- Welcome to 'Little Seoul', where Koreans have invaded District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City. With over 180,000 South Koreans living in Vietnam, what exactly does this mean and why?
So join me as I explore this Korean area of Vietnam, from eating the food, exploring the neighbourhood and diving into the history that has led to this.

Koreans didn’t build the Phu My Hưng area that was developed by a Taiwanese developer Lawrence S Ting .
It was a massive planned community that Koreans love to live in hence all the Koreans living there
Hey, I just discovered your channel. I like that fact that you give us some history.
Its Phu My Hung bro 😂, thats my hood. I live a street away from VN celeb Colorman. Love the vlogs my man.
Hello Khải, I love your vlogs in Vietnam. 😍🇻🇳
Good to see you're doing more videos in Vietnam, David.
How much did you pay for the Korean BBQ restaurant meal? - Keep up the great work
20:39 he paid 750,000 VND
30$.
Nice video 👍 keep it up
Great video. Parts of it reminds me of Seoul.
Thank you for the tour That $30 meal looked great! Salutations from Tennessee , USA.
Informative
That’s too much food 🤣 invite me next time. Great vid thanks
한국은 베트남과 좋은 관계를 유지하는중 ㅎㅎ
Love Vietnam from S.K
Why do korean men wear make up? 😂
Phu My Hung, D7. I often go there for Jimjibang (Golden Lotus Spa) 😊
I like Phu My Hưng area due to all the trees. Concrete roads and sidewalks absorb heat from the sun and release heat at night. Trees provide shade for concrete and keep the ground cooler.
I miss Korean food in Aus for sure
They are absolutely everywhere in HCMC bro! Even J Town in D1 is more Korean now
Dont you mean .The korean republic of Vietnam
Nice video David that you showed the area in PMH, getting to know the Koreans... they love karaoke and there're clubs with real Koreans hostesses there that you forgot to show your Kimchi love interests :)
there’s a lot of korean tourists and influence of Korean food and culture start picking up in the Philippines as well
I’ve heard! It’s spread so quickly
why they move here, easy for answer Phở, Bánh Mì, Bún Chả, Mango, Mangosteen:) .COConut and coffee.
you might wanna rename the tag line of this vid. it's offensive.
It's Phu My Hung not My Phu Hung
"How are you"="khoẻ không"
"Khoẻ không"="are you ok"
@@anv8989haha stupid 😂
@anv8989: idiot 😂
I’m Korean American never knew about their good relationship with Vietnam.. that’s cool.. love how you talk about the history on your travels
Prefer content outside VN, too many YT’s here. Wen back to India?
Not this year, perhaps next year. Let me know of any other good places to visit
That Melona footage needs a NSFW tag
Ayooo pause
Thought you are going to visit your fiancé in the real south korea?
😂😂 I an thinking about heading there this year so we’ll see lol
Homie, less talk about all the personal opinions and cultural BS, focus on foods and girls please. I had to skip half of the video bc of this
Good thing i like about Korea are they are very religious and go to church. Foods amazing.
The thing i dont like is they sometimes are notorious like Chinese before them as they will only go to Korea owned cafes and Korea owned restaurants.
They have large Viet supermarket Vincom but travel to the other side of the city just to go to Lottemart.
Its funny because in Australia i live with them and they are friendly and lovely. But in Vietnam they like to think they are VIP rich people walking around and also im not sure if they are slightly scared of white people maybe also language barrier.
At first i was frustrated but i have opened up and starting saying hello and even saying unya sayo. I even know a bit of Korean like nae iramen Creees.
Also i love Tottenham and thats the most popular team in Korea.
Lets all be friends Korea Australia Vietnam or wherever you original come from
Koreans just go for the best quality. The best quality is usually found at Korean cafes, restaurants and markets. Don't hate because someone likes good quality. If you like poor quality that's your choice.
I will agree K-pop is pretty good but k dramas im not into at all.
They are too out there.
Japans been swept aside for some reason but Japanese tv shows and especially Japanese movies are amazing
I love Viet movies and tv shows as well as its similar to Japan where the silly funny movies are easy watching and culturally so funny but also serious Japanese and serious Vietnamese movies always make me cry.
So you never watched Squid Games? Never watched Crash Landing on You? Never watched Train to Busan? Never watched Parasite? When's the last time a Japanese movie won the Academy Award for Best Picture?? You must live under a rock.
I can’t get into Viet shows for some reason haha. I’ll have to give it another go
