Thanks for the review! I remember a rather lengthy discussion during finalising the rules where we were talking about how exactly the Jester should affect the black suits. We settled on the previously spades Spades becoming active but not the previously played Clubs. This was mainly a thematic decision. It doesn't really make sense that removing the enemy's Clubs immunity should make attacks in the past suddenly deal more damage! However with damage from the enemy the damage is calculated at the time of the attack so it makes sense that your shields should now start working.
*Rules correction* the Jester only activates previous spades cards when facing a spades enemy. It does not do the same for clubs/clubs enemy.

That certainly makes a lot of sense theme-wise. Apologies for the rules gaffe!
The solo game is also pretty fun and not to bad to win. I've never gotten and gold victory but silver and bronze are not to bad
The app is also great for keeping track of the game and health of the enemy's for you

Are you sure the jester works retroactively. I can't find that anywhere in the rulebook and it doesn't make sense thematically

Okay so it’s just with the spades to reduce damage from an attack. Does not work with clubs.
