Long story short, there is a loophole in Brazil’s laws regarding sedans sold with diesel engines. Apparently, any diesel passenger vehicle sold in Brazil must be 4x4 and must have low/high gearing. A company called Tropical seemed to turn diesel trucks into family-style cars to get around this loophole, so behold: the F250 Super Duty “Sedan” was born. I have a 2021 F450 and the experience has been eye opening. I like the truck for its power and hauling capability but I’m disappointed with the maintenance cost, ride quality and reliability. I’m retired and use the truck for occasional hauling a travel trailer. It does that very well! But at 47k miles, I had to have the steering drag link and stabilizer replaced. At $192 per hour labor charge, that cost $1,500. Diesel fuel cost, fuel mileage, 13 quart oil changes, air filter, fuel filter and fuel/water separator all cost significant money. I don’t agree with Ford’s 10,000 mile oil changes so I’m changing the oil way more frequently. In addition, I add fuel treatment at every fill up in hope that I will avoid the CP4 fuel pump from destroying the fuel system. I wish Ford would recall that pump because I lay awake at night thinking about the $12,000 bill for rebuilding the fuel system. After three years of ownership, I do regret buying this truck. My previous truck, a Toyota Tundra, was less capable but way more reliable and much cheaper to run. I should have just gotten a smaller trailer.

Their houses?
Sometimes, their cars, a camper/caravan/trailer (like when they want to move to a new house), building materials and equipment (like bulldozers etc). You'd have to get the F-650 (the biggest F-series) if you want to tow your house😂.
Your Mom
Their fat mommas
Yes actually haha. For real though. Large camping trailers. Work trailers for various things. Sure an F150 can tow 13k lbs but it’s not the best tool for the job especially when elevation and steep grades come into play. If you need to tow over 10k lbs that’s where this truck makes sense. Also it can hold 3k lbs in the bed if you need to carry heavy stuff.

Heavy duty truck suspensions are made to carry maximum payload and are stiff it's a trade-off they make for comfort
If that needs to be mentioned to anyone buying a 2500 or bigger then they probably don't need to purchase one
@@joeborghese7241 Doug in his video of the GMC 2500 aev he mentions that he doesn't know why heavy duty trucks are so stiff and uncomfortable to drive, why they haven't figured it out yet. I was baffled, especially coming from him, a car reviewer.
All the yuppies buying these trucks, I give it 5 years and new HD trucks will have ultra plush suspension so the soccer moms stop bitching.
Love it when Doug said unless you really need this truck consider a Ford Ranger. Haha. Those driving $100k 3/4 and 1 ton rigs do so because of the size and status. You can’t show up to the golf course on Saturday in a Ford Ranger when your buddy has a King Ranch. Even his buddy’s wife drives at least a 1/2 ton truck/SUV. Few need a truck to tow 30k pounds. They use it for the golf course, grocery store and to tow a 3k pound boat on the weekend. It’s big, luxurious and makes the other guys at Home Depot jealous. Merca!!!!!!

@@volvo09 Tell that to the owners of the rather alarming amount of large, spotless trucks devoid of any sign of work related wear that sit in every department/grocery store parking lot that I see on a regular basis. People buying these things as a status symbol/ego thing isn't new.
People that buy these don't complain about gas prices. Careful, your communism is showing.
