      Hello, I find all of your videos very helpful, but can't ignore my core problem, emotional eating and eating out of boredom, I am 16 and have been having trouble with this since I was 9, I really want to better my diet but I always end up snacking hard like on at least a 1000 calories of sweets a day because of bordom... I eat full nutritious meals but I can't seem to stop... Please can you help me reaxh my goals and be healthy?

    I love how often you talk about maintenance. It feels like the culture is obsessed with weight loss and no one even signals that there is an end point!

    I'm 65 and this is very helpful. I'm always looking for ideas to maintain my slender figure. It's not always easy. Pounds can creep up. Will definitely try the soup that healthy mummy does. Love your relationship with your parents.

    57yo post menopausal woman here, with tons of hours of research & classes - plus, preventative medicine doctor's professional advice. Great choices! I eat most of those. Be careful. Quick oats & white rice are high on the glucose level; will spike your blood sugar. I found out for myself (200 +) via a glucose monitor. Also, my preventative med doc concures. Steel cut oats is the way to go. Wild rice is low on the glycemic level; brown rice in the medium range. Yes, to beans, every day! Keep up the good work, healthy mommy!

    I like to use Farmer We Know sprouted oats. I also put carrots and zucchini in my oats. I have been lucky to find a spinach, kale, and swiss chard mix that I add to soups and more.

    Per dr Michael Greger, chia seeds should be ground and presoaked in water for maximum benefits.

    This was so good Emmie and Healthy Emmie Mom! I loved it. Curious what the soup variety was? I've tried the split pea. I would love to see more like this with the actual meals too. Can I pin that graphic of foods for benefits? It looked great. xx, Molly

    Every time I eat oatmeal for breakfast (with flax seeds and hemp hearts and fruit), I am starving within an hour or two. What could be causing that? P.S. I loved this info-packed video.

      I would think you need some protein and fat. Since you have the carbs and fibre. Maybe eat an egg and eat some nuts ( cashew or almond). Or nut butter

      oatmeal rapidly increases blood sugar levels, which soon results in a rapid drop in energy and hunger...

    Thanks Emmie and Healthy Mummy. I enjoyed the tour. But I’m a bit sad that we can’t get the Pique products in Australia. Well we can but the postage is Au$50. 😳😅 I have seen so many great offers from them but unless I can get it on Amazon Australia or a better deal on postage then I won’t buy it.

    For the soup you said you add 1 cup rice to 2 cups water and then start adding lots of stuff. That doesn't seem like enough water. Did I miss something? Do you cook the rice first or most of the way, then add more water? Thanks!

    • @HealthyEmmie
      @HealthyEmmie  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You are starting with a box of Dr mcdougall soup and then adding a cup of water! The full recipe is in her cookbook on my website :)

    If your body only needs 2.4 mcg of B12 per day and you have a B12 pill with 500 mcg, what does your body do with the other 497.6 mcg of B12 that it does not need and since 100% of the cyanide does get absorbed how will that effect the body?

      Lower glycemic when paired with the fats and seeds, but some people do not do well with that much fiber. Also, many plants are high oxylate and not beans very high in lectins. Personally, I feel better with some meats and SOME nonstarchy vegetables, berries etc and could modify some of these recipe formulas such as some ground turkey and quinoa in the soup, no beans.
