In Greece, when we have to do with sport bikes, we have an expression "se vazei sthn priza" which translates in something like "it plugs you in" - where plug means electricity! But you said perfectly : it does not promote aggressive riding. Being a rider who finds it challenging to control my right wrist - independently of the vehicle, my R. E classic 350 not only tames it perfectly. It makes me actually enjoy this type of riding, never and I mean never puts me to test it's revving potential or brakes or cornering - it doesn't have much... All of that as my dollar (pound?) for anyone of the viewers who may find Freddie's description overly enthusiastic. It's just 101% accurate - IF you are willing to live with this kind of bike and maybe you own one more for other use. Finally, huge congratulations for the content, charismatic presentation. Please keep up!

Triumph can't even find one gasket for your bike in months, but Royal Enfield can find you a whole bike at last minute. I think if you checked your horoscope it'd say a gorgeous Indian is in your future..

I run a Fiat 500 1.2 Lounge and a Royal Enfield Continental GT 650.
Both have put some real enjoyment back into being on the road.
Is the road tax more on the GT than on the Fiat

Triumph have really pissed on their chips with this gasket debacle! I don't think they realise how influential videos like yours can be, in terms of getting/losing potential customers. As I said in a previous comment on your channel, I've been a big fan of Triumph for a long time (I've been riding for 40 years next Tuesday!), but I would now seriously reconsider buying one. All because they can't even get something as ridiculously basic & simple as a gasket sorted out! It's not exactly NASA or DARPA, is it?!
Well done the both off you for reaching 100k. I refuse to buy a TV licence so I watch a load of content on TH-cam and you are certainly my favourite with this channel and Tuesday at Dobbs. Keep up the good work.
With regards to the Royal Enfield and some other bikes that you have discussed, you nearly always say that you wouldn't like any more power, which is perfectly understandable if you are just cruising about enjoying the ride and the scenery but my question is, which relates to when I was riding today. I nearly always stick to good country B roads that you can ride reasonably fast but are invariably twisty and therefore if you come up behind a car, it makes it all the more difficult to overtake. Of course you have got to live and let live to all road users and their speeds but a lot of those cars are Sunday drivers who are sometimes doing 30-40mph on a 60mph road. So in essence, how much power do you need to get past slow drivers, so in order your ride out on your favourite stretch of road isn't ruined because you can't get past them and are stuck doing 30mph for the next 5-10 miles.

I've been using that quadlock mirror mount for a while now and it's very handy ! Especially as the classic 350 has its usb port on the switchgear housing !
Do yourself a favour and buy the bike , you love it so why not ? .....bet you can get gaskets for them ! 😂

I’m with you on the chrome red and halcyon grey as most desirable colour options - I think the flat colours are better suited to the style of the bike, the metallics are lovely but don’t quite sit right for me. I get what you’re saying, it was the first time I felt fear for Freddie’s safety, especially on his return the Boneville broke down. That could have been quite dangerous in the middle of Morocco. But alls well that ends well.
Thanks Gordon! I was ridiculously lucky that the Bonneville only broke down three miles from home, otherwise I’m certain I’d have had to just give it to a Moroccan family and fly home😆
My Renault has no AC and it’s like a Time Machine taking me back to the 70’s where the best thing you got was a blast of hot air from the cooling system. Don’t get me started on the trauma of wearing shorts with all that vinyl seat coverings they fitted back then !😂
The concept of the original Fiat 500 was a cheap basic economical no frills car . The air con system works by opening the windows & sticking your head out in the wind . No air con system needed on an RE classic 350 .👍

Just buy the classic 350 already! Put your money where your mouth is, you won't regret it. Even as a second bike for city riding it makes total sense. I own a 500 myself but am thinking of trading it for a 350. Congrats on the 100k, well deserved.

Nice, I learned to ride on a 350 in Bombay, gears and brakes were the other way around though and it had a 'Neutraliser' kick shift and a kick start, have always loved them and one day...............riding a GS Adventure now

Imagine if RE had lent you the Meteor 350 instead of the Classic. I may not have bought my Classic 350 the other day. Pulled the trigger after watching your recent vids with the Classic. Thanks man.
This video captured exactly my experience earlier this year. I have a 2019 Triumph Speedtwin, which I love and will never sell. I also am lucky enough to have a 2005 Honda VFR as well. But in May, I was fortunate to get promoted and a pay rise - I did something I’ve never ever done. I woke one Saturday, saw a 300 mile one owner Classic 350 in red / chrome for sale less than an hour away. Told my partner I’d be out for a couple of hours. Went and bought it without a test ride. Best decision! It’s an amazing machine - now has 1300 miles on it. And it does exactly what you say - slows down your riding, allows you to enjoy the surroundings, transports you back 60 years to how I imagine motorcycling for the masses was like, and is one of the best bikes I’ve ever owned.
Freddie, keep the Bonnie, but buy a classic 350 as well - you won’t regret it!!

That’s twice today I’ve spotted a TR (1st a TR2 in the flesh and then on a trailer in this video). I had a “semi-restored” TR2 back in the late 60’s - based in London, I drove it all over (South Coast, Devon, Cornwall and the Lake District). I loved that “old beast” - wish I still had it. Test rode a 350 Classic last week and would be seriously considering it if I didn’t enjoy my Himalayan so much. I have a Classic 350 and Meteor 650 and live very near Southwold. My Classic is mainly used for touring beautiful East Anglia, although it has been to Penzance, and the NC 500 twice, the Meteor is currently with me at work in Oxford and has been to the Arctic Circle and down to Southern Italy. Both are brilliant bikes, but with the Classic 650 in the pipeline I may be in the difficult position of justifying another bike, or if it’s as good in handling terms as the Classic having some space in the garage. But the real struggle would be saying goodbye to the Classic 350, the best bike I’ve ever owned.

Congratulation on the 100 k. I feer your pain regarding not having aircondition in your Fiat. As I turned into 40, I drow with my Fiat Panda 1.1 2009 among other countries down to Albania and that summer it was quite of hot summer. So i created my own watercondition. I just bought a bottle of Cold water 1.5 Liter and poored it over my body. 10 mins later, I was all dried up. You should try it out. Watercondition is a wonderful thing. Regarding the classic 350, I think RE should have gone for 500 cc instead of the 350. Same spec as the old 500 cc would been fine. Perhaps RE will correct their misstake?
Air conditioning in a car in Europe? Open the windows. Good news on the 350. 3:56 That Triumph is a stunner. You'll end up wanting a Classic 350. 7:40 Nice jacket. I'd rather like a Scram 411.

congratulations on the award. The 350 Classic is a great bike to ride bar extended motorway runs as expected. I have an old 250cc BSA although I don't ride it that much, not because its slow, more because the brakes were ok in the 1950's but not in todays modern traffic ( and idiot drivers ). With the 350 Classic you get modern brakes and the classic looks.

QuadLock do some great things and I've found the wing mirror mount fits perfectly on the little cross bar of my RE Interceptor's handlebar.

Quick question- I would be curious to see your watch collection. This isn’t a loaded question…I like watches and don’t have the worlds most renown brands, far from it; I prefer to wear the mission impossible DW-290 Casio most often. It’s all about preference. But, I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on watches (automatic and/or digital) that can best resist the rigors of the open road
