You seem like you'd play a great role in the hit Tv series The Boys. (probably as like a wholesome character that explodes and dies)
A green cristal in the lower left could have been used as a light source for drawing number 1. Anyway, great stuff bill.
@@UncleDickeysRandomLife LMAO
@@BillMakingStuff thanku
Bill: your drawing doesn't have to be good. This drawing isnt good.
*Draws a masterpiece
Your drawings are very good! I love the design and quality, this from a professional illustrator with 23 years of experience. 🤪
Legit just typed “how to draw/sketch” and before I even hit search your video posted 👀
Bill Making Exactly THAT Stuff You Needed.
Uh oh, this video posted just in time for an adhd obsession to kick in about learning to draw
Lmao you and me both
Me too
The unrelenting cycle of art optimism and art despair.
@@jessicastorey8966 damn.. i really felt that xD I found something art-y where I'm indeed satisfied with the results in miniature painting and kitbashing but traditional drawing is something that constantly eludes me. And I so want it xD
For me, Bill transitioned me from drawing to modeling/kitbashing
I find myself looking forward to your posts more than anyone else on the internet. Thanks for all your effort, Bill!
Him and the crafsman are the best
@@trevann8213 Wow - that's very encouraging! Bill is at what I call "goals" level. ...I'll never achieve the same level of rust and aesthetically-pleasing color, but I can keep ASPIRING. :D
@TheCrafsMan I think you're a greatly talented man crafsman and I know people like Adam savage have given tutorials or lots of tips for weathering, I find I always do something even better after a tutorial even if I already know how to do it
I spent seven years studying art & design & your teaching people more about techniques in 25 minutes than I ever got taught.
You sound dumb
God tier glazing
Amen
For random junk piles, rock piles etc, create a group of say 5 objects for each small, medium and large junk and then before you start drawing just rotate the page to a random angle and switch up the sizes, this has worked great for me
2 things.
1. I am SO excited for your skirmish rules set!
2. I often look through the Akira books for inspiration for ruins whether it's terrain or art.
Now that the new vid is out I remembered the game. In the meantime I forgot what he said about the rulebook. Do you know where it'll be available and much will it cost?
Over the years you inspired me to try watercolors and I've done my first two paintings recently and I am so proud of them. Thank you.
Please make more illustration videos!
You're fantastic at it, and I genuinely enjoy seeing all the different ways you bring The Gutterlands to life.
I would LOVE these sprinkled in from time to time. Love your creativity regardless.
The only thing I like as much as your creations is your illustrations! Never expected you to do a whole video focusing on it, let alone teaching as well. My favourite art teacher I've ever had.
I would a lot for a copy of your sketch book. I’ve been watching you videos since the beginning. I love your art and yours sketchbook feels a visual history of your channel.
Ol’ Brightside Bill back with another banger of a video! Excellent watching on this rainy evening, love watching your process of creating art.
The end result is like the most epic black felt poster ever created! Love watching your processes, whether it be making ore drawing. I always love when you share snippets from your sketchbook and watching this was a treat!
Love the way you sketch and draw. Been very much looking forward to this video!
You can refill posca pens with molotow refills. You have to use pliers and unscrew the caps clockwise instead of counter clockwise.
good tip thanks
magical like always. was waiting for a shell being ejected from the gun though
9:40 You were talking about how to make junk piles a little more random or natural. What if you lay or dumped junk out on the paper and traced the shape it formed. I've seen people trace rice piles to make their D&D maps feel more organic. Maybe you could do it with beads, scrap, off-cuts, failed builds and other junk and leftovers from previous projects.
"...obviously I'm going to cover it with more paint and ruin it..." - it's not just me then?! 🤣
This really is art attack for adults now isn’t it?
I would love to see more drawing mixed into the scratch building...whatever you make... drawings, music, things. Bill making stuff whatever it is is why I'm here
Hey, love your work! Tipp on drawing Piles of stuff: Start with drawing overlapping cicles of different sizes, in a vauge shape of a pile, and fill in the details afterwards, like garbagebags, Stones or Skull´s. Helps, me atleast.
I thought painting time with Bill was boring time with Bill. It's not, it's entertaining ... any trust I had towards this channel, slowly melting away
Breadmaker is so worth it. Do it.
Kids in the 80s and the 90s had Bob Ross, we have Bill. Nice.
There's a hint of Brendan McCarthy to these two pieces, with the vivid colours and the chunky shapes. Love them.
I'm looking at these and all I can think is that they'd make for awesome art for a card game.
I second this! 😗🤌
This sort of art is right up my alley and I've been looking for something to inspire me to get off my arse and draw something so, thank you kind sir. The lack of mess helps.
Loved watching these come together, they're so cool! Looking forward to Skirm as well!
TRY IT YOURSELF!
Guess it makes sense that Bill is my Neil replacement
God bless you Bill, you are a gift and a treasure.
You inspire me to create and have fun doing it.
I can't thank you enough for that❤️
That is brilliant🎉
All I want is space dwarves by bill now. please don't let your dwarf dreams be dreams, kit bash them into reality. awesome video BTW and cheers.
I do love this video (and all your videos) as stuff like this is just important for anyone who wants to be creative to hear. Even if no one ever uses these techniques specifically I still think the lessons imparted of trying, experimenting, and just doing are super important. I have really enjoyed watching this and can't wait to give it a try myself. Thanks again Bill and looking forward to your skirmish book coming out, and all the other future creative endeavors you have in the works. Cheers and here is to see you reach episode 100 and beyond.
Dude, this was awesome. Keep it
Great how to on the drawing and watercolouring. looking forwards to seeing a role playing book based off of your work, Bill. Any thoughts on when you may get it out. Love to buy it when you make it.
Also, India ink is so satisfying to worn with and watch.
More videos like this please!!!
These are really cool pics, wanna try the style for some Mordheim, Spacehulk, Gorkamorka and Necromunda pictures
I love your art!
Bill being a fellow Squat lover has made my day
Bleach art, ran into this in the 1960s. We used colored construction paper. I drew a helmet with a face basket where the teeth might be.
How Anyone Can DRAW Quickly And EFFECTIVELY
Step 1 - make a bit of a fun, messy background by just sloshing paint around - okay Bill, with you so far...
Step 2 - be really good at drawing, with a strong understanding of form, structure, balance and lighting - ffs Bill.
(I kid, that was a cool video)
This is brilliant
I really need to see you collab with Colganology.
Bill you look so soft and fluffy in this video. New conditioner?
YOU don’t wanna lick bleach… 😆 Those are all excellent pieces!!! So many of the techniques ye described are very much fundamentals for us in tattooing, as bold and eye-catching are important! (Also, many of us totally come from a lot of retro sci-fi/fantasy inspirations!!!) Beautifully explained!
You need to create a Morph and Chas in honour of Take Hart and Vision On and make a diorama for your table.
PS! When your water colors are getting messy, You can clean them up by just washing them in the dish washer.
I love Bill Drawing Stuff! Please post more videos like this.
Still waiting on that Cat poster, game, mug… action figure… I like cat. More cat would be nice. Thank you.
I think we can all agree: 1 this vid was great and 2 MORE!
Draw me like one of your French Bead Bots.
Sorry someone had to say it, and I feel ashamed ans dirty right now but I'm the type of person that has to fill empty voids of perfect silence with weird jokes that only I understand.
Have a nice rest of your day you all.
WABALABA DAB DAB!
Bill if you want a bread maker, hit up the charity shops. I promise you'll find 1200
I am pretty sure that a quick skirmish game is a TTRPG with the RP removed. I would start with a fast rules lite system like EZd6. Also you would like the art.
The initial style of art you show us here, the predominantly black imagery, reminds me so much of the original Cyberpunk pen and paper RPG art. I loved it, even in all its wonkiness. lol May find some inspiration there for dealing with trash piles / rubble?
This rules!
I’ve always been on the fence but… man this video opened my eyes. That’s it, Bill has convinced me…
I’m gonna start being an abusive husband.
Uniball Air is my absolute fav ❤❤ Glad you use em. I have this fear that they will stop making them. This fear keeps me up at night.
Yeah i like to see more illustration video's bazzer.. uhm Billy. I mean Bill! It's Bill!
Here I thought "samagiz" were only eaten at funerals, with the crusts removed of course.
Cool, this got me in a drawing mood. I guess I oughta give your techniques a try, albeit digitally... somehow. I've been looking for new ways to draw things.
Impresionante. Lo haces lucir fácil.
Love this so much. thanks Bill. I might actually do something and tag you on insta. You are a great teacher... 🤗
Really awesome video and super fun to see Art by Nohr used for flattening the pages I love that book

Love the 3 colours thing, wondering about trying a 3 colour thing on a mini...
Beautiful piece of work 👍👍
Fantastic stuff mate! I especially liked your little shout out the Lucio Fulci 🍿
The Dwarven mining company sounds very ROCK AND STONEy to me!
Entertaining as always, Bill👍 And both artworks look so cool👍 (so do the rest too!)
What do you think of pigma micron pens?
my friend you have one of the most beautiful arts that i have seen
come to brazil kkkkkkkkk
I'm sure you know about them already, but since you asked, Etherington Brothers How to Think when you Draw has, in my opinion, the best guides for drawing basically anything. Including piles of stuff.
I was going through all older episode's.. where is 69?
Ooh the final line work was really nice to watch. For your junk piles what if you made a texture roller? Roll out some cos clay, jam some greeblies in it and when you take it out you have a press mold texture. You could then just ink/stamp as is or maybe bake it to a paint roller? This is just something I've seen sculptors do recently so i haven't the foggiest if it'd work for painting. Cant wait to see more of your work!
Or just a few junk-shaped stamps, that way you can also turn them and print them a few times at different angles.
First Bangarang, Now this game! Looking forward to the full-blown RPG!!!
I really like the style of your drawings!
Im really considering trying to snag "Boom." Although I live in the US, would shipping internationally be an option. I see you have a US eBay link, but it doesn't have anything listed. However, that may just be on my end.
nah I think its the international global shipping thing aint too bad
This was fantastic! I wish you great success with the game!
Art Attack and BITSA surely...
Brilliant! I fully support more Bill Illustrating Stuff episodes.
Happy you did one on just drawing
Nice work bud
What about the scrap titan, are you going to redo that too, or you're going to leave it the way it is. Also I love the drawing and that scrap titan video, and that video was the one who got me introduced to you and your TH-cam channel. And I'm glad I did 😊😮
Heck of a way to build up hype for your next game! This book is gonna look freakin' sweet.
This is a great video I am glad your wife had the wisdom to tell you to do it. Unfortunately I always have to do what my wife says and I am the one that makes the "samwichs" in my house...
There is art in making sandwiches though ..
Skrim? Skrim. SKRIM!
take the money you would spend on a bread maker and just buy a couple of nice loaf pans. No kneed to buy an overpriced bowl oven.
I paid 7 quid for my bread maker, brand new from a charity shop, lots of charity shops sell amazon returns now, it's a good machine and the bread comes out tasting lovely and it just looks and smells amazing, I've tried making bread in my oven and I always make a mess of it
Buzzing that this just came up, been looking at getting back sketching and needed some good inspiration!
I love your illustrations bazzer
Absolutely Brilliant
Bill = 🔥Legend🔥
Yes, teach us your secrets Bill...
I'm really looking forward to reading the rules for the new game! My daughter and I craft together all the time. Making bead bots is one of her favorite things. I think it'd be cool for us to make our own teams to battle against. Such a cool idea.
I’m so glad you did this. The illustration you did is somehwat reminiscent (to me at least) of the great Bill Sienkiewicz without being remotely derivative. I think it’s the ink splatters against the watercolor background and the sillhouhetted images.
I dunno.
The splatter from the muzzle flash indicates incomplete burning of the propellent which is the kind of thing you'd expect to see of it was improvised from junk.
Coleslaw is the hardest to draw
thats a very cool scrap beast
Bob Ross eat you're heart out
3 minutes in and im cackling
