  • When working as a therapy dog, there are several things that the dog must tolerate. This video shows some of the things that are included in the test for dogs approved by the Anthrozoology center in Ås, Norway. The video does not show the full extent of the test, nor in full how my dog Link handled the different situations he was put in.
You can read more about the test and the therapy dog course on my blog:

The music is a sample from a song called "Back back down" by Another Galaxy. Check them out on their own channel:

Hope you enjoyed the video, let me know what you think in the comments below :)

This was a good honest video, it helps others assess where there dog is in comparison to this so they can tell what to do next. Thanks very much.

I love this cause I was sorta taught that your dog may not react to anything (Shes a service dog in training but she is 4)i love seeing that Link can react and its ok cause my dog reacts the same way in almost every test - she'll look at the food but wont touch it and if someone screams she'll react in the same positive manner (we're working on barking but its not negative she just uses that as a calming mechanism for herself) and we have tested her in probably the most difficult situation - going to comic con where its all huge cosplays and weird looking nonsense and she was freaking fantastic - but this video absolutely helps confirm that my dog has the ability - we're working on her training but its comforting to see shes on the right track - thank you so much for posting this - Link is adorable!!!

Interesting how different some of these tasks are from what we use in therapy team evaluations in the US! Some very good situations are presented.
