I checked Nelson’s, Robbin’s, and Ferri’s…All of them say X-linked without specifying dominant or recessive. Robbins says: “In the X-linked form, males express the full syndrome, while female heterozygotes typically present with hematuria.” In my opinion, this sounds more like x-linked recessive.
@@MedicosisPerfectionalis I found it in Mrcp materials of BMJ, WHERE THEY STATE IT X LINKED DOMINANT IN 85% OF PTs and autosomal recessive in 15% and autosomal dominant in less than 1%
2:43 so you can get very wrong results for say one disease diagnosis like alport that relies on hematuria to get you on medication, when in actuality it was just hemoglobin from a different disease like sickle cell. 9:42 really must suck to be a doctor having to remember all these differential diagnosis of unrelated diseases like a lexicon
