The foam is meant for close range or inside a vehicle because it's meant for prison transports so that it doesn't affect anyone in the vicinity of the deployment, one downside is that it can be used against the user by scooping to foam and throwing it back.
foam shines in indoors... its made for indoors. especially sensitive areas such as hospitals, theaters, etc. Edit: well foam gives good coverage like Cone. But you are right, stream is the best.
The word you're looking for is "indoors". Foam is for indoors so it won't spread all over the room like spray will. If someone is waring glasses, you can blind them with foam. Don't worry about the distance with pepper sprays, you don't want to use them at great distance because you will probably miss the face. Don't give them a warning shot at long distances, you need to nail them in the face with the first shot, then get out of there.
@@ConcealedCarryAndrew I could see this being a reasonable choice for someone who spends a lot of time on public transit systems more inclined towards chaotic encounters. I've been on a bus when someone nearby got hit with the traditional spray style hot sauce and let me tell you it was not a pleasant experience for everyone else in that part of the bus.

huh, I didn't think about foam coating and making glasses opaque. Great Point!!
I live in a windy area. I'm really disappointed. I thought foam was good for windy areas.
If I'm that far away already I'll prob just run haha
Running is the bestest when it's viable.
