I love seeing the front of Union Station. I've been there many times using the Amtrak. The first video I ever saw of yours was a Flixbus review. I also didn't know such thing existed as Starbucks Reserve. I gotta find one of those!
I couldn't agree more. Union station gives a nostalgic vibe. Great architecture. Flixbus has served many passengers and I'm glad they exist and get affogato for me when you find Starbucks reserve. Cheers 🥰
i do see the local advantage of waiting in the car until the bus arrives with your family. That's so nice. This was a safe and easy trip to LA, I think it's not so bad. Can't say about farther trips. maybe in the future, I will be more adventurous 🥰
I don't think I'll try either as using coaches in my own country is stressful enough! But I enjoyed watching this as you're so fun and I'm always amazed how great you are at making new friends on your travels, both doggies and people 😆

I love your videos but as someone who has utilized Greyhound and Trailways stations of the past these are not bus stations. They are bus stops. Bus stations owned and operated by Greyhound had nice restaurants called Post House Restaurants. They had outstanding food, most had a buffet style service for the customers so they could eat without having to rush. Greyhound of old had meal stops scheduled at meal times. Bus stations had clean restrooms, friendly ticket agents and professional drivers. Where you catch the bus at today is a bus stop, not a station. Again this comment is not meant to be negative towards you, but FlixBus is intentionally trying to make Greyhound quietly go away because Flix does not like having union drivers. Greyhound no longer goes north of Sacramento. No service north of SAC to Portland or Seattle. It is truly shameful what Flix is doing.
Thank you for sharing 🥰 I do hear a lot of complaints on removing bus stations from greyhound. I haven’t experienced it & thank you for detailing what it was
All you said was spot-on. Rode the Hound as a youngster in the 60s and 70s and early 1980s. Bus travel just isn't very viable anymore. People have choices. Only the most desperate travelers take Greyhound or other buses. Flix will draw the remaining little bit of blood Greyhound has and fade it out--I predict in less than 5 years. The Greyhound of old was top-notch.
I think part of why many people have bad experiences with greyhound is the people using their service! I watched many bus travel videos and for some reasom greyhound always has customers that are badly behaving which frustrates the drivers and therefore they are more strict because they have to be. Also their customer service seems to be terrible.
Where in a Palm Springs does the Flexbus stop at, and how would you get from there to Downtown Palm Springs? Because it looks like the ‘stations’ don’t have much in the way of connecting infrastructure?
Flixbus: this was the worst experience I ever had. About 1/3 into the trip from phoenix to LA the entire bus started to stink like the toilet, an the odor got unbearable to the point where I did not want to breath air, but yet was stuck in this traveling hazmat situation. Needless to say, the driver also decide to put the guy with the facemark and covid signs next to me. So there went my LA excursion. Never ever again. I will fly next time.

@@babetravelling no. I had a seat assigned but when boarding the bus the driver said pick whatever seat you want. So I sat pretty far to the front. But even month later, the entire bus was filled with this potent smell of Urin. And forget about even consider to use it.
Great video! I’m actually on the Flixbus now! Short trip from Atlanta, GA to Greenville, SC. We also did not get the “real” green Flixbus haha. flixbus has newer buses than greyhound but both company are backing each other's schedule.. i rode a flixbus from Charlotte to Atlanta and the drivers were Chinese who don't speak English.. since i am familiar with the stops i helped passengers to name our bus stops..
Unfortunately, Flixbus owns Greyhound. The only difference is that Flixbus contracts out all work to other bus companies....and in the process, most of the Greyhound stations were sold...forcing passengers to wait in the elements. The buses used are just charter buses in a FlixBus wrap. From LA to Palm Springs, I wouldve just taken Amtrak Train 2 ( Sunset Limited ) or the Amtrak Bus, which literally takes you to Palm Springs Airport.

They are the same company. I miss the Greyhound of the old days. Tickets were significantly cheaper pre-COVID. I miss Greyhound package Express. They got rid of it in 2021.
