    Great demonstration! Just a side note, you mixed .25 gr of pigments. In the 8 minutes into the video you mentioned 2.5 gr! Beautiful colors❤

    • @rainandpours
      @rainandpours  ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct, I used less than .5gram pigment in this video, however I mention that in the past I have mixed 2.5g into 8oz of paint. I didn't mix up 8oz in this one :)

    Fabulous tutorial Mitch! Question-I noticed you didn’t use a dollop of tube paint under your CA; do the SUPs not need it? It was tough to tell how crisp the cells were. Many thanks, and damn they are gorgeous!! ❤

    • @rainandpours
      @rainandpours  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Keen eyes there! I wanted the SUP's to really shine and show them just on their own. The cells are indeed very crisp in person and you would know how impossible it is to show their true awesomeness on camera!

  • @praschclan6692
    @praschclan6692 ปีที่แล้ว

    Another informative video - thank you for all the details!
    Can you explain the difference / benefit of adding paint / pigments on top of the CA on the palette knife?

    • @rainandpours
      @rainandpours  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Think about it: when you layer the swipe tool with CA/Paint, you have to do everything in reverse, so when you flip it over the CA will be on the top. The reason I add the colour to the swipe tool is so that is spreads just as evenly as the CA does, and this aids in creating cells that are ringed with a certain colour. In this case the SUP are spread evenly throughout the entire swipe, where if I had layered them with the other colours there's a chance of swiping them away completely.

    These are really neat pigments for sure. A question: Many people who do blooms say you should let them dry 3 weeks. But you don't have a problem with resining after two days?

    • @rainandpours
      @rainandpours  ปีที่แล้ว

      These tiles are for demonstration only and I would never resin anything I intended to sell or use so soon after drying. I definitely wait at least 7 days before resining my tiles and at least 3 weeks for anything larger :)

  • @cindylu3037
    @cindylu3037 ปีที่แล้ว

    So did I understand that you added resin after only 2-3 days??

    • @rainandpours
      @rainandpours  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Less! The day they were totally dry I added the resin. Of course that was just for this demonstration and I'm not expecting to sell these, they'll be my personal stash :)
