    Solo Mode added! If you want to play Regicide solo, within the app, you can now do so. It's pretty addictive. Good luck with that Gold Victory :)

      Pls make it free! I love the design but don’t have the cards.

    Nice App! I did not know you can add the defeated opponents to your deck. I was discarding them after defeat.

      Hi IceCream! Yep you discard them (which in our brain means putting them in the discard pile) but our newer revision of the rules makes this more clear. Go get 'em!

    Kia Ora Team... Well done on a truly brilliant game. This app is a superb companion to an already stellar game! Great work...

    I love co-op games so I've been trying to design a co-op game with a deck of cards. I checked the internet to see if someone else had a similar inclination and: Voilá! This looks so cool and fun. I downloaded the app and I'm about to go try it for the first time with my friend. I hope to learn from these design ideas.

    I like the app. I've played few games with two d20 dice as counters, but the app makes the gameplay much smoother.

      Yes I did!! I mention it above in the description but it's normally hidden. Was because I was playing upside down :P

    I think your game has a glitch: The Ace of Clubs is not applying the double damage effect, even when paired with other cards. It's acting as though it is just a card with value of 1 without any suit powers.

    • @badgersfrommars
      @badgersfrommars  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I tested just now and seems to be working fine. Maybe you were playing it against a club enemy? They are immune to their own suit power. Let me know!

  • @zv9390
    @zv9390 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey I have a question. When you combined the 2 fives, I understood that it yielded 20 damage points to the opponent. But wouldn't you also get to draw 10 cards from the health pile bc one of the fives was a diamond?

    • @badgersfrommars
      @badgersfrommars  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi ZV! Playing a 5 of Clubs with a 5 of Diamonds means you add them together (for a total of 10) and resolve both powers at that number. So yes, you draw 10c cards and deal double 10 damage (20). However I played them against the Jack of Diamonds, which means I don't get to draw :(

      @@badgersfrommarsOhh okay, makes sense now. Thank you so much!

    Not sure if its a bug but it was not in the rules. Situation: when I had enemy with 10 health and dealt 10 clubs, app acknowledged as "exact damage" with 10 attack, however when had this situation again but dealt J clubs, it acknowledged as 20 and not exact damage.

    • @badgersfrommars
      @badgersfrommars  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi TheMacDeth! Thanks for checking it out. The reason the first attack with 10 clubs dealt exact damage was because you were attacking the Jack of Clubs who is immune to that power, so instead of doing 20, it only did 10. Undone by his own immunity... mmmmmwwahahahahaahhaha! Then you used that same Jack to attack another Jack on 10 health, it dealt the 20 and you missed exact damage.

  • @Satray01

    So when you play a spade, the damage is reduced for that entire fight or just for that round? Example: Fighting a Jack of hearts, player 1 plays a 6 of spades and defends the attack. When Player 2 goes, is the Jacks attack still reduced to 4, or is it back up to 10?

    • @badgersfrommars
      @badgersfrommars  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Adam. The shield effect of spades stays in play for the duration of that enemy and is cumulative for all players. In your example, player 2 is only facing an attack for 4, and if they were to play a 2 of spades with an ace of hearts, Player 3 would be facing an attack of 1.

    This would be so much cooler if the cards were RFID/NFC tagged and the app had an RFID/NFC tag reader so you could play the game more naturally without having to stop to interact with the app. Instead of having to make multiple precise touches on the app while having to visually identify where you need to touch, you could just hold the card up to your phone for a second and the app would do the rest. I'm no expert on the production of poker cards, but I wouldn't expect the addition of RFID/NFC tags to add much to the cost since the tags themselves are pretty cheap.

    • @badgersfrommars
      @badgersfrommars  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We actually looked into this pretty closely! We decided that the camera would be better and more accessible so left the RFID off the table, but by the time we were into the app development we found that we couldn't just the front camera as we had hoped. You could prop our phone up on a shoebox then tap and scan with the camera... would be much closer to RFID feel and you don't have to tap the screen.

      @@badgersfrommars I think having an option for RFID for those that is compatible would be nice.
