Welcome to the less than 800 in North America club! That's how rare the "RS" is. Make sure power door locks install is on your list of things to fix. They are a must. Be very careful cleaning the passenger side mirror, if you move it, it's a NIGHTMARE to readjust by yourself.

The car always puts a smile on my face with every drive. I like the “wingless” look too ,all the ones I’ve come across have always been beastly fast lol. It’s funny how my neighbors kids say I own a “fast and furious “ car. Drive safe homie and enjoy that 4 door exotic killer 🙏🏼
Honestly same plan as every other car I've owned so far. Learn the chassis, work on it a bunch and just drive and track the heck out of it! After a month or so I decide if it's worth keeping a little longer or trade for something else on my bucket list
So far did compression test and leakdown. Compression is really good but leakdown reveals cylinder 1 may have a sticky intake valve. I changed out plugs, coils and wires and still getting some misfire

Yeapp, thats my old Evo. Seller on cars and bids scammed me and sold me a car with engine failure. All the valves were shot and the crank bearings were all being chewed up. Sold the car to that dealer/shop and they rebuilt the whole motor. I took a huge L
@BuyYourBuild I hate to bring this up, I inquired about the car and they said they rebuilt the head but nothing about the bottom end. You think there was an issue with the bottom end? Thanks for your time.
@@joshmiko2351 they rebuilt the head but after picking it up, I sent it back and they discovered it needed a new bottom end. That’s why I cut my losses and let them rebuild the car. I’m sure it 100% now

That check engine light might be a knock light. Tephra mod on the ECU allowed the check engine light to be used as a knock light.
Definitely that’s how mine is set up , it will flash if you have knock counts

Clean!! Check engine might be the display for engine knock. Should get the tune looked at and thoroughly look through the settings.

maybe that flashing check engin light is knock detection?
Yes it is, and Im leaning towards the exhaust leak and missing hardware causing the knock detection

USDM Evo 8/9 RS didn't have the option of Brembos like the real JDM Evo RS! only way to not run them was to have 15in steel rims
