world. They added tons while still being familiar, for new and old regular audiences. Brought in new fans in a nice way. They did it well despite raging nerds that overpraised the dated originals that simply cannot stand on its own.? Star Wars from I to VI are not without bad stuffs but epicness of both trilogies outweight few bad moments. But need to mention that OT had many flaws in same area like PT Bad acting or wierd lines that peoples don't say things like that etc... but this is story about galaxy far away where peoples dealing with things that you don't see in movies that happen on earth. So I never mind that because story told is great. Prequels show transformation of Anakin, Rise of empire and Palpatine, fall of jedi. What was Jedi and their powers which we never get in OT what abilities force gives except force choke, force lighting and weak mind control. Shows more of universe and that is thing everyone want because you have entire galactic to explain and explore.
I like how this makes the clones not seem like mindless drones when Order 66 is ordered. Especially that “none of us could look her in the eye” moment...
What I remember about the rise EA....was how sad it was...launching awesome trailers and giving hope for a good battlefront game and finally fix their reputation...when the beta launched tho...hope was still not completely lost but...when the game launched did we have any second thoughts ? Any final financial thoughts ? Maybe...but we didn't say a word.. Not on the way to the store...not when EA killed battlefront.....
play from 7:26 and follow the fall of the Star wars game franchise and the elimination of the old Star war cannons storyline, Disney's rise to power was complete, with it's new contract deal starwars game franchise was under the direct command of EA, equipped with a terrible new story line, games with bugs and microtransactions. Their presence let the entire world know that the days of the old starwars legacy, were well and truly over. They were establishing a new era, an era of greed and.. disappointment.
"General Kenobi and Skywalker took advantage of the opportunity we'd created and rescued the chancellor. Took all the credit too" We salute you brave men of the 501st for your efforts 🤝 #BRINGBACKLUCASARTS
It sadly won’t get an R rating since it is Star Wars especially if it’s under a Disney iron grip but if they ever do make a film about the 501st it must be PG-13 minimum. They were a ferocious and brutal group of warriors who did some of the most craziest shit in the Clone Wars and were able to live throughout the Galactic Civil War.
@@TheAnimationConnoisseurWell, Disney pooled their money to make Deadpool and Wolverine and that was rated R, so a rated R 501st movie could happen in the future.
This entire script is genius and the way Temeura Morrison delivers these lines is incredible and chilling. During the Empire half, you can hear an increasing coldness in his voice, showing a different image of a trooper, now an old, battle-hardened and battle-weary soldier.
This campaign is so damn quotable, my favorite is " i dont remember much of the battle, i guess we won" it really highlights how tired and blinded by rage he was that he aint even notice til it was already over. Badass.
"After the victory at Hoth, the 501st retired from frontline combat, after what should be deemed an adequate service to the Empire. We really were convinced that the rebellion fad had blown over, and that the ever-mounting tension across the galaxy had begun to finally ease itself. I knew some rebel's would've survived Hoth, but I couldn't have ever anticipated their strong number's after such a crippling defeat. The majority had amassed upon the forest moon of Endor, so reports stated. They had persistence, impenetrable persistence, we couldn't have matched as such. It wasn't long until the Emperor ordered his main fleets to the outer stretches of Endor, where they'd slowly close in on the forest moon. What amazed me was he amount of 501st veteran's that reenlisted for this battle. I guess they felt the same way I did, we felt as if we hadn't done our duty, since the rebel threat hadn't deterred; the galaxy was still very much at war. We didn't want to see the empire we'd helped forge over such a period, collapse into nothingness. We were old men by this point, but we still knew how to fight. Unlike these new enlisters, we didn't fight through demanded protocol, we fought off our own backs through our own decisions, we were fuelled by rage and the craving for vengeance. After seeing the loss of so many fellow soldiers and dear friends at the hand of the rebel scum, it would leave me forever indebted to the 501st's past forces not to help finish what We started so many years ago..."
@@NEETKitten yeah I was about to say. Badass sounding narration but the 501st would’ve fucked shit up. The Ewoks were not a force to underestimate as they proved how deadly they were with traps and even modes like Ewok Hunt on BF2 2017 gives us a good idea how they more than likely also carried out night raids against Imperial troops. The 501st were also getting pretty up there in age, Captain Rex at the Battle of Endor was supposedly 74 years old. They busted their asses off for the Empire and as OP mentioned they earned their resignations after their victory at the Battle of Hoth.
it's really crazy how the devs/writers were able to create a properly grounded war story with basically no time, one voice actor with almost no experience in the games industry, and had to make it fit in the star wars universe
"When we arrived on Kashyyyk, things were just as bad as we feared. The Droid had outgunned and and outmaneuvered an outmanned by a five to one margin. What none of us had counted on was the wookies, we all heard the stories of course, but we've never fought next to them, never seen them rip apart a Droid with their bare hands. They were magnificent, even so, it was still a suicide mission, at least it was when Master Yoda arrived. Then it became a battle."
"When the 501st was finally rotated out of Felucia, Ayla Sacura made a point to seeing us off personally, calling us the bravest soldiers she's ever seen. Its a good we were weating helmets, because none of us could bear look her in the eye." My favorite 501st Journal Entry in my opinion
+neozasshi Well 501st were almost empty majority of the Clone stormtroopers were dead due to fast old age. As the story, 501st retired after battle of Hoth,So Endor troopers were enlistees.
+Tuguldur Sooyo some when the first order arrived, the 501st was brought back but as the elite, and open recruitment but had a small percentage of clones, by the second order only 1% were clones and the rest were hunmans and other species
Wait. Both the retired narrator and most of the 501st were in the first produced wave of clone troops. That happened in 32 BBY. Hoth, the supposed last battle the retiree fought in, was in 3 ABY. Wouldn't that make him about 70 clone years old when the Battle of Hoth happened? If the narrator did fight on Hoth or even Yavin IV with the skill we'd seen, well... damn son.
As good as TCW is, I prefer this over canon. That the clones always knew what the end goal was, and it wasn't some mind control thing. I think it also fits better with the failures of the Order.
The clones didn't know what the end goal was other than fighting for their Chancellor. They killed the Jedi because they genuinely believed they had betrayed the Republic. However, they knew about Order 66 because unlike what TCW showed, it was a contingency order known to the Senate.
TBH it can be consolidated. It is to be expected that at least some clones would come to despise Jedi like the rest of galaxy, 501st just hapened to being legion full of them. And that's why they became "Vaders Fist", since they required no brainwashing.
@@odinatra The clones' feelings towards the Jedi really depended on how competent their assigned Jedi general was as a tactician. Those who were under talented generals like Anakin and Obi-Wan tended to respect them. But those who had an inexperienced and weak general tended to resent them because of the massive casualties they suffered. But when Order 66 came, it made little difference because most clones would do anything to protect their government.
I more see the chip as a reassurance that orders will be followed even by those who resist the orders. So for example clone who hated their Jedi commanders knew what they were doing and happy to - it’s just the ones who didn’t want to where the chip takes over.
I feel really sad that most new generation Star Wars fans denounce this game on the basis of graphics without ever playing it and then promptly go back to their EA trash
And they think the Control Chips are a good idea bit in fact clones didn't have them. They just followed any order from the Chancellor without questions.
+CPenha And he didn't even need a cop-out. in the original storyline, Palpatine accused the Jedi of betraying the Republic, which angered the clones and caused them to turn on the Jedi. That alone made sense.
Just hearing this journal from Temuera Morrison for the 501st leading up to *_Revenge of the Sith_* and into the events of the original trilogy just absolutely amazing and even heartbreaking.
"My first day as a member in the 501st, it was hot, it was sandy. Chaotic, nothing at all like the simulations on Kamino of course that's pretty much the way it was for all of us wasn't it? All that breathing all those years of training, it doesn't really prepare you for all the screaming or the blood does it? Frankly, I'm still amazed that we ever made it through the first hour, never mind the first day." "Incredibly, the 501st survived the crucible of Geonosis. Emerging battle harden, and ready for whatever the war would throw at us." "In the waning months of the Clone Wars, the 501st faces missions critical to the agenda of Chancellor Palpatine. When we arrived at the bomb bad ruins of Mygeeto, our Jedi Commander believed we have been sent to take out a Droid energy collector. What Ki-Adi Mundi didn't know, however, that our unit of the 501st was really after an experiment Mygeetian power source that the Chancellor wanted for his super laser. Keeping Mundi in the dark wasn't easy. The Jedi had become increasingly wary of the Chancellor's doings. And we're on the look out for the slightest end of treachery. Just like the rest of them know, he never caught word of what was really going on. Untill it was far too late." "The success of the mission on Mygeeto was something of a revelation, for the men of the 501st. Suddenly, we realized that the Jedi could be fooled, and if they could be fooled, they could be killed."
Knightfall will always be so damn iconic. The somber music reflecting the quiet, impending betrayal. You can almost visualize the Clones exchanging quiet glances as they sat within the transport in silence, knowing what was about to happen, what they were about to do.
"It's a good thing we were wearing helmets, because none of us could bare to look us in the eye." Dang. I don't mind Disney Canon retconing Order 66 with the biochips, but it's moments like this when you remember how it was all premeditated, and they knew what they were doing. Carries way more emotional weight behind it than mind control.
Inhibitor chips are a bit worse though. Imagine being forced to do something AGAINST YOUR WILL by a force you never knew even existed. Just my opinion.
“If they could be fooled they could be killed” Gave me chills. I never payed attention attention to the story when I was younger, but wow did I miss a lot.
Clone Wars 0:00: Geonosis - Attack of the Clones (22 BBY, Zero Hour of the Clone Wars) 0:42: Mygeeto - Amongst the Ruins (19 BBY; all other Clone Wars era missions are set later in the same year) 1:48: Coruscant Orbit - A Desperate Rescue 2:46: Felucia - Heart of Darkness 3:52: Kashyyyk Orbit - First Line of Defense 4:43: Kashyyyk - A Line in the Sand 5:38: Utapau - Underground Ambush 6:34: Coruscant - Nightfall Imperial Interbellum 8:08: Naboo - Imperial Diplomacy (18 BBY) 9:14: Mustafar Orbit - Preventative Measures (between 17 and 12 BBY; same for the next mission) 10:11: Mustafar - Tying Up Loose Ends 11:11: Kamino - Changing of the Guard (12 BBY) Galactic Civil War 12:21: Death Star - Prison Break (sometime prior to 0 BBY) 13:25: Polis Massa - Birth of the Rebellion (0 BBY; same for the next mission) 14:28: Tantive IV - Recovering the Plans 15:22: Yavin IV Orbit - Vader's Fist Strikes Back (some months after the Battle of Yavin, circa 0 ABY; same for the next mission) 16:17: Yavin IV - Revenge of the Empire 17:00: Hoth - Our Finest Hour (3 ABY) Noticeably, there are no Tatooine and Endor missions for the campaign. Of course, their absence isn't that problematic on the big picture of things.
@@MadChristoph Impossible. In case they fan hype for The Bad Batch's endgame is real, then the rebellion happens a bit early in the Disney Alt-universe. Not unlike how the Rz-1 A-Wing was first introduced before Yavin there and not after.
Also gotta love the subtlety, like how his voice gets darker and more menacing- or how the son of the very bounty hunter who was the source of the clones led them into battle.
Would have been so much better if they simply rereleased this game with new EA Battlefront graphics. I mean, it probably couldn't have been as detailed because that would be too expensive, but it could have been upgraded and made into the game we wanted. Instead, they ignored this game and made a whole new game that doesn't feel like Star Wars and is an insult to the Battlefront series. If they were gonna remake a completely new game, it should have resembled other FPS games. Like Halo, that would have been awesome!
You can hear so much in this clone's voice as he recounts the 501's past. Nostalgia, pride, regret, PTSD, anger. These simple cutscenes are some of the most compelling Star Wars lore I've ever experienced, in great part due to the stellar performance of Temuera Morrison. This campaign humanized the clones.
Temuera Morrisons voice is just so perfect. Especially in the Nightfall one. I would honestly love to see this guy voice and audio book if they ever did one like this. Where it's like a big journal entry of a clone trooper or something
“We left as heros, years later, we’d return as conquerors.” “You either die a hero, or live long enough to become a villain.” The emotion in the story is on another level.
Words can’t describe how thankful I am to have had this game in my childhood. I never thought I’d enjoy hearing the inside thoughts and experiences of a clone trooper, whoever wrote these did such a simple yet complex job. Knightfall gets to me, it feels so realistic to the tragedy that took place. What else could they do but not say a word, and carry out what they’re told 😔
this is why battlefront is such a great game : you see star wars through the eyes of the men who actually fought the battles we saw a glimpse of or heard about in the movies , you learn how stormtroopers weren't so bad at aiming what it first seemed like and you learn more about the great 501st clone battalion , how they served after the clone wars , how they still stayed loyal to anakin/darth vader and the empire and you see the movies from a different perspective like when the death star blew up in a new hope and everyone was happy . Now we know that the stormtroopers and mainly the 501st has lost some of the men they fought side by side for nearly 20 years which caused rage within the troops something you could never see in the movies .
"Thought the 501st itself remained pure, the rest of the imperial army gradually became more and more diverse. We never really got used to the new guys." That is not a line that would make it into any game in 2019.
The 7 Super Souls no they were loyal to the empire unlike the various traitors of inferno squad. And they knew the empire was falling apart but they remained loyal.
"How long will it be, General Windu, until we're fighting you?!" ---Twi'lek freedom fighter Cham Syndulla, to Mace Windu after reluctantly agreeing to allow the Republic to establish an ongoing Military presence on Ryloth.
Having played this campaign 3 times, at the end of it you feel as if you went through the same hardships and horrors of war they have. You almost feel that same bond and like you really accomplished something time worthy. What do you feel after playing the 2015 battlefront? LMAO nothing
Cutscenes with narration contextualize missions that are just the multiplayer matches but single player against bots with a mixture of capturing bases, getting whatever mcguffin and occasionally playing as or killing unique characters. Somehow, it's more engaging than playing as some OCs voiced by celebrities while big set pieces explode around you.
"It was a good thing we were wearing helmets, because none of us could bare to look her in the eye."
Makes it sound like it happened in real life man, fuckijg excellent
They always knew about Order 66.
So much better than the stupid chip explanation in canon...
"Because they were looking at her tits." I guess I can't blame them?

Most of all THAT LINE IS FROM THE FUCKING TUTORIAL. It sets the tone immediatly, and it's not even the best of he story.
It then slowly gets better and better, more and more ominous, until we reach Knightfall.

It's truly embarrassing that a campaign from a game over 10 years old with no actual cutscenes has a FAR more compelling story than the generic crap that DICE churned out in the new game.
And furthermore, the entire campaign had you playing as a Clone under the Republic and then the Empire. No stupid defections here.
No 2nd mission of 7 defection*
Its important to denote that.
Besides, Disney has made the Empire as incompetent as the FO. Why destroy the only systems that were loyal to your reign? Why take orders from a dead person? Really makes no sense. Thrawn's campaign really should have been in the canon.
Its embarassing really. A guy narrating over gameplay footage is better than an actual original story set in the SW universe.

Did they proof read the script?
That Felucia bit was nearly worthy of a fucking award.
Completely agree.
nentendoboy12 Yes! Especially the part where they said they couldn't look Aayla in the eyes.
nentendoboy12 The Felucia bit, the Knightfall bit, and the Yavin IV Orbit bit I think all deserve an award. It's an emotional, yet restrained (which is very hard to pull off).

it's interesting how it contrasts with Padme's line from the movie, how "liberty dies witth thunderous applause"
@@blueshit199
From a sheltered politician’s perspective, it was thunderous, for a soldier, eerily quiet
"Oh-Noooo chips are soooooooo much better the clones didn't want to kill Jedi, this goes against Cody+Obiwan best friendz BFF "
this what a typical TCW fanboy would say and what is "canon" now instead of clones being free to follow orders
I was glad that all clones were not idiots
Clone Stormtrooper You must not understand tcw..
It actually explained the Order 66 scene A LOT better.
@@Aenlorrocksinwow I'll take that fucking story over command chips any day
"When the Death Star was destroyed, about half of the 501st Legion was still in the hangar getting into their ships... of those who made it out, another third were caught in the explosion.
They're just men wanting to feed their families and the terrorists killed all of them
Yes, it's amazing.
@Viktor Samoja they were innocent people working on a massive public works project for the legitimately appointed galactic government. All rebels are terrorist scum . Palpatine was elected and given power through democratic reforms
@Viktor Samoja and alderaan got exactly what it deserved
@Viktor Samoja there were only a few million on alderaan . They knew what kind of scum the rebel terrorists were , but allowed them to occupy the planet. It was a decision that would of saved billions of lives in the long run if it weren't for the religious fundamentalist jedi
Bruh that jedi temple mission though hardest thing I've done in my life in a game and I was 8 at that time
Damian Hawkins I almost threw my controller away because of that hardass mission. The Jedi gang bang Anakin real hard.
Yeah I remember being a little kid and losing my shit when you play as Anakin only to have been immediately killed by the jedi
+Damian Hawkins Normally, I would just bait the Jedi and lure them into the large open room. Their lightsabers hurt, but they are no stronger or smarter than a trooper with a decent aim.
Normally I just choose Arc Trooper and put some land mines on the ground.
@@TheUndyingCrystal Hence why he said replaced dumbfuck
While I agree the Kamino Uprising should be brought back. The new Disney canon comics did something interesting with the last batch of clone. The clones that were never assigned into a legion before the Empire became Inquisitor troopers. Basically Jedi hunter clone troopers.
"...we never really got used to the new guys..."
@Arbiter1223
I can’t really blame the 501st I mean, have you the aim the new meat has?
L P EP2 Lama Su stated the clones are bred to be totally obedient. The chips thing from the cartoon is kind of annoying.
@@adamsdioramas It's implied the Sith religion may be illegal. And Sith or not Palpatine was still secretly working with the Separatists for over 3 years to bring the Republic down. The Jedi had every right to arrest him.
I don't care what clone wars says Bly killed Aayla because he knew it was wide spread amd wanted to make sure she didn't suffer.
I like the inhibitor chips. Mostly because it makes you feel sad for both the jedi and clones because they were both victims of the war 😢
This campaign, these Journals are exactly how I see the Clone Wars, exactly what I feel about them. These little clips before the hardest campaign missions I've ever played are the largest reason the Clone Wars is my favorite era in Star Wars.

Not a word.

"Our blood ran hot with dreams of victory, melting the ice that stood in our way."
This is the most poetic star wars game.
the narorration of this video is so vivid it makes it seem like it happened in real life and gives me the chills like it too.
Bit of revisionist history with the ending but perhaps I can give something for if the campaign had continued to Endor.
*501st Journal - Endor Orbit*
*Second Chances*
"While we had believed that the rebellion had been defeated on Hoth and sent scattering over the galaxy, a straggler group of rebel forces had amassed near Sullest and planned to take out the new Death Star hovering above the forest moon of Endor. Even though we felt this was the end, we wanted it to end with a bang."
"As we received word that a strike team had begun an attack to destroy the shield generator protecting the Death Star, the 501st tore through enemy fighters in space and landed on the planet. It was time to put this rebellion to bed for good."
*501st Journal - Endor*
*Our Final Stand*
"As we landed on the forest moon, we knew that things had become a mess near the bunker where the generator was located but we didn't expect the natives to put up a fight with such primitive weaponry which caught us all off-guard. Regardless we pressed on and while we didn't know this would be the final stand for the 501st, we were going to make sure it was a memorable battle and finally bring peace to the galaxy ."
"As the Death Star exploded from orbit, we realized the battle was over but not initially.

I love this campaign... I'm mean I really really love it. It shows that the clones all had personalities and thoughts of their own
I hope DICE add these back (they should) and maybe carry them on when Episode 6 happens.
Crappy Nappy you mean episode 4
No episode 6 because the campaign in Star Wars Bf 2 stopped at Hoth. But we now know that DICE won't make a campaign ;(
Crappy Nappy no DICE would do anything for us. EA is the one who makes the shots though.... :(
Parker Livingston Dice have had a stab at trying to create a good story for their other games, but they're often rubbish and very few people ever actually bother with it. If the development would of gone to Bioware or Visceral, we would've gotten a good story like this for sure.
I loved these journals.

“Suddenly, we realized that the Jedi could be fooled. And if they could be fooled, they could be killed” shit always goes hard
So saddening to see Stormtroopers kill Clones...the Clone Stormtroopers sure have felt sadness and pain for killing their own brothers...
KJ Santos In legend, after a lot of the 501st clones killed them, they were going into a state of depression
Some even defected and became bounty hunters if you read any of Republic Commando books.
Heck, some even helped the Alliance.
Good soldiers always follow orders
Order 66 was already depressing for some of the Clones. Killing their own brethren and taking out their home world would've done them worlds of pain.
Sean Mansfield
It was always that way up until The Clone Wars changed everything.
They knew they’d fight the Jedi one day

it still is not match compared to the old game.
Whoever wrote the script for the journals is amazing. And the way how Temuera Morrison delivered these lines were just as awesome.
And then you get gut-punch with the realization that's it's not over for him or his pals. It's only going to get worse from here.
The moment you realize that even though Battlefront 2's graphics weren't the best, it was a much better game then EA's shitty servers, zero space battles, and unbalanced games. God damn it Dice/EA

Christopher Lee as Dooku preformed elegant diplomatic way of uniting powerful financial players trade federation, techno union, banking clan, commercs guilds, corporate alliance etc... into entity that rival republic forcing republic into war while also getting rid of his master Syfo Dias making clone army in his name using Jango as template to making sure that Sith are in both side and reform republic into empire plus destroying jedi portraying them as traitors so that no one would try to rebuild them.
CGI is faaaar better then in moder movies and that can be seen in bluray and flatscreen with surround sound, unique expirience
You believe that stone age teddy bears defeated strongest imperial legion like in ep VI?

Civil war in Republic.
Ep. 3
Great space battle at beginning, great swordfight soon after.
Killing of Jedies under cover of their rebellion against Republic
Palpatine play with Anakin emotions and leading to moment where he choose between Jedi Order that doesn't trust him and Sidious who claim that can save his wife from death.
As Dooku said in extended editions to Padme and Anakin:

Any final financial thoughts ? Maybe...but we didn't say a word.. Not on the way to the store...not when EA killed battlefront.....
I hope it can return tho...

the fall of the Star wars game franchise and the elimination of the old Star war cannons storyline, Disney's rise to power was complete, with it's new contract deal starwars game franchise was under the direct command of EA, equipped with a terrible new story line, games with bugs and microtransactions. Their presence let the entire world know that the days of the old starwars legacy, were well and truly over. They were establishing a new era, an era of greed and.. disappointment.

Okay hear me out... "501st: A Star Wars Story"
“Shut up and take my money!”
@@TheAnimationConnoisseurWell, Disney pooled their money to make Deadpool and Wolverine and that was rated R, so a rated R 501st movie could happen in the future.
The Knightfall mission gave me chills throughout. Especially when the guy talks about having possible traitor thoughts
I loved the mision on yavin IV. " The death of our brothers shall be repaid in blood."
+Boba Fett Poor soldiers, they lost a lot of men they fought with since the battle of Geonosis on the Death Star..
I'm currently stuck on Yavin IV atm. It's so hectic.

This entire script is genius and the way Temeura Morrison delivers these lines is incredible and chilling. During the Empire half, you can hear an increasing coldness in his voice, showing a different image of a trooper, now an old, battle-hardened and battle-weary soldier.
You can feel the contained agressiveness in the Yavin intro. That last line was majestic.
This campaign is so damn quotable, my favorite is " i dont remember much of the battle, i guess we won" it really highlights how tired and blinded by rage he was that he aint even notice til it was already over. Badass.
I feel like this is misquoting it. Isn't it "i don't remember the fighting. I guess we weren't."
@@sinwithagrin4243what? Its definently "i guess we won". Your suggestion doesn't make any sense

The problem with this is that the Empire would have won if the 501st were on the moon of Endor.
Great bit of writing though.

To be fair, didn’t Morrison voice Jango Fett in the bounty hunter game a few years before?
Not only did he voice but he also did mo cap for the game as well.
A winnable battle!
"When the 501st was finally rotated out of Felucia, Ayla Sacura made a point to seeing us off personally, calling us the bravest soldiers she's ever seen. Its a good we were weating helmets, because none of us could bear look her in the eye."

Too bad there was no hidden final journal entry where he's exasperated over how they were all wiped out by Ewoks.

What if the 501st legion was just the exception, after all these are the best and loyal troops.
I feel really sad that most new generation Star Wars fans denounce this game on the basis of graphics without ever playing it and then promptly go back to their EA trash
And they think the Control Chips are a good idea bit in fact clones didn't have them. They just followed any order from the Chancellor without questions.
I love playing both m8. Once I get my controls set up, I'll be playing this game in no time
I don't think I've ever seen even the youngest, most die-hard Disney/EA fan rag on this game, that's how good it is.
@Pferd Schild Look at the comments of any review of this game. You'll see dumb kids bashing it.
Why the fuck did they ditch this storyline in the new cannon?
***** The CW TV series basically terminated this plot. I mean like WTF! 501st journal is perfect! And actually makes sense.
***** I would rather have the 501st journal canon than the chip plot in the CW...
***** Yes. I totally agree... I liked the clone wars tv show but some things i think they shouldn't have changed.
+CPenha And he didn't even need a cop-out. in the original storyline, Palpatine accused the Jedi of betraying the Republic, which angered the clones and caused them to turn on the Jedi. That alone made sense.
One thing that drives me insane about TCW, is how cheap the portrayal of the clones is. In TCW the droids literally shoot better than the clones.
Frankly, I'm still amazed that we ever made it through the first hour, never mind the first day."
"Incredibly, the 501st survived the crucible of Geonosis. Emerging battle harden, and ready for whatever the war would throw at us."
"In the waning months of the Clone Wars, the 501st faces missions critical to the agenda of Chancellor Palpatine. Untill it was far too late."
"The success of the mission on Mygeeto was something of a revelation, for the men of the 501st.

"It's a good thing we were wearing helmets, because none of us could bare to look us in the eye."
Dang.
Vizaloron Maybe for the clones personally, but as far as the overall narrative I think it all being planned was even more tragic imo.

Better than the Sequel Trilogy
Would have been so much better if they simply rereleased this game with new EA Battlefront graphics. I mean, it probably couldn't have been as detailed because that would be too expensive, but it could have been upgraded and made into the game we wanted. Instead, they ignored this game and made a whole new game that doesn't feel like Star Wars and is an insult to the Battlefront series. If they were gonna remake a completely new game, it should have resembled other FPS games. Like Halo, that would have been awesome!
EA Games, killing everything.
TheHero136 for me it definetily feels like star wars. but it is a far cry from a battlefront.

I always find that the Order 66, Kamino and destruction of the Death Star cutscenes to be the saddest.
Temuera Morrisons voice is just so perfect. Especially in the Nightfall one. I would honestly love to see this guy voice and audio book if they ever did one like this. Where it's like a big journal entry of a clone trooper or something
Great... Now we gotta come back to this video after each mission. Way to go Aspyr.
“We left as heros, years later, we’d return as conquerors.”
“You either die a hero, or live long enough to become a villain.”
The emotion in the story is on another level.
And people say Temuera can’t show enough emotion in his clones to make distinct personalities when he didn’t even get a real chance outside of this
Words can’t describe how thankful I am to have had this game in my childhood. I never thought I’d enjoy hearing the inside thoughts and experiences of a clone trooper, whoever wrote these did such a simple yet complex job. Knightfall gets to me, it feels so realistic to the tragedy that took place. What else could they do but not say a word, and carry out what they’re told 😔
this is why battlefront is such a great game : you see star wars through the eyes of the men who actually fought the battles we saw a glimpse of or heard about in the movies ,
you learn how stormtroopers weren't so bad at aiming what it first seemed like
and you learn more about the great 501st clone battalion , how they served after the clone wars , how they still stayed loyal to anakin/darth vader and the empire and you see the movies from a different perspective like when the death star blew up in a new hope and everyone was happy . Now we know that the stormtroopers and mainly the 501st has lost some of the men they fought side by side for nearly 20 years which caused rage within the troops something you could never see in the movies .
"Thought the 501st itself remained pure, the rest of the imperial army gradually became more and more diverse. We never really got used to the new guys."
