Maybe you should send Crafsman some free products??? 😊. I know I will be buying your products from now on. If I want to copy a shape to make a mold of pretty 3D plaques which products should I use? I want to put it on the headboard of a bed.
Smooth On. I had never heard of your products until the CrafsMan featured them. (Aka free advertising) It would be great if you could send him a variety of your products to experiment with.
Hey Crafsman, As someone who works in the epoxy field I could give you some tips to help you while using epoxies/ silicones/ urethanes. If you spray some mold release in your container and pull a little edge back you can blow some air between the container and the mold and pop it right out and reuse your container. This can work with things you have in a mold as well sometimes. When i do it i use the needle end people use to inflate basketballs to get the air in tight spots. When trying to determine the amount of "epoxy" you need you can quickly and easily measure volume by pouring water in and filling your mold, then pour it out into a measuring cup and you know that if you have 1 cup of water to fill the mold then you need 1/2 cup A and 1/2 cup B when measuring by volume. Just be sure to add a little extra for the residual stuck in your cup from your mix. Temperature and humidity affect the cure time of a lot of these 2 part systems. Typically the warmer and more humid the faster they react. Some of these systems are vastly accelerated with moisture. You can tint epoxy systems with expensive dyes or pigments, but truth is if you have a clear or white epoxy system you can use most anything to get interesting colors. For some ideas you can check out Peter Brown on the youtubes. I sent him a bunch of pigments some years ago and he still is using some, but he has a great video from somewhat recently using all sorts of things to pigment his resin. I hope this message finds you well, and keep making these great videos. If you ever have questions about epoxy type things feel free to drop me a line. I don't mind helping out if i can.
Outstanding, Ian! I appreciate this so much. Makes complete sense to use mold release to reuse the container. Those Ace hardware ones aren't cheap, so this will help. :D And that's an absolutely simple but powerful way to know how much resin to use to fill a mold! Just be sure it's good and dry before pouring, and you're set. I like it! Man, thank you, as always!
I make my own silicone molds for soap making. I just do the math for volume. For my rounds, I use PVC pipe with flat caps, and washed Pringles containers. Lol I personally think the cups are very intelligent. For my squares, I make a box out of scrap wood I have laying around, or, out of cheap corrugated plastic, like an uncolored, white yard sale sign, sealed with packing tape. I don't use any type of releasing agent. I've never had any sticking issues. I line my mold containers with freezer paper, wax side in, toward the silicone. I just pull the paper. It slides right out. I don't color my molds anymore, but, I have in the past. I decided not to spend more money on the molds than I needed to. The color of the mold has no bearing on it's functionality. If you don't sell the molds, why spend more money on making them.?.?
Filminger just perfectly expressed the emotion I was feeling but couldn't identify. It's like, even if I didn't have any interest in what your content was, I feel like I would still watch it. It's extraordinarily hard to find videos that adequately educate beginners without making them feel like idiots, provide substance and pointers for your intermediates, all while not boring your experts to the point of seeking out the back button. But every now and again, as mentioned above, something special happens. Non-aggressive, casually hilarious, thoroughly informative... Yeah, I'll be back. I have been watching videos on TH-cam for a decade and have never subscribed or liked anything until today. Thanks for making this channel; this is what I didn’t know I needed in my life.
I discovered this channel yesterday. I AM BLOWN AWAY! WOW. This is unbelievable, that's the type of content I wanted. I always wanted to make my own figures. And it's so peaceful to watch. Thank you
So far in years of watching how to crafts on youtube, yours is BY FAR the most entertaining and instructive. I have used polyeurathane before and that flappy tab you ripped off the mold had me in stitches, your brain works as mine does. be proud and be free (range chicken) mr Crafstman steady crafter.. what do we call ya for short? craftmayn? You're a lifesaver! I just called the smooth on around the corner from me. I never knew what they did. They said there are technicians there that can also help me with my project ... thanks so much for this video I've been trying out a way to make figurines for days.
Don’t think you’ll see this but I’m currently working on making toys for a project here and have no idea what I’m doing but this video or and the previous one are so helpful. Definitely going to use those same products because that looks pretty straightforward on how to use them
I love the very calm tutorial, it’s like the Craftman is working a two in the morning and doesn’t want to wake anyone…but I hear birds so maybe he’s just very soothing to watch!
I love how you used the glue bottle and tape for the mold! Alot of people don't think about that. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of your creations!!
It was one of those last-minute decisions that, from now on, will be something I do standard. :D Isn't it neat when things work out like that? Thank you for watching!
I love this man, I love you designs. I love your attitude, I love your voice, I love your vernacular. I wish you had your own crafting show, I'd watch it every. single. DAY. Keep doing this amazing content sir
I can't wait to purchase a free range chicken. I don't eat meat so anything poking fun at free range is perfect. Do you know how much you're going to sell them for?@@TheCrafsMan
Just found your channel yesterday with Pt. 1 of this video. As an Illustrator looking to make my own toys, this is incredibly helpful and inspiring. Love your sense of humor man, keep killin' it with such great content!
I’ve done the same exact mold process as what you just did when I was working as dental technician. I always knew it was possible to use the material to make molds of toys. Your video proves it.
I love your videos. When I have a bad day I just watch your videos and immediately I feel better from the things you teach me how to do😁. And thanks especially for this video and the previous ones, I should try to make these as Christmas gifts for my cousins.

Hey Crafsman, I don't do much crafting but I always watch your videos, They are just so doggone relaxing. and your subtle humor is is the icing on the cake. Thanks for the time you put into your work...
I am SOOO grateful to the universe for letting me discover your channel. It came exactly at the right time in my life/art journey. I'll probably watch all of your videos.
Dudes like the African American Bob Ross! That calming voice hypnotized me into watching the entire thing. Love the vid and thanx for the great tips man.
So I was having a rough night the other night and couldn't sleep. Popped on some youtube and this came up in my recs. It's like Crafsman knew I was frustrated about it cause his dulcet tones sent me straight to sleep! Of course the next day I came back and rewatched the video and subbed. Thank you Crafsman, keep up the awesome work
Good morning Craftsman...I'm new....I just wanted to say that I've been binge watching your videos and I have had a blast watching ..thank you for sharing your creative mind with me.
At first i hated your voice cause your all ways whispering but now i can't stop watching your videos cause i find it so relaxing and helpful when i make my sculpture
When I turn the captions on, it has you say, “My name is your host, the crass man.” Don’t worry, though. We know you’re not a crass man. You’re the CrafsMan.
I’m gonna use this tutorial to make a replacement piece for my expensive glasses. I was told to buy new frames, but this will surely do the trick and save me a pretty penny. I really enjoyed watching your video! You are very knowledgeable and fun to see in action. Your accent/voice are great too.
Hi Crafsman! I don't how I found your channel but I'm so glad I did. I had very little interest in crafts before but now you've inspired me to try my hand at making some cartoon figures out of sculpting epoxy. I bought through your Amazon link and thanks to same-day shipping I hope to be starting as soon as tonight. I watched most of your videos with my wife and two kids yesterday and now we're all fans. We love your humor, positive outlook on like and relaxing style. Thanks for being you! Please keep making videos and crafts and we'll keep watching. We wish you all the best!
Oh man, Matt! I'm so grateful for people like you finding my work. The kindness is well appreciated, sir. I hope you and your family continue to enjoy my videos! Thanks so much for your consideration. These comments cancel out the negative ones I get. All the best to you guys!
MY MAN! Thank you so much! I'm aiming for about two weeks to have the chickens up, and may also pour up some more of my other figures. :D Again, can't thank you enough!
Another detailed educational video! Thank you, my friend! I was also nervous for a second thinking there will not be enough silicone 😊 Love your solution for the find-your-way cup 😁 Those sponsors should start pouring in. I'm awaiting "this video is made in a collaboration with #somegreasysponsor " 😎
:D Thanks so much, sibenka! I always appreciate your comments! I've been contacted over email by a few different ones, but really... if it's not something I think y'all could use, then I have to politely turn it down. I could have had some free different tools and chemicals, but y'all probably don't really need space-age dry electrostatic lubricant products. (That's just one.) One of the other ones seemed too dangerous to be doing a video about.
@@TheCrafsMan 😁 you are welcome! I don't even know what that means😂 Thank you for thinking on us! You are a good soul. I hope you will be able to monetize your effort. 😎
Love it! Thanks for this. I want to do the plastic shell thing, but the figure I want to make is several feet tall and there's no way I can afford to use the Mold Star silicone for that. I'm going to have to make the mold some other way.
Thank you for watching, Ed! :D One thing to consider is something like a "glove mold" or using brush-on silicone. Larger objects like helmets are often made with silicone that is brushed on, and can be supported by a rigid form. Uses WAAAY less silicone. :)
Omg-- *Come On!* at 10:08 he starts to reallly sound like Snoop, talking about a knick knack, jet pack patty wack. Like if you hear the resemblance haha 😂
Hey CraftsMan just wanted to thank you for making these videos you have inspired me to sculpt again. Keep up the good work and keep making awesome content.
Love your videos man! I'm a resin toy maker myself, been doing it for about 5 years. I'll definitely be recommending your videos when I find others interested in learning the craft or just want find a new hobby!
I really appreciate it! I go by Banshee Toys on instagram, all my info is on there. I'll definitely be picking up one of these guys, really love the concept and the pun in the name!
Your amazing! I love the way you speak, but, you give yourself away quite often. I haven't figured out if you are highly educated, or a brilliant self educator. 🤔 Either way... I see you. 😁💗 Your an incredible artist. Thank you so much for sharing.
@@TheCrafsMan Educated doesn't, always, mean schooled. The most intelligent person, I know, never made it through the 7th grade. He did, however, self educate, and, continues to do so. He, also, owns one of the largest international architectural firms in the world. Weather you have been schooled, or, are self taught, you are a very intelligent, educated person. Uhuh, I see you. 😀 Things I like; Your soothing (Bob Ross type) voice. The diversity of your videos. Mentioning your wife and family. Teaching. Sharing nice things. I hope, and pray, you never change this. 💗 Oh and rain on a tin roof. 😁
YES!! I needed this today! I lost my job, the weather is bad, my bird pooped on me, dog has fleas, and I broke my TOE. The big one. But I've been waiting on part 2 and here it is! Free range chicken is looking good. I love how the rubber hose turned out, it adds a lot of character. Your little characters always make me smile.
Man, Tom! I hope half of that did not really happen! Well... I would like to think all of that did not happen. But I greatly appreciate your enthusiasm for my videos! :) Hang in there, my friend!

Hey Crafsman,
As someone who works in the epoxy field I could give you some tips to help you while using epoxies/ silicones/ urethanes.
I like it!

Dudes like the African American Bob Ross! That calming voice hypnotized me into watching the entire thing. Love the vid and thanx for the great tips man.
Glad you enjoyed it, Ted!
I needed this. Your voice, humour and talent helped make a tuff day better. Thank you
SO happy to hear that, Karen! Thank you for taking time to leave wonderful feedback.
Yay! Another CrafsMan video!!! Thank you for all of your creative ideas!!!💜
P.S. I get discombobulated sometimes too!
Thanks so much! And I'm glad I ain't the only one with that problem. LOL!
So I was having a rough night the other night and couldn't sleep. Popped on some youtube and this came up in my recs. It's like Crafsman knew I was frustrated about it cause his dulcet tones sent me straight to sleep! Of course the next day I came back and rewatched the video and subbed. Thank you Crafsman, keep up the awesome work
Wow. Thank you so much for the super kind words. Knowing I'm able to help someone else is a big deal to me. :)
@@TheCrafsMan No problem at all my dude
If Bob Ross, Jim Henson, and Ludacris had a Luv Child= TheCrafsman.
I was thinking Bob Ross, Bill Cosby, with a pinch of Snoop Dog and a dash of Matthew McConaughey 🤣
@@the_radiant_patriot nailed it
LMBO
....and a dash of Mitch Hedberg perhaps
This is a creole or Cajun guy,
Channels like this is why I love youtube.
Wow. Thank you so much for that!
My day was not going well but crafsman came along and just took it all away
SNAP! So, so glad to hear that!
CrafsMan, you made me a Patreon supporter. Thank you brother!!
THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH for that! Really means a lot to me!
Good morning Craftsman...I'm new....I just wanted to say that I've been binge watching your videos and I have had a blast watching ..thank you for sharing your creative mind with me.
SO glad to hear that you like my videos! Thank you for watching them, and taking time to leave this very nice comment!
First timer here. That was strangely relaxing.Have a sub.
Excellent demonstration and explanation. A perfect guide to mold making.
I can make action figures of my floral foam molds now!
Thanks, man - you're the best :D
Sir I gotta say, your voice is very soothing!
Love the video, so much fun. Might give this a try in the future. Stay crafting my brother.
Thank you for the encouragement! I take it to heart!
I love, love, love this character. The voice makes it seem so kind!!
Thank you so much!

“Follow me”
“-Ok”
:D
At first i hated your voice cause your all ways whispering but now i can't stop watching your videos cause i find it so relaxing and helpful when i make my sculpture
When I turn the captions on, it has you say, “My name is your host, the crass man.” Don’t worry, though. We know you’re not a crass man. You’re the CrafsMan.
LOL! Mercy! These captions are cracking me up now. I don't know if I need to talk more clearly or what. :)
Amazing dude! the craftman voice is the best! xD
Glad you think so! Thanks so much for watching!
You're the first TH-camr I've seen telling folks to have an extra mold for the excess
The CrafsMan's wife be in the next room like, "betta not wake them kids!!!"
Proceeds to make video.
I’m gonna use this tutorial to make a replacement piece for my expensive glasses. I was told to buy new frames, but this will surely do the trick and save me a pretty penny.
I really enjoyed watching your video! You are very knowledgeable and fun to see in action. Your accent/voice are great too.
I'm done laying eggs. I'm about war. I'm outta here.
Just became a patron. Please let us know if you put the Free Range Chicken up on Etsy! Or/also Aqua?
MY MAN! Thank you so much! I'm aiming for about two weeks to have the chickens up, and may also pour up some more of my other figures. :D Again, can't thank you enough!
Excellent demonstration. Sometimes too quick mean "Learn nothing" You explained it very well
I appreciate that so much!
I think your videos are the best thing on TH-cam! Keep on Crafsman!
Aww snap, Wade! Thank you so much for the support!
Anybody else feel like we’re eavesdropping on his process? 😂
So *this* is what Snoop Dogg has been doing lately......Snoop Lion. DJ Snoopzilla. And now Snoop D-O double G Puppet. I dig it.
Fo' shizzle dizzle
Omg-- *Come On!* at 10:08 he starts to reallly sound like Snoop, talking about a knick knack, jet pack patty wack. Like if you hear the resemblance haha 😂
Lol!!
Hey CraftsMan just wanted to thank you for making these videos you have inspired me to sculpt again. Keep up the good work and keep making
awesome content.
Comments like that make me so glad I put these videos up! Hope you do get back at it, Garrett! :D
"You gotta haul butt! - - - excuse me, what I said..."
You're awesome lol
LOL! Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching!
So glad I found you and your channel! You’re very easy to understand, as you explain things well, and your smooth voice and style is awesome!
I can't wait to buy a free range chicken from your Etsy shop! And to try these products.
Thank you so much, my friend! Hope to record your MP3 today! :)
Love your videos man! I'm a resin toy maker myself, been doing it for about 5 years. I'll definitely be recommending your videos when I find others interested in learning the craft or just want find a new hobby!
Glad to hear from you! Thanks for watching this. Please feel free to email me any time! I'd be glad to check out your shop!

I really appreciate it! I go by Banshee Toys on instagram, all my info is on there. I'll definitely be picking up one of these guys, really love the concept and the pun in the name!
Thanks for the reply! I tried to find it and saw a bunch of dragon figures. :)
I guess that's me haha. I call em wormy bois, they do look a little dragon-like tho!

Thank you so much!
This guy needs to be a nighttime radio dj. His voice is awesome.
Wow, Tim. Thanks so much for the kind words.
OMG living in Australia sucks! You can't purchase of these products here. Also, great video.
I am so glad I found your chanel! I have always wanted to make my own little sculptures, and your voice is so soothing :) thanks.
So glad to hear it, Conrad! Thank you!
Your amazing! I love the way you speak, but, you give yourself away quite often. I haven't figured out if you are highly educated, or a brilliant self educator. 🤔 Either way... I see you. 😁💗 Your an incredible artist. Thank you so much for sharing.
Ooooohhhhhh snap! ;) That does my heart good....to have somebody thinking I'm highly educated.
Things I like; Your soothing (Bob Ross type) voice. The diversity of your videos. Mentioning your wife and family. Teaching. Sharing nice things. I hope, and pray, you never change this. 💗 Oh and rain on a tin roof. 😁
I just found your channel Craftman and I’m hooked, can’t stop watching and I love it!
I'm so glad you're enjoying my videos! Thanks so much for watching!
All I can say is Wow wow wow! They are amazing!
Thank you so much!!
Your videos always seem to make me happy when I’m feeling down and stressed, thank you Craftsman sir!
It does my heart good to know this! Thank you!
excellent tutorial and i thank you for it. i have some things i want to copy and have been putting it off for a long time because i figured it would be too complicated. you have not only made it much easier, i am now getting very enthusiastic about proceeding. i can't thank you enough!!!!
I FINALLY have a use for the 35,000 Newks cups I have in my garage. Love the videos.
Sir I just wanna say thank you I’ve been searching for days upon days how to make a pvc or resin statue I’ve had a dream of toy making and anime statue making since I was 9 Now that I’ve actually found someone that made such a great tutorial I can go out tomorrow and start this project for my first time you have helped me take that first step thank you
Wow. This means so much to me, that one of my videos has helped you in that way. I hope you have success with your toy-making adventures!
Well i wasn't expecting this to be hosted by a puppet. But he's smart, charming, and knows exactly what he's doing
I really enjoyed watching this video 🤍
Although this is a video tutorial ,which most of vedio tutorials are ending up being so boring
This channel gave me an enjoyable one !!
The greatest vedio tutorial so far!!
I love these videos! They are informative yet simple enough to understand. You're the Best Mr. CraftsMan. Thank you kind sir! 💖😁👏👏👏
Thank you so, SO much!
You’re the bob ross of our present!!! I love you, you’re awesome!!!
Awww, thank you!
Anyone else love The CrafsMan's commentary? His voice reminds me of a Gambit.
The last video I didn't get a Patreon notification for but this one I did so I'm really glad.
Once you put these on sale, you can bet I'll be buying one.
I really appreciate that!
