  • Welcome to 'Little Seoul', where Koreans have invaded District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City. With over 180,000 South Koreans living in Vietnam, what exactly does this mean and why?
So join me as I explore this Korean area of Vietnam, from eating the food, exploring the neighbourhood and diving into the history that has led to this.

Koreans didn’t build the Phu My Hưng area that was developed by a Taiwanese developer Lawrence S Ting .
It was a massive planned community that Koreans love to live in hence all the Koreans living there

I like Phu My Hưng area due to all the trees. Concrete roads and sidewalks absorb heat from the sun and release heat at night. Trees provide shade for concrete and keep the ground cooler.

Good thing i like about Korea are they are very religious and go to church. Foods amazing.
The thing i dont like is they sometimes are notorious like Chinese before them as they will only go to Korea owned cafes and Korea owned restaurants.
They have large Viet supermarket Vincom but travel to the other side of the city just to go to Lottemart.
Its funny because in Australia i live with them and they are friendly and lovely. But in Vietnam they like to think they are VIP rich people walking around and also im not sure if they are slightly scared of white people maybe also language barrier.
At first i was frustrated but i have opened up and starting saying hello and even saying unya sayo. I even know a bit of Korean like nae iramen Creees.
Also i love Tottenham and thats the most popular team in Korea.
Lets all be friends Korea Australia Vietnam or wherever you original come from

Koreans just go for the best quality. The best quality is usually found at Korean cafes, restaurants and markets. Don't hate because someone likes good quality. If you like poor quality that's your choice.

I will agree K-pop is pretty good but k dramas im not into at all.
    They are too out there.
Japans been swept aside for some reason but Japanese tv shows and especially Japanese movies are amazing
I love Viet movies and tv shows as well as its similar to Japan where the silly funny movies are easy watching and culturally so funny but also serious Japanese and serious Vietnamese movies always make me cry.

So you never watched Squid Games? Never watched Crash Landing on You? Never watched Train to Busan? Never watched Parasite? When's the last time a Japanese movie won the Academy Award for Best Picture?? You must live under a rock.
