This is as always Robert amazing content. I do 3d printing, and orientation is also super important in that field as well. For pretty much the same reasons. I've wanted to do resin casting for a while and I picked up a little $5 kit when I was out shopping recently, it has some 2 part resin and simple premade molds, and it actually worked, I was so pleased! I thought for sure it wouldn't, it seemed super suspect since it was so cheap. I'm so excited to eventually try making my own molds, I'll definitely be following your advice / videos for it.
I always love your videos, and these color paper illustrations are great! I have something I've wrestled with that I would love to see you do a video on at some point... If you have multiple sprues at different depths, is it still okay/possible to do a one-cut mold? When I have done this, I always have trouble removing the resin from the sprue channels and figuring out how to cut those appropriately.
I was thinking a lot about SLA printing when I was watching this. I wonder what parallels there are between making printing supports and vents/sprues. Obviously, with the printer you have to deal with the suction and peel forces, whereas for casting it's all in compression. But you're still dealing with fluid dynamics, so breaking sharp edges does double duty.
You may get this a lot but where do you get the tools and supplies when you make the vents for the models, wax etc? Thank you for teaching me news ways to mold.

Hello I have seen your videos and I have a question. How do you resin cast the shape like boots? I have a doll boots (like a GI Joe Boots) that I would like to replicate but I haven't figured out how to do it. The boots inside is hollow so that the doll can actually wear it. I have see your hollow casting but that seem too overkill for small parts like that. Any ideas? Thank you!😀
Hi Robert, I have a question regarding this video. I have poured resin in multiple pours like you describe but you can see the lines on the cast where the different pours meet. Is there a way to prevent these lines?
The simulation of resin pouring was really nice. Visualized the process perfectly.

Roto-cast. Robert's got a bunch of videos on doing that.
That's a fairly loaded question for this channel (there's a multi-part series you can find). You can try slush or roto casting, but it won't be easy
