- After my 1988 CRX Si B16A transmission failed, I decided to pull everything out of the engine bay, re-paint it, and swap in a B18C Type R engine and transmission.

Underrated TH-cam channel.
Thank you. 🙏🏻
Hi Seth,
Excellent idea to take close-ups as a tutorial.
It's great for the community, but it requires more shooting and time 😅
As an autobody guy i enjoy watching your videos on this stuff. Keep up the good work.
Still amazed after all your builds what you can achieve in your garage, keep up the energy Seth its going to be a great swap. Keen to see what the next video brings.
Thanks! Hoping it comes together easily, but I’m sure there will be a few hurdles.
NICE! I know how much you were dreading this. Spot on regarding all the reasons! Really happy for you, bro! Bring on the B18.
Thanks. I’m definitely ready to get it back on the road.
good job man! sundays are less depressing ever since I started following your channel, so excited to see the crx back on the road
Great comment
Glad to hear it! Thanks for joining along!
As always, great video of another CRX build.
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome progress! I know it must have been nice utilizing the experience from the last 88 build with this update. Looking forward to assembly video.🔥🔥🔥
It definitely becomes more familiar. Haha.
Once AGAIN! The Man, The Myth, The Legend BOSS MOFO CRXSETH! 💥💪💥💪💥 SOOOOOO CLEAN BRO!
Haha. Appreciate it.
Nice work seth. My crx is primed. I think its ready with paint over 3 weeks. Then i do the same swap my 1.6 dohc to b18c4. And painting the engine bay myself. Love to see the progress. ✌🏻🇳🇱
Good luck!
The bay turned out good! Great work!
Thank you!
You're getting efficient at this! Nice work.
It’s still way too much work. Haha.
Funny I remember you saying when finished with the last project you were thinking about redoing the engine bay in the 88 but not at the moment, looks like the 88 had other plans 😂
Haha. When that tranny blew itself up, I knew right then what had to be done.
The result is very good!
Nicely done and _Very_ thorough. 🙂👍 The masking must have been 'fun'. 😁
Sometimes you just have to grit through it.
@@crxseth You're a better man than me, as I strongly suspect I'd be more likely to curse through it. 😁
Looking nice and clean!
Prep is the most important thing when painting a car !
Looking good man. Coming along!
Thanks 👍
GREAT JOB!
Excellent work. Looking forward to the progress
Looks great
Aways excited for updates
Excellent work!
Im prepping my Evo's engine bay for paint. Not a fan of sprayimg clearcoat on it. But im wondering wondering if maybe i should. Ugh! Decisions!
I definitely would.
wow your channel grew!
Premium content 👌
please correct me if I am wrong. Originally the engine bay and under the hood does not have clear from the factory? Only the door jams are clear coated?
that's correct...but it's so beautiful afterwards 😀.
I did the same thing on my CRX Vtec.
That appears to be the case. But clear coat will look better and last longer hopefully.
@@CrxBreizh thank you for confirming. I am restoring my 95 Civic and was thinking to to the exact finish as factory, no clear under hood and trunk. appreciate your helpful videos. ~ Mike
Yo. Looking good. 🔥🔥
13 min aint enough lol great video keep up the good work man you need more subs
Thanks. It took 3 days, but only 13 minutes of footage! A lot of the footage would have been very boring if I included it such as masking, washing, more sanding, etc.
