Am really glad that I clicked on this today. I have way gotten off track since July. Have gained 15 pounds in 5 months! 😢 (very discouraging) So, after indulging over Thanksgiving and the weekend, I weighed on Monday morning. My heart dropped. I, too, stopped weighing for 4 of those months. So, hearing you recount the habits you had let go of has inspired me. And what better time than now, rather than waiting until after Christmas! Thankyou for sharing your story. I needed to hear it. ❤️
After eating the Carmel corn a student gave to me this morning….. I realized I need to snap out of my lazy attitude and get back to simple plant-based foods! Thank you for the motivation. I’m ready to loose MY 12-15 lbs as well.
Menopause- HRT put 10lbs on me quick. Reduced that to a minimum and got back to simplicity, that has helped immensely. Increased my green veg and walking. I don’t love potatoes but will eat them and rice. Eating more simple bowls of brown rice, beans, greens and other veggies with either a tiny bit of avacado or a little plant based sauces. Down 6lbs.
This is perfect for me right now, thank you. I was actually weighing myself daily while trying to get back on track and the weight just kept going up. I was 4 months not exercising after an injury so gained more weight after a stressful 9 months prior gaining back all the weight I'd lost and then some. Went through menopause too and my belly just keeps growing. Determined to cut out all the little bad habits from an otherwise good, whole food diet. Thankfully I'll have my hubby join me in it.

I’d love to know more about how you plan your dinners without recipes. We have VERY busy evenings with kids activities, so I do meal planning. Does your whole family eat the same meal? I try to cook 6 nights a week at least so I’m trying to not rely on take out.
I had a question about your 1 lb of veggies. Are those raw or cooked? I just ate about 9 oz of raw carrot and zucchini chunks. I swear it took me forever to gnaw through them. 😅

From Halloween and thru Christmas has put on at least 6 pounds. So it's no more cookies and candy at least until Valentine's day.

It is a balanced, realistic approach that works for my family.

I did and I’m a burn extra sometimes haha I would suggest starting slow.
