  • They are finally here!!! Stuck Up Pigs have finally been revealed, and we are so happy to show you how you can use them in your art!
    There are a few things to note before purchasing these piggies!
    - They are NOT part of the This Little Piggy line! They are a totally separate product called Stuck Up Pigs (SUP) and they are priced totally different
    - They are expensive... like sell your kidneys expensive! BUT! They are totally worth it if you want to use the only full chrome super colour shifting chameleon pigments designed specifically for fluid art!
    - They shift through multiple colours and each combination is totally unique with a mirror finish
    - They have an intense pigment load, meaning a tiny amount goes a long way! I have mixed 2.5g into 8oz of paint!
    - They may look different mixed up into a milky pouring medium, and this is normal. As long as your pouring medium dries clear, they will put on a show!
    - Use them over black or dark colours in paint or resin for best results.
    - Dry brushing resin moulds is a better colouring method than mixing into resin with these. Use black coloured resin to fill your moulds for best results.
    - SUP will be available for purchase from Fluid-art.co on October 20/21 depending on where you are in the world.
    Release times are as follows:
    Washington, USA - Thursday 20 October @3pm
    Sydney, Australia - Friday 21 October @9am
    Manchester, UK - Thursday 20 October @11pm
    Toronto, Canada - Thursday 20 October @6pm

      @@rainandpours right now my quilter takes up 5 feet by 12 feet!! Can you imagine the space I’m going to have. For now I’ve put wood flooring on top of my quilter and let them cure that way. It’s at an angle so I have them drying overnight in my little studio. I’ve been thinking of getting 2 of the shorter ones. Whether I use the sheet pans of build shelf’s, if I space them out right I can still use my flooring between them for even more space!! I’m so excited for all this to happen

    Loved watching the new pigments SUP WOW I think I bought similar ones from Solar Co Mmmm can’t remember the name now, but the colors shifted a few colors like that, not as dark though from what I remember! Loved the demonstration, looking forward to seeing more !

    • @rainandpours
      @rainandpours  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Solarcolordust is where you are thinking of! I can guarantee that none of their pigments shift through all of the colours these do. For example their black to red line only shifts from black to red, or black to orange. Pompous goes through ALL of them haha! I have chameleons from 6 or 7 different brands now, and these are just a next level in terms of the finish on them. So much more shiny and like a mirror!

    • @rainandpours
      @rainandpours  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmm interesting question! I've never used them myself so I have no idea what that medium is or how to use it. I have seen that it's like wax though. What I would say is to figure out if you can mix regular pigment in first such as TLP (or even cheapies from Amazon if you don't want to waste those) and see if they react in the wax. If everything dries nice and clear I don't see why you couldn't use them :)

  • @user-uq2fd3vq3u
    @user-uq2fd3vq3u 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Enjoyed your video! I am wondering what the powder to medium ratio is? The video didn’t show the ratio of how much to use of the SUP with the Tri-Art Glass. I am planning to use in a classic bloom painting. I already have this expensive product at home and want to use it as efficiently as possible. Thanks!!

    • @rainandpours
      @rainandpours  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey there! There really is no ratio, just mix a little in at a time and take note that the SUP's may be a little grey or dull looking mixed into pouring medium, but will dry super shifty if the medium dries clear.

    Looking so forward to it quick question.. can you use it to make blooms if you use limited colors and would you make it the same way with young tinted base paint and the varnish You said pouring medium but I wasn't sure if that was for pouring or for blooms sorry I'm a little slow lol

    Can you use resin pigment powders in pouring paint?

    • @rainandpours
      @rainandpours  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can try, though resin pigments tend to be a little more coarse than those designed for fluid art such as TLP's and SUP's.

    • @robandhisresin13
      @robandhisresin13 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rainandpours thanks for that. I tried mixing mica powder with my pouring medium and it turned out exactly how you described. It wouldn’t mix properly.🤷🏻‍♂️😁

    • @robandhisresin13
      @robandhisresin13 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Rain & Pours I’ve discovered that you can use resin mica powders for fluid painting if you strain it through some stockings. It does still have some sheen when it dries but not to the extent it does when used in resin.😎

    So why do they need to be mixed different then piggies?

    • @CherylForwood
      @CherylForwood ปีที่แล้ว

      He said it's the chrome in the pigment

    • @rainandpours
      @rainandpours  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You mix them exactly the same, but you only use half as much. Because they are such a small particulate, but also because of the way the chroming agents work, they wont colour your pouring medium to their full saturation. However, when you use them, you use the teeniest tiniest bit to get a full blown colour shift effect. I've got some bloom videos tucked away somewhere which I'll get to editing and you'll be able to better see then.
